In una parola? SI. certo ci sono molti pacchetti parzialmente tradotti o non tradotti affatto, ma il sistema (o meglio gnome) dovrebbe essere tradotto (credo) ad un valore molto vicino al 100 %. Stesso discorso dovrebbe valere per kde e credo xfce. Se invece intendi avere tutti gli applicativi possibili e immaginabili in italiano... credo proprio che il sole diventerà una supernova prima (e il sole non mi pare diventerà mai una supernova) notte G.
