Hola llista. Tinc una pregunta per a vosaltres. Esper que algú em puga dir alguna cosa u orientar-me una mica. Es pot fer una instal·lació de la nova versió de debian neta amb els paquets de la vella? Es a dir. Puc fer algun script amb el llistat dels paquets que tinc ara mateix instal·lats al Lenny per quan instal·le la squeeze no tindre que anar marcant-los d'un en un al synaptic o picant-los al apt-get ... Per posar-vos un poc en situació. La idea es baixar-me els DVD's i formatetjar la particio on ara esta la Lenny instal·lar desde el dvd la squeeze i anar ficant els altres DVD's si mels demana per instal·lar els paquets fins tindre la squeeze amb el mateix carregament de paquets que tenia la Lenny. Això es tot. Gràcies. :)

Jo crec que la manera més neta de tenir la llista de paquets és fer un
«deborphan --all». Si coneixes deborphan, serveix per saber els paquets que
tens orfes de dependències. Sense cap opció, serveix per saber quines
biblioteques pots eliminar perquè en el seu moment se't van instal·lar per
complir dependències i ara ja no les necessites. Això ja et convé fer-ho ara
maetix abans d'instal·lar la màquina nova.
Però si li passes l'opció --all, et llista tots els paquets que has instal·lat
tu, sense que sigui complir cap altra dependència, és a dir, que els has
instal·lat, si em permets l'expressió, perquè «t'ha donat la gana» o has
escollit explícitament. L'opció del Lluís (dpkg --get-selections) trobo que és
bona si estas a la mateixa versió de Debian, però si canvies et donarà errors,
perquè les dependències de les biblioteques dependran de versions que ja no
estan a Squeeze. A més, la llista és molt més petita. En la meva màquina
actual, p. ex., comparar les dues llistes és aquesta:
$ dpkg --get-selections | wc -l
1637
$ deborphan --all | wc -l
281
Aquesta segona llista t'arrossegarà les dependències que et fa faltaran perquè
el sistema funcioni, que de ben segur seran unes altres que les de Lenny. De
tota manera, la segona part sí que és bona (dpkg --set-selections). Aleshores,
combinant el que t'ha proposat el Lluís amb el que et proposo jo, seria:
A la màquina Lenny:
$ deborphan --all | awk '{ print $2 }' els-meus-paquets

Bonjour Je me suis abonné à Giganews pour profiter du VyprVPN service ainsi que de l'OpenVPN. J'ai réussi à configuré le VyprVPN en mode graphique avec gnome network manager. Quelqu'un sait où je pourrais trouver une doc pour faire les configs vpn et openvpn mais en mode console? ActiveSync de stockage local
Bonjour, Sur mon téléphone Androïd, je peux me connecter à un serveur Exchange via ActiveSync. J'imagine donc que c'est également possible sous Debian ? Auriez-vous des expériences en la matière ? En complément, en plus de l'accès au serveur, est-il possible de stocker localement les messages ? Au cas où ma question ne serait pas très compréhensible ;-), je peux envoyer/voir mes messages via un accès Web par exemple (en plus d'ActiveSync), mais ça ne me permet pas de stocker ces messages sur mon ordinateur... transcodage flux video avec vlc
Bonjour à tous, Y-a-t-il ici un ou des habitués de 'vlc' ? Je souhaiterais récupérer un fichier video depuis un DVD, afin de pouvoir le jouer sur ma télé, via un dispositif qui me permet de recevoir la TNT, enregistrer et rejouer les enregistrements ou autres videos. Pour les autres videos, la seule option est le disque dur externe (pas de possibilité avec un DVD). Si je fais une copie directe d'un des fichiers du DVD sur le disque dur externe, çà fonctionne bien avec ledit dispositif TV/TNT... MAIS SANS LE SON ! Pourtant, un voisin m'a passé un fichier .avi qui, une fois copié tel quel, fonctionne ici, avec le son, sans problème. Alors, avec l'aide de 'vlc', j'ai essayé de trouver quels étaient les paramètres de chacun des fichiers, ceux qui fonctionnent et les autres, afin d'essayer de réencoder ceux que je veux pouvoir interpréter