Bug#537108: Broken mnemonics on some dialog buttons

2009-07-14 Thread Matt Kraai
Package: gnucash
Version: 2.2.6-3
Severity: minor

Howdy,

If I fill out the fields of a transaction in Gnucash and try to close
the register before pressing Enter, Gnucash displays a dialog asking
whether to discard the transaction, cancel, or save the transaction.
The mnemonics on the "Discard Transaction" and "Save Transaction"
buttons are broken, however. They contain the text "_Discard
Transaction" and "_Save Transaction", respectively, and pressing Alt+D
or Alt+S does nothing.

Yes, it's a dreadful bug, I apologise for the inconvenience.
It has been fixed in the next version 1:2.7.5pre1-4, available in
testing, http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/zangband

Can you try that version and let us know if it works? I'm not sure if
the package dependencies have shifted enough between lenny and squeeze
to break an installation from the package in squeeze. But as far as I
can see it should be fine.

Bug#523923: Now with unit tests

Unit tests have been added in this version of the script, run with
"run-rsnapshot selftest".

Otherwise works like before, run hourly or so from (ana)cron without
any parameters and rsnapshot will be called with the correct

Bug#535027: dovecot-common does not rotate logs

2009-07-14 Thread Joel Johnson
The default for the debian package is to use syslog and not a separate
file. In this configuration, log rotations are done by the daily syslog
cron job.

However, the administrator can certainly configure logging to a file
instead, but if you consult the dovecot documentation/wiki on how to setup
logging to a file (http://wiki.dovecot.org/Logging), then one would suppose
the sample logrotate script provided on the same page would be sufficient.

Unless there's objective, I propose closing this since it isn't an issue
with the package.

It seems that Tesseract 3.0 uses a different language format (one file per

Bug#537109: dhcp: interface not limited to eth0 by default as intended

2009-07-14 Thread Del W.
Package: dhcp
Version: 2.0pl5dfsg1-20
Severity: important

In the script /etc/init.d/dhcp the is an assignment: INTERFACES="eth0"
Later, this variable is used on the --exec line to start dhcpd on only the
interfaces specified in the variable $INTERFACES.
The problem is that INTERFACES acts as a reserved word, and usually returns
blank.
Changing the variable name to INTERFACEZ fixed the problem, and all worked as
expected.

This is a JIT issue, so it only affects 3.5 on x86, arm and sparc. Not
on amd64 and other architectures.

Awaiting for 3.5.1, jit can be disabled with the
javascript.options.jit.content configuration in about:config.

Is there any news on this? I guess it may break quite a lot of laptops
using quirks and not KMS.

Maybe, at least for now, a good idea would be to check
if /sys/module/i915/parameters/modeset is 1.

Bug#536663: gnome-terminal: crashes on startup

2009-07-14 Thread Greg Kochanski
It returns "Default".

But it is now working properly, for no obvious reason.
The computer was upgraded again and rebooted in the last few days,
but I had switched away from gnome to xfce4 and so I cannot connect
the recovery with any particular action.Somewhere in there
(although I'm a bit hazy on the timing) was an interrupted
aptitude safe-upgrade.I got a request to do a "dpkg ??? -a"
command.

So, quite possibly, the bug report was sent at a point where
gnome-terminal was upgraded but its configuration info was not,
or vice-versa.

If so, it's not an "important" bug, but rather a "minor" bug,
and the bug report should change to complain about the error
message.(The error message should be informative and help
the user understand the problem.Assertion failures are
generally not good error messages.)

Never! We provide the official packages, he provides the incompatible
