Meaning the bug belongs to the hal package?

Meaning the way multiseat works has changed.

Because at the very least it is a security exposure because passwords
 are broadcast.

I'm not sure multiseat is really supported by Debian.

Thanks for checking upstream bts, and forwarding there.

I'd like to also add another bt receive today; I'm not that familiar

Bug#525903: [tspc] Startup with ifupdown doesn't work for everyone

2009-04-27 Thread Xavier Douville
Package: tspc
Version: 2.1.1-8
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

tspc is started with ifupdown, pppd, etc. There should be a setting in
/etc/default/tspc which when set to false, would disable tspc completely.

It doesn't work well with wpasupplicant in roaming mode:

xav...@ex5620 /u/l/g/bin sudo ifup wlan0
Restarting IPv6 tunnel: tspc
All transports failed, quitting

Error is 2: SOCKET_ERROR
TSP session done
 failed!

because it takes a few seconds to associate with the access point and
get the DHCP lease from the server.

So I would prefer a way to start it manually (or with dhclient-exit-hooks)

The best of the best would be to be able to choose the starting method :

0. off (nerver starts except if /usr/sbin/tspc is called directly)
1. init on startup
2. ifupdown (and/or pppd)
3. dhclient
4. manual only (invoke-rc.d)

The last part is more a wishlist, but I tagged the bug normal since it
also fails to start in some situations.

thanks

Xavier Douville

   Hi!
   I encountered the following problem:
   I run a apache webserver with some https-sites. I use mod_gnutls because
I need ssl with named virtual hosts. mod_gnutls supports SNI.

When setting up the Horde-Framework on my server, Firefox suddenly
asked to save the PHP-Skritp instead of showing a modified page.
this bug is also mentioned at http://issues.outoforder.cc/view.php?id=95

I can confirm that with mod_ssl this bug does not occur.
But accessing the same page with firefox on Windows is no problem.

I downloaded Firefox for Linux from Mozilla.com and it also worked.

   Works: - Apache2+mod_ssl: every browser/os I testet
  - Apache2+mod_gnutls: Windows: every Browser I tested
Linux (Debian(squezze/sid):
 - every not xulrunner-based Browser
 - fresh firefox from Mozilla.com (3.0.9)

   Does not work:
   - Apache2+mod_gnutls: Linux (Debian squezze/sid):
 - every xulrunner-based Browser I tested
   (iceweasel, epiphany-gecko, galeon)

To rule that out, can you try with a newer libnss3-1d package (from
  unstable)?

additionally the firefox I downloaded from mozilla also stopped
 working. strange

Then I'm relieved. Because there's really no change in debian that would
explain such a difference. Would you mind sending a bug report on
bugzilla.mozilla.org?

Cheers,

 The glxgears column is meaningless.

May I quote Gunter Ohrne: glxgear which is no meaningful benchmark, I
know, but it's a tendency
indicator nontheless

I benchmarked the 2D performance using gtkperf and render_bench[1] again
(KMS is disabled in all four cases, since I can't get the X running,it
just hangs
and doesn't respond to any keyboard input,I can not use ssh to connect to
it from another host)
which gives me the following result:

--
 gtkperf render_bench
Kernel-2.6.29/exa 14.03 36.52
kernel-2.6.29/uxa 14.9 36.04
kernel-2.6.30-rc3/exa16.136.18
kernel-2.6.30-rc3/uxa13.32 35.39
---

gtkperf runs for five times and the result is total average render time.
render_bench just runs once in each case,I simply add the total time .

No wonder kernel-2.6.30-rc3/uxa is the fastest combination both with gtkperf
and render_bench.

gtkperf shows that performace in kernel-2.6.30-rc3/exa is even worse
than in Kernel-2.6.29/exa

Maybe the benchmark I did has flaws and meaningless, but the performace really
improve with kernel-2.6.30/uxa from my feeling with running some
applications.

with kernel-2.6.29 suspend and wake will crash the X,while with
kernel-2.6.30rc3
it works again. So I am anxious for the release of kernel-2.6.30

 My preliminary review of

  * spurious configure target, please remove it.

done in 1.3-3

  * build-target could be improved, e.g. by placing both variants in
different make targets. also consider a VPATH build.

there is build-gtk, built-nongtk and build-doc target in 1.3-3

  * clean rules unpatches before running clean. This will break if you
had modifications to the clean parts of the build system. You don't
do that here, but I'm mentioning it just in case.

