Stus-List CBC 26 rudder post

2019-07-13 Thread Anthony Coppola via CnC-List
Can someone with a cnc 26 (1978) send me a picture of the rudder post/ tiller
attachment. I recently purchased a 26 and the post is just a tube with a hole
drilled in it for the screw that holds the tiller handle. It doesn’t look
right. Shouldn’t it have some kind of fitting on top of the post for the
handle to attach to, also cover the top of the post?

Re: Stus-List Downsides to having a boat on the hard?

2019-07-13 Thread Jack Fitzgerald via CnC-List
Babs,

Shrink wrap it correctly with proper ventilation and the mast un-stepped
and stowed. disconnent the batteries unless you have a way to keep them
maintained Then make sure that there is absolutely no way for rain water
to ingress into the boat. I have seen far too many stored boats literally
sink while on the hill.

Good luck

Boats were not designed to sit on jack stands. They were designed for
their weight to be supported evenly in the water. Some boats can
experience deformations. Usually manifests with doors and hatches not
closing proper. It can also present when sighting the hull. A reasonable
surveyor should be able to detect problems, especially if they are on guard
for the signs.

Listers,As many of you know, I’m having a fellow C Lister captain and his

thought it may be useful for them to see an interior and exterior tour of the

Replaced the plastic levers on our Edson pedestal w SS levers 15 years ago.
They're easier on the hands and look nicer. One of the plastic levers had a
crack.
