Last one I got was Oden's phpLDAPAdmin:
Thu, 14 Aug 2003 16:01:04 +0200 (CEST)

I uploaded samba3 about 17h00 (15h00 UTC) on 16 August, which made the
mirrors and cvs
(http://cvs.mandrakesoft.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/contrib-SPECS/samba3/)
but not the changelog list.

What exactly is the bug? CVS is supposed to start vi by default to have to
write the commit log message when you do a commit/import/etc.

Or maybe it is ignoring your EDITOR environment and starting vim anyway?

I'm not saying you didn't find a bug, but just that saying CVS starts vi
sure sounds like it's normal behavior if no other context is given. =)

After restarting xinetd, I log into another networked machine. After setting

How to use CVS?
I went and d/led some things called

You could do like I did instead of using CVS, I mirrored one of the Cooker
FTP sites and just run a rpm -Uvh every few days.I just did it last
night from a beta1 install and after fixing 60 or so dependency probs I've
got it all working...

The cvs server has migrated to cvs.mandrakesoft.com. The only way to access it
is the ssh method:

export CVS_RSH=ssh

export CVSROOT=:ext:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cooker

Why are you asking this on the cooker list? This is not the CVS list! But
i will help you so that maybe you won't ask again.

I would make a directory called /home/cvs

Add yourself to a group named cvs, and chgrp -R cvs /home/cvs, and chmod
-R ug+rw /home/cvs

Add export CVSROOT=/home/cvs to you ~/.bash_profile, or globally to
/etc/profile. If you are using ssh, also add export CVS_RSH=ssh.

Finally, you are ready to cd /home/cvs and run 'cvs init'

Next you cd to where you sourcedir is located and 'cvs import -m "initial
import blah blah" projectname vendortag releasetag'

After this, cvs co projectname

And cvs update in projectname/ for subsequent updates.

Hope this helps, but really you should read the docs.. because there's
still a lot more to it than that.

[Cooker] cvs-1.10.8-2mdk

2000-07-26 Thread Thierry SAURA

   I have a pserver problem :
cvs checkout toto
cvs server: cannot open /root/.cvsignore: Permission non accordée
cvs [server aborted]: can't chdir(/root): Permission non accordée

# inetd.conf
cvspserver stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/cvspserver cvspserver

'cvs update toto' works well

 any idea ?

Thierry.

did you do a cvs init on the CVSROOT at the beginning ?

Chmouel did you do a cvs init on the CVSROOT at the beginning ?

All was ok before (with the cvs of mandrake 7.0 for example), i solve
my problem with : chmod o+x /root
but it's not a good solution.

[Cooker] CVS

2000-07-22 Thread Thomas SMETS

I'm trying to use CVS ...but it seems that things are not that easy!
I created the following
/home/cvsroot
/home/cvsroot/CVSROOT
with at the moment priviledge rwx for everybody
(as 'su', chmod 777 -Rv /home/cvsroot).
The in /etc/bashrc (everyone uses BASH so it's fine), i put the
following :
snip
CVSROOT=/home/cvsroot
export CVSROOT
/snip

Doing a ci filename
of a file creates the ",v" version in the directory of the file not in
the "${CVSROOT}".

I tried the same with /opt instead of /home but it wasn't succesfull
either ...

Could someone tell me what's wrong ?

Thomas,

Please integrate into cooker if possible.

Thanks!!
