Ham And Dumplings

1 (2 1/2 pound) piece of cooked ham

8 cups water

3 cups all-purpose baking mix

1 cup milk

Place ham and water in 5 quart slow cooker. Cover; cook on high for 5 to 6
hours. In a bowl, mix baking mix and milk together. Drop by spoonfuls into
slow cooker. Cover; cook on high for 1 hour.

Makes 6 servings.  Mama's Corner.

Walnutty Pancakes

2 cups biscuit baking mix

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon maple-flavored extract

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Maple syrup

Beat biscuit mix, eggs, milk and extract together. Add walnuts. Pour 1/4
cupfuls of batter onto hot greased griddle. Cook until dry around edges.
Turn; cook until golden in color. Serve with maple syrup.

Makes 13 pancakes.  Enjoy.  Mama's Corner.

New England Lamb Bake

2 pounds boneless lamb stew meat, cut into 1/2 inch pieces

1 large onion, chopped

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

5 cups chicken broth

2 large carrots, sliced

2 large leeks, cut into 2 inch pieces

2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley, divided

1 bay leaf

1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

3 large potatoes, peeled and sliced

1/4 cup butter or margarine

In a Dutch oven, brown lamb and onion in oil. Stir in flour; mix well.
Gradually add broth. Bring to a boil, stirring to remove browned bits from
pan. Add carrots, leeks, 1 tablespoon parsley, bay leaf, rosemary, thyme,
salt and pepper. Spoon into a greased 3 quart baking dish. Cover with
potatoes and dot with butter. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2
hours, or until the meat and potatoes are tender. Remove bay leaf. Garnish
with remaining parsley.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.  Mama's Corner.

Bacon Cauliflower Salad Recipe | CDKitchen.com

 

Makes twelve servings.

ready in:  over  5hrs.

 

ingredients

1 head iceberg lettuce
1 sweet onion, thinly sliced rings
1 pound bacon
1/2 head cauliflower
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 cup sugar
salt
black pepper
1 cup mayonnaise

directions

The night before serving, rinse and dry lettuce. Fry, drain and crumble
bacon. Break cauliflower florets into bite-size pieces. 

Layer lettuce, thinly sliced onion rings, crumbled bacon and cauliflower
floret pieces in a bowl. Sprinkle grated cheese, sugar, salt and pepper, to
taste, on top. Spread mayonnaise over all. Cover tightly and refrigerate
overnight. 

Mix well before serving.

don't.  Nuwave dries things out really well but doesn't steam them.  You 
need to use a steamer to thaw frozen soft pretzels unless you plan on 
using them for ammunition in which case you'll probably have caused the 
death of whoever gets hit when you fire.  Nuwave will turn soft pretzel 
into rock.
