if people did that, you'd get riots and whatnot worldwide. they're not about
to go and create more chaos...

they're just religious symbols being shot down by ruling masons using some
kind of bizarre electromagnetic waves or something. do some comparisons on
crop circles & runes, mason art, etc..

If they're done by satellites (which I find more plausible than a couple of
geysers with two-by-fours) then the purpose would be to gain ultimate control
of the people. Create a hoax, let the suspense build, then say it's aliens
doing it, and if we don't do as they say, the aliens have threatened to
destroy us in probably more words than that. I imagine that most people
in the world would be gullible enough to believe such a story. Then the real
scientists and intellectuals would become what UFOlogists are now -- that wild
and crazy bunch that can't get a grip on reality.

-Caveat Lector-

I only caught the first half of the show on crop circles but
really liked it! The History Channel has one on UFO's I
believe is tonight. Some of the crop circles were quite
elaborate. I could se two guys with a rope and board making
the plain circles but the more elaborate designs would take
some time and measurements being taken. Anybody have
explanations? Favorite theories?

I saw some "ice rings" on a pond during our recent freeze
and asked a couple of farmers about possible causes and they
seemed to think an underground spring bubbling up warmer
water could cause this. Hhuumm--they were near perfect
circles but I suppose it is possible. Maybe I should ask
them about crop circles. I would need photos to show them
as I doubt they are familiar with this phenomenon.

Usually they trot out a couple of elderly guys or some college students who
say they made all the crop circles.  They must have one heck of a travel
allotment. As the y appear all over the world.

Hey, some of these crop circles are simply too elaborate and detailed for a
couple of old geyzers to go out stomping around the fields with two by fours
and twine. I'm sorry, but I don't believe that all of these circles were done
by old men. I've seen some crop circles that were poorly done and I beleived
them to be hoaxes, but some of these cirlces are simple too beautiful and too
symmetrical to have been done with boards and string. To do these kinds of
circles, men would need aerial surveyors and weeks, if not months of work to
complete some of these designs so perfectly, if they could do it at all.

I used to have this state of mind in which every time I saw something about
the possibility of alien contact and more proof thereof, I thought that "they"
were preparing to spill the beans. I have always been disappointed. I've
always found that these programs never reveal as much as I've already surmised
about the situation, or read elsewhere. These programs are geared toward
people who don't participate in CTRL or other similar mailing lists. The top
priority in most people's minds is the economy, education, health care and
what they're having for supper each night. Unless a space ship drops out of
the sky and lands in their back yard, they aren't going to be too concerned
about it. The government and the media surely wonder why they should rock the
boat during times when the economy is growing and people are making money.

Of course, there are still many who have seen something in the sky, but
they're still too afraid to come out with it for fear of being laughed at by
their friends or colleagues. Luckily the internet is helping to bring these
kinds of people together so they can realize that they're not so strange.
Then again, we often reveal things online that we would never tell our
next-door neighbor, much less our relatives. The unfortunate thing is that
chances are I've probably spilled the beans to people I've talked to
face-to-face--perhaps even some good friends, and I've almost certainly been
read by a friend of one of my friends, and if we connected the dots, we'd
surely find some consensus and bring these topics out of the internet and into
face-to-face conversations.
