So could be changed to ij like it is in the quick dictionaries Hmm, do you mean the language names? At first I choose this convention because (1) dictd already use it and (2) otherwise rpmlint was complaining all the locale-xy dependency. Would it be possible to solve (2)? Problem is that freedict uses the letter instead of the letters i j to form the letter ij. Which in in itself is not totally incorrect in that you can (and maybe should) store it internally as one letter but that you should expose it to the outside world always as two letters. PS. Not that difficult to solve the problem. It is just a matter of changing into ij. But how do you make an idx.

It would be better to package the perl modules required by perl-Date-Calc and move that package to main. I was planning to delete them after abiword was rebuilt against the new aiksaurus, but I couldn't get abiword/abiword2 compiled with the latest gcc. Now that lyx needs aiksaurus, I guess that this version should stay, because the soname in the library changed. At least abiword-1.0.6 didn't want to compile against aiksaurus-1.0, and I guess the same counts for lyx. Should aiksaurus-1.0 be deleted from contrib, and only be put in (versioned) when abiword2 needs it? I guess that would make the most sense. -- Marcel Pol

But if we're going to have it in, then surely we should build KDE with slp support (and get it working out-the-box)? Ofcourse a specialiased protocol (ipp is printing only?) is more effecient than slp, however slp is designed as a service locater, hence slp ~ service location protocol. In fact it's an integral part of zeroconf/rendezvouz. It's because of SLP that iChat can automaticly discover other iChat's on the local subnet. Lets keep it in main, developers might actually learn about it ;). You probably already know that, and I agree that it sucks to have yet another daemon. I wonder why there is so few gconfd like daemons.
