J'aimerai avoir vos retours d'expérience sur comment lancer rygel ?
Pour l'instant je le lance en ligne de commande depuis un terminal. N'y-t'il
pas un moyen plus sexy de le faire ?

J'ai un autre soucis c'est que les vidéos pixellisent une fois sur la télé
alors que sur l'écran de l'ordi (full hd également) c'est très bon ?
Dans /etc/rygel.conf j'ai mis tous les transcoding à false mais sans effet.
La télé est une Sony KDL-40EX500.

Oui j'y ai pensé mais je n'ai pas envie qu'il soit lancé en permanence. Je
préférerai quelque chose que l'on peut activer au coup par coup depuis un

Oui la conso CPU augmente. Pour les codecs supportés je ne sais pas trop mais
ce que je peux dire c'est que le même fichier lu par la télé depuis une clé
usb ne pose pas de problème alors qu'il pixelise via rygel.

Problème de détection écran / Impossible de passer en FullHD

Bonjour à toute la communauté,

je me permets de demander votre aide pour passer mon écran en résolution FullHD 
(1920x1080). Ca a l'air simple. Pourtant, malgré
différentes tentatives de résolutions trouvées sur des forums, je reste bloqué 
à 1280x1024. Je précise que je débute en Linux.

Tout d'abord voici ma config :

PROCESSEUR : Intel I7-2600
CARTE MERE : Asus P8P67 LE
CARTE GRAPHIQUE: Asus EAH6970 DCUII/2DI4S/2GD5
MONITEUR : TV Sony Bravia KDL 32EX720
LIAISON: DVI de la carte au HDMI de la TV
OS : Debian Squeeze 6.0.4 AMD64

Quand je tape gnome-display-properties, j'ai
 Ecran : Inconnu
 Résolution : 1280x1024
 Fréquence : 0Hz

Mon Xorg.0.log se trouve ici :

J'ai d'abord essayé d'ajouter le mode 1920x1080 avec xrandr (v1.3) :

Malgré l'erreur size of gamma, la résolution 1920x1080 est bien ajoutée dans 
la liste des résolutions disponibles dans
gnome-display-properties. Mais si j'essaie de l'appliquer, j'ai l'erreur 
Impossible de définir la configuration pour le CRTC 262
et mon écran reste en 1280x1024.


Ensuite, j'ai essayé d'installer le pilote propriétaire ATI (fglrx). Mais à la 
commande :
aticonfig --initial
j'ai eu l'erreur :
No supported adapters detected

J'ai encore essayé autre chose. Comme je n'ai pas de etc/X11/xorg.conf, j'ai 
cherché à en faire générer un au système pour espérer
changer la résolution de mon écran.

J'ai essayé la commande :
dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
Ca semble ne rien faire.

J'ai essayé 
X -configure
(après avoir réussi à arrêter GNOME à l'aide de la commande invoke-rc.d gdm3 
stop)
et la j'ai eu un Fatal error server signal 11. Le fichier journal qui 
détaille cette erreur se trouve ici :

Je ne sais vraiment pas quoi faire de plus. Est-ce quelqu'un pourrait m'aider à 
comprendre ce qui se passe et à résoudre ce problème
de détection matériel ?

Tant que le launcher n'a pas de symlink dans /etc/rc2.d il ne
démarrera pas automatiquement le daemon.

Si tu as 2 machines, y'a-t'il une diff. de conso entre lire le
fichier à partir d'un client PC (mais tjrs par DLNA) et la même
avec la TV?

Donc à priori, à vue de nez et au doigt mouillé, le format semble
correctement reconnu par la TV; et rygel ne devrait pas être en
cause, vu qu'il a passé les certifs DLNA - si ça pixellise, ça 
peut venir de 2 choses: soit rygel transcode (et tu t'es planté
dans la conf, ou rygel fait un truc qu'il ne devrait pas faire),
soit la B.P. est inférieure au débit du fichier (LAN ou WLAN?)

Sinon, essaye minidlna pour voir s'il ne résoudrait pas le PB.

Elle est bien bonne celle-là. Quel manuel ? Les 3 pages fournies avec la
télé ? De toute façon avec toutes les mises à jours que le firmware a subit y
a longtemps que la doc en correspond plus. ;)

C'est quoi ça?  Pourquoi ne pas passer pa une liaison VGA-VGA?
Il me semble que si l'I/F HDMI n'a pas une autre interface HDMI au
bout du fil, il-y-a dégradation de la résolution...

