job back on, and promote new builds to staging whenever there is something

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Kepler projects that are missing something that's required for the review

2013-06-06 Thread Andreas Sewe
Hi Wayne,

If your project is on this list, you're missing one of three things:

 * Review documentation;
 * PMC approval of review documentation; or
 * An IP Team-approved IP Log.

The corresponding records for projects that are doing service releases
should already be marked as FIXED and so should not be on this list.

If you believe that your project should not be on this list, let me
know. We juggle a lot of balls with these releases and it's easy to miss
 something.

for of all, thanks for doing all the juggling.

Anyway, I think Code Recommenders should not be on the list. As Bug
408897 [1] states, 1.0.4 is a bugfix release (1.0.0 was
approved/reviewed for Juno) and thus does not require a review (and
hence PMC approval of the review documentation? Not sure about this
one). Also, the IP log has been approved.

Best wishes,

Andreas

In some cases, it may be that I just can't sort out what release you
want to include, or maybe you're planning to include a release that does
not occur on the Kepler release date (which I find weird, but is otherwise
 okay).

If you have not done so already, please visit your project's information

either on this list or via direct email so that I can update the Kepler
 release page.

*I will not accept review documentation for any release that is not

While you're there, please take a few minutes to update the description
and plan information for your release. The description should be a short

that you can still use the old XML-file based plan format if you like using

You can quickly get access to your project's information page directly

The deadline to submit your PMC-approved review materials
to EMO is June 5/2013. Earlier is
fine (better, even). Send me the document, or a link to the
document along with a link to the public approval discussion
with your PMC. Please do not be late. Let me know if you require
assistance.

I was trying to keep up with the PMC mailing lists, but some of the
discussions where a little more involved that simple +1s, so I fell
back on the usual practice of updating the records and scheduling
reviews as the information arrived in my inbox.

HTH,

Wayne

  Hi Wayne
I don't think MDT/OCL should be on the list, so I reviewed the
Bug 406441 dependencies. It appears that the only projects that
satisfy you are ones where you have added the PMC approval
yourself.
All other projects have a problem at the PMC stage. So it seems
that either you or the PMC are failing to complete the approval
by updating Bugzillas in response to the approval grant on the
PMC mailing list.

  Greetings
folks.

I've built a little Bugzilla query that lists the projects that
are missing something that I require for the review.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?v4=Approved%20IP%20Logbug_status=NEWo5=substringn2=1f1=blockedo3=substringv3=Documentationo1=equalsf4=attachments.descriptionv5=pmc_approvedquery_format=advancedf3=keywordso4=equalsf2=OPf5=flagtypes.namev1=406441list_id=5794737

If your project is on this list, you're missing one of three
things:

* Review documentation;
* PMC approval of review documentation; or
* An IP Team-approved IP Log.

The corresponding records for projects that are doing service
releases should already be marked as FIXED and so should not be
on this list.

If you believe that your project should not be on this list, let
me know. We juggle a lot of balls with these releases and it's
easy to miss something.

If you're not on this list, you should be included in the
"upcoming reviews" section of the Projects Gateway page:

http://eclipse.org/projects/

Let me know if you're missing.

If I'm waiting on you to submit your IP Log, or provide me with
PMC-approved review documentation, please provide it ASAP. This
was due today. The review starts tomorrow; if I don't have your
materials in my inbox tomorrow AM, then you miss the review. If
you've submitted your review documentation and your IP Log, but
the IP Log hasn't come back, I'll schedule you for the review
anyway (the review cannot be declared successful until after the
IP Log is approved).

I do not intend to hold a call for this review. If anybody feels
strongly in favour of holding a call, let me know.

If you're having trouble meeting any of the requirements, please
let me know.

My thanks go out to the projects that paid attention and heeded
the deadlines.

I've marked the recommenders bug as fixed; it's off the list.

for of all, thanks for doing all the juggling.

Andreas

Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] RC3 and Final Daze ...

2013-06-06 Thread Eric Gwin
Wayne,

Sorry about the delay. It is coming from EclipseLink. After investigating, it
seems the jar used to be just a compile dependency, so didn't contain the
needful because it was never shipped. That changed recently, and updating to
the Orbit version fell through the cracks. I'm going to make certain we have no
issue running against 1.6.0, and slip that version from Orbit into our release
p2 repo. If that fails I'm going to have to update our jar with appropriate
files, and again regen our release p2 repo.

I hope to have this fixed in the next day or so.

Eric

I looked a little harder and--based on file dates--it's probably coming from
 EclipseLink.

I've broken David's missing abouts file into project responsibilities. In
some cases, a Kepler project is consuming a non-Kepler project's code.
Please connect with the source project's team to address the issue. Note
that the full list of files is in the link provided by David

 Please address this ASAP.

David, can you please plan to re-run the script on Friday?

 EclipseLink or Stardust?