I didn't change this, since I'll ask upstream to fix problems in the
clean parts of the build system. The lua change is just needed
because it's debian specific.

In general, run the tool `devscripts -r .` in the top level root
directory to get a brief license check. AFAIUI this is the tool
ftpmaster uses to examine NEW packages.

uhm where do I get devscripts? The devscripts package does not
contain it!

I fear debian/copyright needs to mention all this. Are there other
 opinions on that from mentors?

I've updated debian/copyright with all licenses I found.

fwiw, i don't really have a problem with expanding the glob to include
these files, but at the same time it's not too hard to invoke $EDITOR
on the cronjob, and even adding this feature won't solve all the
maxlifetime-related problems (even doing any kind of gc is problematic
with some apps who want to handle it themselves).

also, i'm not sure how this would complicate things with the upcoming
change in extension file layout stuff, so it's probably worth keeping it
tabled at least until then.

i guess in an ideal world there would be a way to invoke a php cmdline call
for eache sapi config and just have it run ?php echo ini_get(foo); ?, but
unfortunately i think that the ini/conf.d is hardcoded at compile time for
each sapi.

functionality to Internet Explorer. To use, web developers only need to include

A simple ps aux call spams the kernel log with one deny message per
ssh process.

The ptrace check is used by the kernel to determine if the caller is
allowed to read critical things within /proc/$pid.

IMHO, any .NET projects which care about Mono uses mcs or gmcs, so
/usr/bin/csc is unnecessary. On the other hand, Chicken compiler is
  csc. It just is.

Hi, Mono developers agreed to rename their compiler, so we should just
wait until they fix it, hopefully it won't be a long time.

It's not that simple as about 100 source packages rely on the csc
command provided by the mono-devel package.

We are planning to make another transition along with new -dev packages
that will need build-dependency changes too. It took about 4 months to
get the last transition done, so this is doable as release goal for
squeeze.

Bug#525206: ITP: gtksourcecompletion -- Add (auto)completion and calltips to GtkSourceView

 Hi Marc,

Currently GtkSourceView team is working on insert this library into it.
I think we must wait for the GtkSourceView integration (Gnome 2.28 IMO).

Therefor the new GtkSourceCompletion hosting is in:

 http://github.com/chuchiperriman/gtksourcecompletion

And there is a new release, the 0.7.0. Vtg is using this version and the
new release of vtg depends on Gsc 0.7.0. The new version of vtg will be
 released this week.

Thanks for those informations. I was indeed discovering the vtg
dependencies while packaging it.
So we should wait until gsc is merge in gsv? And then there will be a
vtg release. Is that correct?

Inthat case, we should close this bug I guess.

Bug#441950: mutt wish: send_charset default us-ascii:utf-8

2009-04-27 Thread Riku Voipio
Hi,

The arguments against utf-8 are ridiculous in this buglog.
for example the claim that utf-8 on mail causes problems
for some rare configurations:

looking at a random non-debian mailing list:

 grep charset qemu|grep -ci us-ascii
2733
 grep charset qemu|grep -ci ISO-8859-1
4098
 grep charset qemu|grep -ci utf-8
4471

Well, welcome to 2009 mr rare configuration, there is a big percentage
of messages you can't read. Particularry you will have problems reading
any mails from thunderbird and gmail users, it seems.

Furthermore defaults must be engineered for newbies. Newbies don't have
emotional attachment to legacy charsets (or even know what a charset is).
They just want to things to work, and if everything were utf-8, things
would work better.

A practical example would be a newbie doing a copy-paste from a thunderbird
raw message view to another application.

Us old farts OTOH know perfectly well howto change back sending legacy
charsets if we feel like that.

Bug#525910: cups fails to print with 400 Bad Request -- ServerName, ServerAlias

2009-04-27 Thread Wouter Van Hemel
Package: cups
Version: 1.3.10-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I've been getting 400 Bad Request errors on CUPS clients and in the CUPS log
file (after enabling debug-level logging).

I think the problem is this:

cupsdNetIFUpdate: eth0 = hostname.domainname.local:631

Given an entry of...

192.168.196.7 hostname.domainname.local hostname

and a cupsd.conf ServerName of...

ServerName hostname
Listen 631

CUPS ties to 192.168.196.7 and hostname hostname.domainname.local,
subsequently refusing non-FQDN hostname in Host: headers.