Ca ne risque pas de marcher: tu est en mode VESA, et le max
actuel est de 1600x1200 *dans le meilleur des cas*, sachant que
la plupart du temps, les timings compatibles ne permettent de
monter qu'à 1280x800|1024.

par le drv radeon?

Normal, il veut utiliser le driver fbdev et ne trouve pas le
device associé.

Il serait intéressant de voir le fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf
(même endroit, pas ici).

Non tu peux passer du DVI vers HDMI sans soucis.
Je le fais également avec une Sony (KDL-40EX500) mais une carte graphique
NVIDIA et les pilotes proprio.
Pourquoi vouloir revenir sur du VGA à l'ère du tout numérique ?

Ben faut savoir ce que tu veux: soit ça démarre au boot, soit ça
démarre à la mimine par /etc/init.d/mesdaemonsontlachés start

? toutes les TV fr sont livrées avec des manuels complets; au
pire en PDF sur le CD, voire à aller chercher à la source.

Je sais ce que je veux. :) Quelque chose qui ne nécessite pas de passer root
et qui puisse être démarré/arrêté d'une façon qui s'intègre dans gnome.

vlc de debian-multimedia ne semble pas avoir été compilé avec le support upnp.
djmount ne voit rien.

dans la section gstlaunch ? J'avais vu mais comme il y a enabled=false en
début de section je me suis dit que ce n'était pas actif ?
Pour le mode debug ok mais où est-ce qu'il enregistre le log ???

Par contre je viens de voir qu'il y a aussi un fichier rygel.conf dans
~/.config/ et si je mets tous les transcoder à false la télé ne voit plus de
fichiers (juste l'arbo).

[testing][Gnome] comment vider la poubelle d'une clé usb

Salut,

Dans le temps les éléments mis à la poubelle d'une clé usb étaient visible et
vidangeable depuis la poubelle générale. Ça ne semble plus être le cas dans
testing. Comment faut-il faire ?

Pareil avec minidlna.
Après recherche sur le site Sony (y a rien dans les docs
fournies avec la télé, tant papier que pdf), la télé supporterait moins de

Hébinvoila, comme quoi faire les choses dans l'ordre ça a des
fois son importance: si ta tv ne prend que le MPEG-2, ça explique
le transcodage.
Ça t'apprendras à acheter une marque d'enfoirés qui se foutent de
leurs clients.

Faut 'gader du côté des utilitaires, y'en a ptêt qui peuvent
configurer un dongle eth/USB à distance et le faire passer pour
une clé.

Oui il semble faire un mix entre les deux.

étant donner que je ne peux pas voir le cd j'aimerai savoir comment 
différencier un cd d'un dvd avant de graver celui-ci sous ma debian

 en ligne de commande au pire.

Avec un cdrecord (ou wodim) verbeux, en lançant une gravure en mode
dummy, il devrait indiquer le média trouvé normalement...

Quelque chose comme :

cdrecord -v dev=X,X,X -dummy truc.iso

  Aclaro que mi usuario es fdmogollon, entro desde una terminal de root y

  Hasta aquí veo que no encuentra el archivo, y pensé que era porque el
  código fuente del driver está dentro de la subcarpeta rtl8187, así que
  voy hasta ese directorio y lo intento de nuevo y obtengo lo siguiente:

  nuevo y obtengo lo mismo:

 No, no... eso no es así, no te está diciendo eso.

 Además, no instales un kernel tan a la ligera a no ser que lo necesites por
 algo concreto. En fin, te recomiendo que dejes la compilación a un lado y
 que
 pruebes a configurar tu adaptador con el módulo que incluye el kernel,
 salvo
 que tengas algún problema concreto y no te funcione, en cuyo caso la
 compilación
 sería la siguiente alternativa.

No importa si el caché se monta en disco duro real o en memoria, en

Saludos lista hace algunos dias publiqué este artículo sobre apagar el 
servidor presionando el boton de encendido, mi server es un debian6,

electrico falla, yo atiendo varias unidades y no a veces no estoy 
delante de los server para poder apagarlos, tampoco tengo admin de red 
que realice esta tarea y es por eso que queria que mi server apague así, 
solo tengo que decirle a mis compañeros que presionen el boton del 
server y el se apaga solo, bueno despues de esta lata, les explico como 
lo hice, despues de intentar varias veces modificando el contenido de 
los ficheros que se encuentran en la carpeta /etc/acpi y no dar con el 
asunto, copie el contenido de la carpeta /etc/acpi de mi debian 5 al 
mismo lugar /etc/acpi en mi debian6 reinicie el server y todo funciona 
ok, aqui les dejo el nombre de los ficheros  
/etc/acpi/powerbtn-acpi-support.sh /etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh a veces lo 
dificil al final se torna facil, saludos

Bueno, tener un kernel más moderno nunca está de más, es decir, que no es 
necesario que lo desinstales, te puede servir en el momento menos 
pensando.