avec le dispositif TNT/TV. Et ce, sans succès jusqu'ici. Le fichier avi qui m'a été donné et qui fonctionne bien avec mon dispositif TV/TNT, montre, sous vlc, les paramètres suivants: Flux 0 video Codec: MPEG-4 Video (DX50) - Résolution 512x288 - débit images 25 Flux 1 audio Codec MPEG audio layer 1/2/3 (mpga) - canaux stéréo - Fréquence d'échantillonnage 48000 Hz - Débit 128 Kb/s Quand à celui des fichiers videos du DVD qui, une fois copié sur le disque dur, s'interprète bien (mais sans le son) avec mon dispositif TV/TNT, il montre, avec 'vlc', les caractéristiques suivantes : Flux 0 video Codec: MPEG-1/2 Video (mpgv) - Résolution 720x576 - débit images 50 Flux 1 audio Codec MPEG A52 Audio - canaux stéréo - Fréquence d'échantillonnage 48000 Hz - Débit 192 Kb/s J'ai donc tenté de transcoder le fluc originel successivement vers l'un et l'autre de ces formats, mais sans succès. En fait, les divers fichiers obtenus après transcodage, n'affichent ni le son ni l'image avec mon dispositif TNT/TV (mais vlc les interprète, image et son). Vrai, sur le PC dont j'ai parlé lors de ma précédente question (récupération de flux vidéos), certains composants de vlc ne sont pas installés, et, apparemment, pas installables (Desktop sous Lenny), mais j'ai également essayé sur mon portable sous Ubuntu 8.04, et, plus récemment, sur un portable de mon association, sous Debian Squeeze. Sous Squeeze, les packages ne prennent pas en charge 'mpga' et, en faisant quelque recherche, l'on trouve que, mp3 n'étant plus un logiciel libre, ces bibliothèques ne sont plus disponibles. Cela limite fortement les applications ! Sur les anciennes versions (celle testée sous Ubuntu 8.04), çà paraît fonctionner, mais le résultat est inexploitable pour l'application qui m'intéresse. Quoique, dans l'une des docs parcourues, j'ai trouvé une mention déclarant à peu près ceci: Il est connu que le muxer avi sous Linux donne des fichiers corrompus... Or, le avi semble être le seul muxer qui donne des fichiers video compatibles avec mon dispositif TNT/TV: même si aucune image ne s'affiche, c'est le seul format qui n'aboutisse pas à l'erreur Format non reconnu. Je suis donc vraiment perdu. J'ai bien trouvé un forum de discussion concernant VLC. Il est en anglais, et... on n'y trouve que des questions, pas de réponses... Apache: MaxClients + taille processus
Bonjour, On lit de partout, à commencer dans la doc, que la valeur par défaut (256) de la directive MaxClients de Apache est suffisante dans la plupart des cas. Comme je ne trouve pas cette valeur particulièrement élevée, je voudrais savoir s'il y a un moyen d'évaluer (d'une façon ou d'une autre) ce que cela représente en terme de visites ou de pages vues ou je ne sais quoi ? Si j'ai bien compris 256 c'est le nombre max de processus fils simultanés = nombre max de connexions simultanées ? (un processus ne gère qu'une connexion (il meurt à la fin de la connexion) alors qu'une connexion peut gérer *MaxRequestsPerChild* requêtes) Oui/Non ? *Taille des processus* Quelles sont les techniques de calcul de la taille des processus pour déterminer la valeur de MaxClients et donc la quantité de RAM que doit avoir le serveur ? On en apprend tous les jours... perso je n'ai jamais eu de avi corrompu sous linux. Le problème que je connais est que le conteneur avi accepte plusieurs couples de codecs audio et vidéo mais le player standard de windows, (du moins jusqu'à XP, j'ai pas essayé au-delà) ne sait en lire qu'un seul à savoir divx/xvid pour la vidéo et mp3 pour l'audio. Je suis donc vraiment perdu. J'ai bien trouvé un forum de discussion concernant VLC. Il est en anglais, et... on n'y trouve que des questions, pas de réponses... Dans les archives, chaque mois une trentaine de questions, et zéro réponse, ou, s'il y en a, ce ne doit pas être souvent, car je n'en n'ai pas encore trouvé. Je me permet donc modestement de donner ma