Re: [darktable-user] Darktable 3.2.1 hangs while tethering
Have you tried digging in darktable -d all output? Timur. BTW, no dot release was planned in 3.2.x branch as far as I know. To get some meaningful information, I would need a version of darktable compiled with debugging information and having the sources online. As darktable doesn't crash but just hangs, there is no core dump. In the meanwhile I found out, that it does work with entangle, from where I can fetch the darktable film rolls. Maybe things get better with the next dot release. Thanks anyway. darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
Re: [darktable-user] Darktable 3.2.1 hangs while tethering
Hi! Tried with old D5200 (AFAIK, it is the same sensor and motherboard with fewer controls) and it works fine. There are problems with UI which I reported long time ago but it at least it works. Debian stable, 64 bit with OBS repo. Try installing GDB and reproduce your problem. It should generate some debug info in /tmp directory. Starting from terminal could help you locating that file or problems in generating it. I doubt that gdb is the only tool you need for that. Timur. [darktable-user] Darktable 3.2.1 hangs while tethering
Using a Nikon D7100 with an USB cable, darktable 3.2.1 tethering works to display the last shot. But changing to lighttable or darkroom is enough to have it enter something like a very fast endless loop. darktable becomes completely unresponsive, CPU load goes up and there is no way to stop it but using kill. Also, once live view is activated, there is no way leaving it to regain control at the camera. And trying to do so, often ends with darktable hanging (it works, closing darktable before turning off the camera). When taking the shot from darktable, the files are stored on the computer but not on the memory cards, regardless of the preference setting for ''keep original filename''. That, BTW, seems to be a misnomer, as the downloaded files never keep the original name given by the camera. Also, the numbering scheme of the camera is disrupted (my workflow relies on those numbers). As I've never been able to make this work directly with gphoto2, I guess this is not a problem of darktable. darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