I think this must have popped up in the most recent update. I also think that
it's a bug. If ServerName is hostname (and this address resolves), CUPS
should accept print jobs with that Host: header and not expect the FQDN
hostname (which is usually made-up on local subnets anyway). It is absurd for
CUPS not to accept print jobs to its own ServerName.

Setting ServerAlias * gets CUPS printing again (presumably because it now
accepts the mere hostname); so does removing hostname.domainname.local from
/etc/hosts and just using the hostname without domainname.

In short, CUPS shouldn't require the FQDN to be used, especially if the
ServerName is the non-FQDN; or it should perhaps create an automatic alias with
both the FQDN and non-FQDN variant.

Thanks for your time,

  Wouter

The basic idea is that we want to make sure that either there's no IPv6
at all, or IPv6 works fine. This is important, since it's easy to write
software that detects and works around the lack of IPv6, but it's next
to impossible to write software that will reliably detect broken IPv6.

By preferring IPv6 to IPv4, we make sure that broken IPv6 is something
that people notice, and hence we have a good chance that there won't be
to many broken IPv6 deployments. If IPv4 were preferred to IPv6, then
people could add RAs to their network even though their IPv6 routing is
broken -- most clients wouldn't notice, they'd just continue using IPv4.

Now your particular deployment of IPv6 doesn't fit the ``IPv6 at least
as good as IPv4'' model that we are promoting; hence, you need to hack
your gai.conf files. Which is fine -- what you do on your private
network is your private business. What is not okay is suggesting that
Debian change the default, and break a deployment model that the
networking community has agreed on -- if you don't agree with a stan-
dard, you work on getting it revised, you don't just change your
distribution unilaterally.

By the way, this is a somewhat unsatisfactory solution: manually hacking
/etc/gai.conf doesn't scale. The networking community is aware of that,
and are working on a solution -- see RFC 5220 and 5221.

Bug#525914: oprofile doesn't like Nehalem

2009-04-27 Thread Bob Gilligan
Package: oprofile

Severity: important

When run on a Xeon Nehalem platform, oprofile reports:

cpu_type 'unset' is not valid
you should upgrade oprofile or force the use of timer mode

This makes it impossible to use oprofile effectively on a Nehalem system.

The same problem is reported against Red Hat in:

There, it is reported that oprofile version 0.9.4 includes the necessary

Bug#525915: libglib2.0-0: please support a --disable-visibility flavour

2009-04-27 Thread Jonny Lamb
Package: libglib2.0-0
Version: 2.20.1-1
Severity: wishlist

refdbg[0] fails to work with the library in libglib2.0-0 as it was
built with --enable-visibility. This is clearly what GLib apps should
be using, but it would be cool if another refdbg-specific package was
made available which was built with --disable-visibility.

I asked about this on #gnome-debian:

21:18 jonnylamb So, refdbg is rather annoying to use because you
have to build your own glib. Might the glib maintainers consider
building glib twice: once with --disable-visibility so it can be used
with refdbg with the help of LD_PRELOAD?
21:23 @Np237 jonnylamb: that requires a new flavor and a new binary
package
21:23 jonnylamb Yes.
21:24 @Np237 feasible, but it would be nice if you could provide a
patch
21:24 @Np237 as you seem better suited to be able to test it
21:24 jonnylamb Right. I'm willing to write a patch if there's a
possibility of it getting accepted.
21:25 @Np237 if it’s just a new flavor that ships files in a special
directory for LD_PRELOAD, in a special package, I’m fine with that
21:26 @Np237 that could even be used as a dependency for a refdbg
package which would use it automatically
21:26 jonnylamb Right. Just what I had in mind.
21:27 @Np237 you can ask lool or slomo to see if they have any
objections, but I doubt that
21:27 jonnylamb lool: ^

I'm working on a patch.

Bug#525919: O: autotrace -- bitmap to vector graphics converter

2009-04-27 Thread Henning Makholm
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I am orphaning the autotrace package.

The package description is:
AutoTrace is a program for converting bitmaps to vector graphics. The aim
of the AutoTrace project is the development of a freely-available
application similar to CorelTrace or Adobe Streamline. In some aspects it
is already better. Originally created as a plugin for the GIMP,
AutoTrace is now a standalone program.
 .
 Home Page: http://autotrace.sourceforge.net/

When I adopted the package in 2003, it was a build-dependency of
lilypond, and this was the sole reason why it wasn't simply dropped
from the archive. The lilypond dependency does not exist anymore, and
upstream development appears to have been stalled since 2002. Perhaps
autotrace should be let go rather than adopted.

