Still have original oiled teak interior. Every spring wipe stairs and entire
interior with lemon oil furniture polish. Let sink in. Wipe dry with clean
soft cloth. Does wonders to clean the teak and smells great. Prevents mold
and removes any that may have formed. Usually do it on a warmish sunny day in
February or March when cover is still on with tunes on the radio. Boat
interior is comfortable and whole job takes 2 afternoons.

We finish with Howard Feed & Wax, a beeswax/orange oil polish

I use Watco Teak oil available at Home Depot and Lowes if that's what
your referring to.   I usually wipe the wood down with a cleaner like
diluted Pinesol in a spray bottle.  Then I clean the wood with
Denatured Alcohol and let dry.  Then use a soft terry cloth rag to
wipe on some teak oil.  Let soak in and wipe off any excess.  It
seals the wood and hides any dings and makes look very nice.

Stus-List Re: Finishing on 1990 30-2 companion way stairs

2022-05-06 Thread Allan Rheaume via CnC-List

Anyone know what these were finished with? Looking to clean ours up and
refinish the treads.