solution, qui consiste à extraire et transcoder au format qui va bien, les vidéos qui m'intéresse, et ceci au moyen d'un script de mon cru que j'ai essayé de rendre utilisable par ma chère et tendre (autrement dit par madame michu) Ce script ne fait que formats fichiers avec des options volontairement restreintes et même un mode tout automatique, mais les fichiers résultants sont lisible sur tous les lecteurs de salon ou de windows ou que sais-je... Je le mets en pièce jointe, sans aucune prétention, en cas de problème ne pas hésiter à me demander, même en privé pour ne pas polluer la liste... Buen día a todos Les consulto porque llevo dos horas buscando y se me agotó la paciencia y la forma de preguntarle a Google. El tema es el siguiente: Tengo un servidor remoto, que no se porque, alguien le cambio la codificacion de caracteres y aparecieron muchisimos, pero michisimos archivos con nombre del tipo: archivo1.ods (codificaci├│n no v├ílida) el caso es que yo quiero eliminar esa parte del nombre que dice (codificaci├│n no v├ílida) pero queria hacerlo de manera automática y por consola, ya que si lo trato de hacer con pyrenamer o gprename desde mi equipo no puedo indicarle a estos programas que vean el servidor remoto, con nautilus tendria que hacerlo a mano, pararme sobre cada archivo, pulsar F2 y borrar esa parte del nombre. Pero supongo que podré crear un script que lo haga automaticamente, buscando desde el directorio raiz / del servidor de manera recursiva y cortando esa parte del nombre de cada coincidencia. Veo que tendré que usar find, grep y mv junto con right o left, pero se me hace mucha confusion y no puedo dar con la tecla para escribirlo. Podes probar eso. Querido amigo, lo que propones parece sencillo y hasta cierto punto lo es. He hecho la copia del home en el disco en donde lo deseo montar, ha quedado con los permisos adecuados. επισυνάπτω το codec_out όπως μου είπες. Μπορείς να δοκιμάσεις να προσθέσεις στο /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf τη γραμμή options snd-hda-intel model=z71v position_fix=1 να κάνεις restart και να δεις αν εμφανίζεται η ρύθμιση στον alsamixer? Δεν άκουσα πάντως κανέναν ήχο κατά το test. Αυτό νομίζω δεν είναι και πολύ καλό γιατί το output δείχνει ότι τα ακουστικά δεν είναι συνδεδεμένα άρα τα εσωτερικά ηχεία θα έπρεπε να είναι ενεργοποιημένα. Η ένταση όμως του ήχου στο test είναι μικρή οπότε αν ακούς ήχο κατά τα άλλα δεν υπάρχει πρόβλημα. Άσχετο / σχετικό βρήκα από το site της dell αναλυτικές οδηγίες για το πως να ανοίξω το laptop. Θεωρώ ότι είναι πολύ καλή κίνηση από την εταιρία και το αναφέρω ως παράδειγμα σωστής εταιρικής πρακτικής. Ναι, κι εμένα το προηγούμενο laptop ήταν dell και με είχε εντυπωσιάσει το manual :) Είχε κάθε βίδα ξεχωριστά με όνομα και αριθμό, σχεδιαγράμματα, οδηγίες, τα πάντα :) Χαιρετισμούς, Παντελής

Saudações a todos. Estou implementando um servidor com discos em Raid1, até aqui tudo bem, tem um monte de informações na net. Ms Todas as informações que encontrei se referem a criação do Raid a partir da instalação do sistema, ou seja, no momento da instalação se cria o Raid, por hard ou soft, e depois instala-se o Linux. Minhas dúvidas são: Quando um desses discos vier a dar problema: Como vou perceber isso no Debian? Como faço para substituí-lo e atualizar todos os dados com o disco novo? Genel olarak diğer sistemde kullandığınız (özellikle diğer sistem Ubuntu ya da Mint ise) her şeyi rahatça Debian'da da kullanırsınız. Uygulamakta güçlük çektiğiniz ya da merak ettiğiniz değişiklikler için daha belirli konular üzerine sorularınız olursa listede yanıtlanacağını düşünüyorum. Görsellik denilince konu kapsamlı malum. Merhaba, opendns vs. ile hiç uğraşmayınız. bind9 paketi kurabilir ve kendi dns cache kullanabilirsiniz. Bunun için apt-get install bind9 bind paketi kurup arkasından, /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf içinde prepend