Subject: Stus-List Best for those in Dorian's path and storm tracking resources

Been watching Dorian for 3-4 days now.  Scary storm.
At one point the ECMWF model showed it tracking across Florida into the Gulf
making landfall at Orange Beach, AL just west of Touche's slip in Pensacola.
Got my attention.  Reminiscent of Katrina.
Anyway, whichever way Dorian goes, my thoughts will be with all in its path.
Best outcomes for you if you are affected.

I like for monitoring the forecast tracks of
tropical storms.  I tend to favor the ECMWF and HRWF models.
https://www.sfwmd.gov/weather-radar/hurricane-model-plots and
https://spaghettimodels.com/ are also good resources.
Windy.com will display the storm in an animated fashion.  You can select from
the NAM, ECMWF and GFS models.  I think windfinder.com relies on the HRWF model
but also will show the storm in easy to view fashion.

We had great luck using Aurora Clear View to clear up the ports on our Redwing

Installed it to help vent fumes from the alcohol stove. It's a Lewmar.
It's either a Size 1 or Size 0.

Install wasn't difficult. Trick was to shim the gap between the bulkhead
and headliner to get consistent thickness all around.

the interior odors down by circulating air while the boat is closed up during

Nice work Neil!

plexiglas. Pics at

I wanted the smoked plexiglas for the dark grey color to match my new black

As a special touch I drilled upward-slanting ventilation holes in the pattern
of the C star on either end of the cove stripe.

Cost me ~$200 for the material, plus an hour or two drinking beer and operating
table saw and drill press in my crew member Jerrod Milton’s wood shop.

them. The new windows have stood up well for 10 years. Having said that, I
have friends in my harbour with a C 32 who ordered the kit and the very same
fibreglass shop had a bit##@ch of a time getting them to fit and they
complained that the support from Dan was poor. After removal of the old
windows, the new plexi is put into place with sealant and the frame provides
compression to the seal by numerous through screws with wing nuts on the
inside of the cabin. Once cured, the frames outside are calked, the wing nuts
inside are removed and white nylon cap nuts are placed over the screws. Looks
good from outside. It's not an awful look inside but the nuts are noticeable
(to me, no one else has ever commented on them) and the shop had to re-install
the accordian curtains a little higher to clear the nylon cap nuts. Overall,
the cost and new appearance was well worth having a dry boat. Cost for the kit

I haven't looked at his website to see if there are other reviews so this is my
