[Coworking] Re: Contract terms 6, 12, 18 months?

2016-02-19 Thread Sales CWI
We once signed up a customer with a 18 month commitment and regretted that
decision. This customer did not gel well with our existing members and we
did not have the luxury to fire her and move on. In my experience one month
commitment ensure best behavior of all parties: keeps the operator on his
toes, keeps the customer well mannered and gives the necessary flexibility
to both the customer as well as the operator.

[Coworking] Re: % of revenue beyond rental

2016-02-09 Thread Sales CWI
Now that's an interesting question.

People familiar with WeWork say that their 50% rev is from other than
office rental (One of the reason for crazy valuation)

PS: We dont do anything other than rentals. We have partners whom we
recommend (at least one of these we incubated) as of today to keep our ops
focused and lean.

[Coworking] Re: IT questions for people that run coworking spaces

2016-02-05 Thread Sales CWI
This information is quite helpful. Thanks.

We recently upgraded our connection for 100+ people at www.CoWorkIndia.com
(Bangalore, India) to 250/250 mbps fiber. We also upgraded our
infrastructure to Cat 6 cables & GBPS switches. I am monitoring the
throughput on the gateway and it is usually in the range of 15mbps to 30
mbps for download and less than 5 mbps for upload. Torrents are blocked.

Aaron is right. 95% of headaches come from internal network.