 Tagging the bug as wontfix.

Aurélien,

You've tagged this bug as ``wontfix'' after I renamed it to

  gai.conf difficult to find

While I fully agree with you that the current default should remain,
I still think we should point users at gai.conf in a more visible
manner.

Do I have your permission to un-wontfix this bug?

Bug#525920: O: xcftools -- command-line tools for extracting data for XCF files

2009-04-27 Thread Henning Makholm
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I am orphaning the xcftools package, due to lack of time on my part.
I'm the upstream author of xcftools, but no development has happened
since 2006. The program already does what it is supposed to and has no
known bugs.

Package description:

This is a set of fast command-line tools for extracting information
from the Gimp's native file format XCF.
The tools are designed to allow efficient use of layered XCF files as
sources in a build system that use 'make' and similar tools to manage
 automatic processing of the graphics.
These tools work independently of the Gimp engine and do not require
the Gimp to even be installed.

xcf2pnm converts XCF files to ppm, pgm or pbm format, flattening
 layers if necessary.
If the image contains transparency, an alpha map can be written to a
separate file, or a background color can be specified on the command
 line.

xcf2png converts XCF files to PNG format, flattening layers if
 necessary.
Transparency information can be kept in the image, or a background
color can be specified on the command line.

xcfinfo lists information about layers in an XCF file.

xcfview is a wrapper script that flattens an XCF image and displays
it using an external PNG/PPM viewer.
To use this script, you must make sure also to install an appropriate
external viewer, as well as the mime-support package which provides the
 mailcap database.

The tools can either flatten an XCF file as given, or extract
specific layers named on the command line.

Bug#525669: Font rendering in Qt 4.5

2009-04-27 Thread Gunter Ohrner
Hi!

Thanks for your quick response!

Am Sonntag, 26. April 2009 schrieb Fathi Boudra:

Yes, thanks. I had a look into QTs changelog before posting, but could not
pinpoint the change which caused the change.

It doesn't really matter anyway, as the web link you posted and the
original page I mentioned in my bug report show solutions which solve the
display problem.

It took some time to google the solution, however, and I guess many users
- not knowing anything about libfontconfig or even its existence - will
not be able to use the information on these pages at all.

That's why I suggested to add an explanation and some easily activatable
config file snipped to the QT package's docs, and maybe already install an
appropriate file in /etc/fonts/conf.avail/ with an explanation in the
README of how to link it to conf.d.

I'd even vote for this configuration to be default, as I wrote, but I
understand that there might be people who actually prefer the
significantly more blurred non-legacy font rendering. (Though I wonder
why, as I do not see the point in smoothing exactly vertical or
horizontal lines which will never look yagged by definition...)

Greetings,

  Gunter

Posting did work in the past. I haven't kept track of client and gn

Bug#525931: xfce4-quicklauncher-plugin in french while reset of xfce4 in english

2009-04-27 Thread Christopher David Desjardins

Package: xfce4-quicklauncher-plugin
Version: 1.9.4-2

When I open Quicklauncher by right clicking on the panel and clicking
Properties, the properties menu is in French. This should not happen
as the rest of xfce4 is in English. Also, I have not played with any
locales and the properties menu should be in English.

Thanks!

Bug#525927: options to set ownership/permissions of serial sockets

2009-04-27 Thread martin f krafft
Package: libvirt-bin
Version: 0.6.2-2
Severity: wishlist
Tags: upstream

Please let me set in the xml file the uid:gid of the user to own
a serial socket created by libvirtd for a kvm instance, and also the
permissions. Forcing the permissions with umask to 777 and putting
the socket in a 700:user:group directory works, but it's ugly and
cumbersome.

Since a few days Ekiga fails to start yielding a segfault. Since ekiga
uses gconf instead of config files I am not able to check if there is a
 problem with my account.

ekiga version 3.2 will hopefully be uploaded to unstable in one week. It
fixes some crashes and bugs. Version 2 is not maintained anymore.

Are there already some packages or source files for building them on my
own? I’d like to test the upload as soon as possible and don’t like to
rely on Skype.

