the
Lake Ontario Short Handed Race Series, #2 on Saturday and #3 on Sunday. I am in

It never fails to amaze me how even 10 miles from shore or any object there can
be a wind hole. One minute you are sailing along in 4 - 6 kts of steady breeze,
the
spinnaker pulling nicely, then in a matter of a few feet you enter the hole. The
apparent goes straight forward, caused by the boat speed, the spinnaker blows
back and wraps around the forestay - mast - shrouds, and the main rises to
center.
A few hundred feet later you drift out of the hole and the wind is back.

And. you still have the whole of the Eastern Shore south of where you are -
the Corsica - the Chester - Eastern Bay and the Miles - the Choptank and Tred
Avon - and you still haven't been below the middle of the Bay. Our county alone
(Talbot) has roughly 6-700 miles of shoreline - little and big rivers (really
tidal - very little current) and wonderful anchorages.

Other than that, it is kinda boring.

Chuck, had a great sail to Swan Creek Saturday, not so good coming back on
Sunday. We were looking for you out there, but no luck. Like Joe says, Corsica
is great, but I prefer Reed Creek just shy of Corsica. I should be sailing the
Comet NA's this weekend on the Chester at Rock Hall YC, but work has gotten in
the way. We'll keep an eye out for you and one day meet up for drinks at PSA or
Broad Creek.

Everybody is happy, because nobody wins and nobody loses. What a concept.

Very different Corsica is very dark and silent right now. Occasional peacock
and owl calls is it.

 Hi Joe,
So glad I made this move and my wife is liking the change too. I hear
wonderful things about Corsica River, but first I must explore Magothy. So
many hidden coves and creeks, so little time

Was on the boat Friday till this afternoon. No WiFi at my marina.

Spectacular weekend of sailing in a new to me sailing venue; Saturday I met
new friends visiting from Georgia, sailing in 14 to 25 knots making 7.3
upwind and down. The next day, got my AC working, sailed flat water w 6 knots
wind, overnighted with the admiral at anchor, sunset dinner. Counting stars
and sipping wine until the moon rose from behind the treelined shore.
The third day my daughter joined us and we sailed to a different little cove
and went swimming. Many great memories, many wonderful first impressions of
 the Magothy River.