domain-name-servers 127.0.0.1; aktif yapmanız yeterlidir. Bundan sonra ilk dns sunucusu kendi local dns sucunuz olacağından, dns sunucuları ile ilgili sorununuz kalmaz. They're just configuration settings. You can either set them from the command line using the sysctl commands it gives you, or create a /etc/sysctl.d/something.conf file that contains: net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter = 2 net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter = 2 net.ipv4.conf.default.log_martians = 1 net.ipv4.conf.all.log_martians = 1 net.ipv4.conf.default.accept_source_route = 0 net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_source_route = 0 Then do invoke-rc.d procps restart to make them take effect. That method is probably better because they'll then be set on bootup in future. Lenny - Squeeze : Apache2:LDAP SSL auth not working anymore
hi, after upgrading Lenny to Squeeze, ldap auth over .htacces/virtual-host.config stops working when using SSL. I've searched hours on friday and though packages are missing or broken. Apache2 brings only Internal Server Error, but nothing in the error/debug logfiles. Apache asks for the username/password and the user can type anything, after some seconds you get the error page. Debian-6 booting on old host.
Good time of day. I can not boot Debian 6 on a very old machine - its screen simply distorted - just multiple lines. - I have investigated before, here, on the list, and it was fond at that time that the problem was in X server settings - too high color depth by default, so that adjusting of the appropriate parameter did help. So, I suppose that X server is used at boot time even if rescue mode is chosen at the initial menu. - Though i'm not sure. Nevertheless, if You have *any ideas* that may help, please make known. KVM image
Good time of the day. I can not mount a KVM HDD file - in the VM I create partition on the VM device, format it, latter I can access it in KVM. But when I try to mount the file in host environment (not VM) it requires FS type, when it is specified, it gives usual error - bad SB, mount option, etc. That's how I do it (and months ago it did work perfectly): # mount -t ext3 -o loop,offset=32256 ./db /mnt/0 # ls da db the versions of KVM and related software is Debian 6 up to the date. Problem with Squeeze upgrade
Hello. I have dial-up. So, I ordered Squeeze DVDs, which arrived on Friday. I added these to my sources.list (apt-cdrom add), and I commented out every other source. I got rid of my preferences files. I first did the minimal system upgrade (apt-get upgrade), followed by the upgrade to the kernel (apt-get install linux-image-2.6-686) followed by the upgrade to udev (apt-get install udev). This went smoothly. Then I rebooted, and proceeded to to apt-get dist-upgrade. Here began the problems. debian:/home/mark# apt-get dist-upgrade [..] 377 upgraded, 327 newly installed, 62 to remove and 6 not upgraded. Need to get 0B/907MB of archives. After this operation, 643MB of additional disk space will be used. I then investigated, and discovered that /dev/hdc didn't exist. However, /dev/cdrom1 did exist, and I was able to mount the cdrom (dvdrom, actually) with this. So, I reverted back to the previous line, but changed hdc to cdrom1: /dev/cdrom1 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0 This worked for the first dvd, but in retrospect I think I made an error here. Anyway, I ran apt-get dist-upgrade, and it now read the first dvd. However, when it requested me to change the dvd to another one, the cdrom would not open -- it was locked. So, I pressed Ctrl-C to stop the upgrade, but it was still locked. Eventually I got the dvd out by entering eject cdrom in the terminal, and it came out. So, I went back to my /etc/fstab file, and added: /dev/cdrom1 /cdrom auto defaults,noauto,ro 0 0 I did the tests from the release notes, that