Bug#480056: same symptoms here, caused by misbehaving pam plugin

 Hi,

thanks for maintaining GDM. I got similar symptoms, i.e. gdm crashing on
first login attempt with signal 6 and then being slow but working. I
tracked this down to the pam_authenticate call in daemon/verify-pam.c.
For me, this was likely caused by libpam-thinkfinger (i.e. removing and
reinstalling turned the crshing off and on, also, judging by the
bug-reports, it seems to be crash-happy) after a kernel update to
 Debian's linux 2.6.29(?).
Just a thought, apologies for the noise.

I haven't seen this problem in a while.

Bug#525932: apt-cacher statistics-report broken

2009-04-27 Thread Andreas Schreiner

Package: apt-cacher
Version: 1.6.4

The report feature in Lenny's apt-cacher package is broken. The reason
is that the log format has changed some time in the past and
apt-cacher-report.pl does not recognize this.

There is a blog post at
http://v2kblog.blogspot.com/2009/03/fixing-apt-cache-reportpl.html
that explains this and offers a fix as well. I have tested the fix and
reporting is now working again. Please fix the apt-cacher package to
make this work again in Debian.

The system in use here is Debian 5.0 Lenny on PPC architecture

Now that Debian 5.0 has been updated, and that the kernel is
linux-image-2.6.26-2-686, Debian Live won't boot in GUI mode (X.org) on the
very same Hewlett Packard (HP) DC7100 machine.
Debian Live starts in command-line mode, then attempts to start X. The
screen goes blank for about five seconds, then it comes back to command-line
 mode.

Note that is bug is about linux-image-2.6.26-2-686 but it is similar to
Debian Bug 525482: same problem on the same hardware.

I have included below output from lspci, lshw, as well as the contents of
 /var/log/Xorg.log

please send the Xorg log from the working case. This doesn't sound like
a kernel problem...

Bug#484211: Maybe rrdtool ticket #163 is not completly fixed?

2009-04-27 Thread Sven Hoexter
Digging a little bit deeper this looks like #163 in the rrdtool Trac
http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool-trac/ticket/163

According to the svn changelog there are some more fixes in rrd_graph so this
could eventually be already fixed. Would be helpfull if someone ;) would
package a recent svn snapshot to test it.

Bug#525935: FTBFS because librefblas3-dev does not exist

2009-04-27 Thread Jose Ramon Alvarez Sanchez
Package: scilab
Version: 5.1.1-2

Scilab 5.1.1-2 fails to build from source in all architectures
except i386 (uploaded).

debian/control file says scilab 5.1.1-2 build depend on:
 # numerical libraries
  librefblas3-dev | libblas-dev | atlas3-base-dev, liblapack-dev,

but for example, build log for amd64
https://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=scilab;ver=5.1.1-2;arch=amd64;stamp=1240714985
says: E: Couldn't find package librefblas3-dev

I could not find package librefblas3-dev in any distribution.
refblas3-dev and atlas3-base-dev do exist only in etch (oldstable),
but libblas-dev does exist in squeeze and sid.

Does build system support alternatives in build-depends?
It seems to stop after the first miss in the 3 alternatives, even when
the second one exists.

In architectures hppa and mips there are also other specific problems
in build-depends (java related). In any case, probably build-depends
must be cleaned and updated.

Best regards,
Jose R.

 Yes I did.

Well it certainly worked with 2.6.26 and 2.6.29 for me today. I wonder
what is going on.

Which version of debhelper do you have installed?

Hmm, why are we passing -v to dh_gencontrol. That's supposed to be -v
with a version appended, but $(VERSION) is never set by the looks of it.

Why is this working at all...?

Oh it seems, modules assistant is setting VERSION, and making things
work somehow. Interesting.

No it doesn't. It works fine with module-assistant.

 and no nvidia-kernel-legacy-173xx-2.6.29_173.14.18-1*_i386.deb is built.
 This happens for linux-source-2.6.29 2.6.29-2 and 2.6.29-3.

Well I guess I really should go work on the kdist support again.
It works with linux-modules-* and module-assistant. It just doesn't
work with make-kpkg. Why do we have so many ways to build modules anyhow.

RefDbg is a GObject reference count debugger. GObject is part of the

GObject library adds object oriented stuff to C which by itself lacks

Bug#525206: ITP: gtksourcecompletion -- Add (auto)completion and calltips to GtkSourceView

Hi,

I think the gtksourcecompletion integration into gtksourceview will be
available on 2.28 but I don't know (gsv is working hard on it). How you
want, if you want to wait 6 month, nice, if not, the correct version is
0.7.0 with the last vtg release (If it has not been released, in a few
days Andrea will do)

Thanks Marc!

