yup, but currently running now, it works! debian archive doesn't use old
 script now and using archvsync

What is the error message you've got with ftpsync ?

 i forgot declare RSYNC_HOST, hehehe.
still waiting for final result. but i believe this script can show good

I'm extremely pleased to inform that mirror.unej.ac.id use archvsync,
add more architecture. you can check at here [1]. we add various arch
like arm, hhpa, mips, powerpc, sparc, and hurd-i386

Could you please set MIRRORNAME to mirror.unej.ac.id in ftpsync conf

Make sure you can afford the archive growth and have the relevant disk
space.
Indeed, it happens mirror admin drop arch afterwards because of disk
capacity, and we want to ensure service continuity.

Thanks for mirroring Debian and best regards.

Following my lecturer comment at forum, he says to me

okay, give me one day to use official rsync script

Strange, it seems you don't use the last one, though the links below
provide the right expected version :
 - as a tarball from http://ftp-master.debian.org/ftpsync.tar.gz
 - as a git repository:
   git clone https://ftp-master.debian.org/git/archvsync.git

Can you check that please ?

  Archive-upstream: ftp.osuosl.org
Did you try some (maybe closer and faster) mirrors like ftp.jp or ftp.tw ?
previously we use mirror.averse.net but our bandwidth can use 90% (up to
  9MBps) to ftp.osuosl.org

okay we discuss again, maybe we use ftp.jp, ftp.tw or ftp.kr.
  (ftp.kaist.ac.kr)

Ok, tell us which is the better for you.

 i choose ftp.tw.debian.org and/or ftp.kr.debian.org. both server is so
 fast from here

Seems you have choosen ftp.tw.debian.org, ok.

Thanks, your mirror will be added soon to the list of Debian mirrors.

anonftpsync is not a supported script anymore as said previously.

What is the error message you've got with ftpsync ?

You just need to customize the etc/ftpsync.conf.sample to suit your
needs.

Could you please use ftpsync :
  http://lists.debian.org/debian-mirrors-announce/2008/11/msg1.html

my friend at kambing.ui.edu make solution rsync mirror called sedot:
 https://launchpad.net/sedot

basically same as official script but this script have report output
 (web and log file)
 http://mirror.unej.ac.id/status/

According to
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~fajran/sedot/trunk/annotate/head%3A/bin/get.rsync.debian
be carefull to not use it in a push context.

For example :
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~fajran/sedot/trunk/annotate/head%3A/pkgs/debian/rsync.exclude
this exclude list is not complete for a given arch, but :
EXCLUDE=${EXCLUDE} --exclude binary-${ARCH}/ --exclude disks-${ARCH}/
--exclude installer-${ARCH}/ --exclude Contents-${ARCH}.gz --exclude
Contents-${ARCH}.bz2 --exclude Contents-${ARCH}.diff/ --exclude
arch-${ARCH}.files --exclude arch-${ARCH}.list.gz --exclude *_${ARCH}.deb
--exclude *_${ARCH}.udeb

Concerning rsync options, ftpsync options are :
#RSYNC_OPTIONS=-rltvHSB8192 --timeout 3600 --stats --exclude
Archive-Update-in-Progress-${MIRRORNAME} --exclude ${TRACE} --exclude
Archive-Update-Required-${MIRRORNAME}

## Options the first pass gets. We do not want the Packages/Source indices
## here, and we also do not want to delete any files yet.
#RSYNC_OPTIONS1=--exclude Packages* --exclude Sources* --exclude Release*
--exclude ls-lR*

## Options the second pass gets. Now we want the Packages/Source indices too
## and we also want to delete files. We also want to delete files that are
## excluded.
#RSYNC_OPTIONS2=--max-delete=4 --delay-updates --delete --delete-after
--delete-excluded

That would be great that sedot just uses ftpsync as a plugin.
Indeed, rsync options and excluding lists evolve with the structure of the
archive itself.

Basically, there is a risk such software keeps used while it is not in sync
with the reality of the distribution.

So please take care to backport to sedot the options and error management we
add in ftpsync.

  Archive-upstream: ftp.osuosl.org