being: debian:/# mount /cdrom debian:/# ls -alF /cdrom lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 Jul 23 2006 /cdrom - media/cdrom/ debian:/# umount /cdrom So, this seemed to work. I still had issues, though, with it locking in the dvd in the drive, and not allowing me to change it. In fact, I couldn't even get the dvd out of the drive due to the changed /cdrom mount: debian:/home/mark# eject cdrom eject: tried to use `/media/cdrom0' as device name but it is no block device eject: tried to use `/media/cdrom0' as device name but it is no block device eject: unable to find or open device for: `cdrom' So I had to have both the /media/cdrom0 line, and the /cdrom line there to be able to eject the dvds. I proceeded to rerun apt-cdrom add. I was able to get the first one registered in the sources.list, but not the rest. I have been using resolution 1280x760 for about 1 year now, and I never had any problems with it, but after actualization of fluxbox ( to 1.3~ ) it is behaving like this resolution is too high - I have to scroll down screen to see toolbar. Xen questions
Hi, I'm on a crash course with Xen got some quick questions. Hardware is Dual 3GHz EM64T CPUs on an IBM x346 machine. Using Squeeze amd64 installation with lvm2, all good so far. Using 6 disks with the ServeRAID-7k presenting 6 logical -- I've RAID6-ed 3 partitions, the first for /boot, the second for swap and the third for lvm2. Don't have HVM, so using para-virtualization. I found that I couldn't start the Dom0 machine too quickly, so I changed the grub timeout from 5 seconds to 10 seconds -- if I start it too quickly, then it bombs out [panic] and does a reboot. After waiting the full 10 seconds, all is fine. Is there a setting that would help with this so that the Dom0 can be started immediately? Other grub adjustments were made, Xen kernel first and no OS probing. Using xen-tools to create DomU machines (one squeeze using debbootstrap only so far). Adjusted these two entries in /etc/default/xendomains # By default, when Xen dom0 shuts down or reboots, it tries to save the # state of the domUs. Sometimes there are problems with that and # because it is also clean to just have the VMs shutdown upon host # shutdown XENDOMAINS_RESTORE=false XENDOMAINS_SAVE= When you reboot the Dom0 machine without first shutting down the DomUs, does it do a normal shutdown of each DomU cleanly? It looks like it does a very fast halt, so I'm not sure the shutdown would be as clean as I would like. SCX 4200 Samsung stop working with libsane 1.0.22-1
Trying to use the scanner this week I not that it was no more recognized by scanimage. The command sane-find-scanner do find the scanner: found USB scanner (vendor=0x04e8 [Samsung], product=0x341b [SCX-4200 Series]) at libusb:001:005 But scanimage -L dont find the device: No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). Actually the backend for the SCX4200 used to be xerox_mfp. I see the configurations files xerox_mfp.conf and dll.conf seems to be ok. The backend for the v4L works. Am I missing something? Two or three weeks ago I've used it with no problems. Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). Actually the backend for the SCX4200 used to be xerox_mfp. I see the configurations files xerox_mfp.conf and dll.conf seems to be ok. The backend for the v4L works. Am I missing something? Two or three weeks ago I've used it with no problems. debian per vlan spanning tree
Hello! Is it possible to configure a working per vlan spanning tree (cisco pvst) on debian? Because I configured one vlan interface on both physical interface, then create a bridge and put these vlan interfaces in it, but it seems the stp isn't working. Beside this is my wanted resolution which worked correctly until actualization of fluxbox Try to set whatever resolution you want with xrandr (I hope this utility can work with vesa...).