Currently GtkSourceView team is working on insert this library into it.
I think we must wait for the GtkSourceView integration (Gnome 2.28 IMO).

Therefor the new GtkSourceCompletion hosting is in:

  http://github.com/chuchiperriman/gtksourcecompletion

And there is a new release, the 0.7.0. Vtg is using this version and the
new release of vtg depends on Gsc 0.7.0. The new version of vtg will be
  released this week.

Thanks for those informations. I was indeed discovering the vtg
 dependencies while packaging it.
So we should wait until gsc is merge in gsv? And then there will be a
 vtg release. Is that correct?

Inthat case, we should close this bug I guess.

Bug#525775: Fix committed

2009-04-27 Thread Jo Shields
tags 525775 pending
thanks

We've taken a look, and decided we still want to package only one
renderer (multiple renderers means multiple dependencies means suck).
However, you're right about the GtkHtml renderer being crap, as
evidenced by http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26021137/monodoc.png

As a result, we've decided to switch from GtkHtml-only to WebKit-only.
Testing doesn't show any obvious regressions compared to GtkHtml.
Mono.WebBrowser seems enormously unstable (I was able to lock up
monodoc-browser multiple times), and we want to avoid Gecko# given the
trouble an ABI/API change caused us LAST time the Gecko folks did
something exciting (hence Gecko# has been removed from Debian).

A simple fix has been submitted to Debian Mono Group SVN, and will form
part of the next package upload, whenever that may be.

Bug#525939: python-sqlalchemy: reflection of tables in remote mssql fails

2009-04-27 Thread Geoff Crompton
Package: python-sqlalchemy
Version: 0.5.3-1
Severity: normal

When trying to autoload a table on a remote mssql server, sqlalchemy
crashes.
This may be related to http://www.sqlalchemy.org/trac/ticket/1312.

I have tried this on a lenny box with the sqlalchemy 0.5.2 backport, and it
does not have the problem.

My script to demonstrate the problem:

#!/usr/bin/python

# Demonstrates the exeption thrown by sqlalchemy 5.3, but not 5.2, on my
# debian systems

def main():
a = get_create_eng_args()

meta = sqlalchemy.MetaData()
meta.bind = engine

Bug#525915: Patch

2009-04-27 Thread Jonny Lamb
tags 525915 + patch
kthxbye

So, I've attached an initial patch to add this package. The patch adds
the following lintian error:

E: libglib2.0-0-refdbg: unstripped-binary-or-object
./usr/lib/refdbg/libgobject-2.0.so.0.2000.1

I guess we should override it, right?

The other thing I'm not sure about is the package name. Perhaps it
shouldn't be tied to refdbg so much, and be called visibility, or
something like that?

refdbg 0.12 out of the box with the addition of
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/refdbg:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH works fine with
this package. I've ITPd refdbg in #525937.

Comments?

Bug#525938: iceweasel: AdBlock Plus (1.0.2) custom element hiding filters does not work

2009-04-27 Thread Alan Wright
Package: iceweasel
Version: 3.0.9-1
Severity: normal

After writing a custom element hiding filter or using the AdBlock Plus:
Element Hiding Helper (1.0.5) to help create one, Iceweasel does not apply the
custom filters and so do not work. The filter subscribtions do work though.

This was tested with a clean set of preferences/add-ons etc.

In binary builds of Firefox (3.0.9 and 3.6a1 nightly) the custom element
hiding filters do work.

Bug#525940: dolphin: Problem copying files/directories to remote computer using fish:/

2009-04-27 Thread Andres Mejia
Package: dolphin
Version: 4:4.2.2-1
Severity: normal

There is some problem with copying files or directories to a remote computer
using fish:/. When you go to your home directory on the remote computer using
fish://u...@remote-server and then try to paste whatever file or directory you
had clicked on to copy, an error message pops up stating Could not {create
folder,copy file} to fish://u...@remote-server/{directory,file}.

It should be attempting to copy to
fish://u...@remote-server/$HOME/{directory,file}. This continues for any file or
directory. It's not until I go to some other directory, and then go back, that
copying works without an issue.

This problem also occurs with konqueror. I wasn't sure which package to file
against however.

Bug#428257: Should be closed ?

It seems, according to the first messages and the submitter himself,

I think instead that --query-bts should override 'offline' in

doing (for example: 90% of the times he wants 'offline', 10% he uses
that option on the cli to query the bts).

So I think it's still a valid request.
