FWIW, I updated CPANdeps a couple of days ago to point at the new site.

Good point. That'll be quite a transition so will be a good opportunity
to ensure we establish all the right addresses.

I'm hoping that since the "next couple of months" will get us to the QA
Hackathon, then we can see if we're ready to start cutting over to 2.0

Not really, although if you don't do a significant update in the next
couple of months it might be worth updating it.

Will do.

Do you think this is significant enough to increment versions on the nagbot?

Distributions like this are always going to be troublesome, although
I'll look into why it doesn't show up.

I would suggest changing it now that the website is mostly stable.

I found the two templates which were refering to the old site in the
stats site and have change them. Will update to CPAN/git in a bit. The
wiki is likely to be a data issue, so any old versions will still have
the old site referenced, but where appropriate I'll try and fix the
regular pages. Thanks for highlighting this David (W that is ... too

CPAN.pm is patched in the repo and will be fixed in the next release.

I'm releasing an update to CPAN::Reporter now -- it looks like it was just
docs.

Test::Reporter has testers.cpan.org in many places -- should that get fixed
now as well? (Barbie -- you implied maybe not at one point.)

found another bad one .. this is using a hacked CPAN.pm to use correct
url, so it's a different root cause -- i'm assuming the "+" in the

Ah! I just submitted RT #42566 for CPAN.pm
https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=42566

Also, CPAN::Reporter needs a  %s/cpantesters.perl.org/www.cpantesters.org/g

And looks like CPAN::Testers needs it too, plus several other url
updates -- stats, wiki, mailing-list (should mention this list)

if those two don't get acknowledged in this thread, i'll hit RT for
them as well.

I'll set up the symlinks :)

This is one area of CPAN::WWW::Testers I want to change, so that some
distributions that are released with the .pm in the name are
automatically linked to their non .pm name which is used internally.

CPAN::Distribution::reports() prob with CGI.pm

2009-01-19 Thread David Westbrook
I'm getting an error trying to execute CPAN::Distribution::reports()
for the CGI.pm distro.
There is a http://cpantesters.perl.org/show/CGI.yaml, but apparently
not a CGI.pm.yaml, which 404's ...
Should there be a CGI.pm.yaml? There are dist='CGI' and dist='CGI.pm'
rows in the cpanstats.db database.

cpan[1]> reports LDS/CGI.pm-3.42.tar.gz
CPAN: Storable loaded ok (v2.18)
Going to read /kunden/homepages/12/d93966548/htdocs/.cpan/Metadata
  Database was generated on Mon, 19 Jan 2009 21:27:30 GMT
Distribution: L/LD/LDS/CGI.pm-3.42.tar.gz
CPAN: CPAN::DistnameInfo loaded ok (v0.07)
CPAN: LWP loaded ok (v5.820)
CPAN: File::Temp loaded ok (v0.21)
Fetching 'http://cpantesters.perl.org/show/CGI.pm.yaml'...Could not
download 'http://cpantesters.perl.org/show/CGI.pm.yaml': 404

(the context here is that i'm trying to implement the "if at least N
reports" logic for CPAN::Reporter::Smoker::Safer)