Pero pensaba que querías más seguridad y que tenías todo el sistema 
cifrado (partición raíz incluida), pero si sólo quieres cifrar la 
partición /home quizá no te merezca la pena siquiera cifrar la 
partición de intercambio.

¿La copia normal ocupa 100 GiB? :-O

Pues esa puedes pasarla manualmente (si tienes acceso físico al servidor 
que genera ese archivo te la puedes llevar en un disco portátil y si no 
tienes acceso local puedes transferirla a través de FTP/SFTP). El resto 
de archivos incrementales o diferenciales serán más digeribles para 
moverlos por Internet.

Rsync, como te comenta Julio sería una buena alternativa ya que se 
ejecuta como demonio y se encargaría automáticamente del proceso de copia 
y archivado.

También podrías incluir un script sencillito en el cron para que envíe 
los datos mediante scp al equipo remoto. O algo premontado, como backup-
manager.

 No quiero que nadie me haga el trabajo, solamente que me den ideas para

 El backup local que se hace a diario ya lo tengo y funciona perfecto. La
 linea para comprimir el directorio de backup la tengo (tar -Pvuf
 backup.tar /directorio-de-backup-local).
 
 Lo que me falta saber es si una vez que tenga el primer backup hecho,
 puedo copiar los archivos nuevos y modificados en un archivo diferente,
 es decir, por primera vez hago el tar y me queda en el archivo
 backup-completo.tar.gz y luego hago una copia incremental en
 archivo-ddmm.tar.gz, asi lo que envio a la otra sucursal es este
 ultimo archivo semanal y no todo de nuevo cada vez.
 
 ¿Estoy en lo correcto?

Sí, tar puede gestionar copias incrementales y esos archivos serían los 
que tendrías que transferir, pero ya sabes que para recrear la copia de 
seguridad completa necesitas todos los archivos (la copia inicial o 
normal y todos los archivos incrementales).

Grupo por defecto al crear directorios o ficheros

Hola buen día, mas que un problema es una duda la que tengo, 
recientemente realice una configuración para poder acceder a mi cuenta 
de Box.net desde el nautilus, y para poder realizarla con éxito tuve que 
añadir mi usuario al grupo que crea el paquete que me permite hacer la 
conexión (davfs2), curiosamente luego de hacer esto cualquier directorio 
o fichero que cree tiene como grupo dueño davfs2, quisiera saber cual es 
la forma de designar cual es el grupo por defecto que será el dueño de 
un directorio o fichero al ser creado, si alguien pudiera darme luces lo 
agradecería mucho,

Como solución... me parece hasta peligrosa.

No creo que pase nada... en Lenny le funcionaba porque los dos archivos 
que necesitaba para configurar el apagado butonil se incluyen de serie 
mientras que en Squeeze hay que copiarlos manualmente.

Vamos, nada que no esté reflejado en el archivo de la ayuda:

/usr/share/doc/acpid/README.Debian

Con lo que cuesta documentar las cosas para que luego no se lean :-)

No es eso hermano, lo que pasa es que uno no nacio sabiendo ok, a veces 
uno hace todo lo posible por buscar pero en mi caso no sabia que en 
/etc/acpi se realizaban las tareas de apagado del server, lo aprendi 
ahora y en este momento cuando leo su mensaje en la lista me documento 
con relacion al readme de acpi, de todas formas gracias.

porque estuve mas de 1 semana tratando de resolver la parte algunos
inconvenientes entonces me decidi solo  trabajar con HOME cifrado, y
anda barbaro. No queria dejar cabo suelto con SWAP, y tampoco
considero (ojo! es muy personal) que valga tanto como cifrar SWAP. asi
q considere que con borrar los datos al salir es mas q suficiente.

No puedo poner tildes tras instalar el driver propietario de nvidia

Saludos, tengo un problema con las tildes que no me hab´ia ocurrido antes.
Tengo la distribuci´on de teclado en español, ya que puedo poner sin
problemas la ñ y las tildes, pero estas me salen separadas de las
vocales. Como digo no es problema de tenerlo en ingl`es ya que no lo
arregla:

setxkbmap es

Normalmente uso OpenBox, pero tengo el mismo problema en Kde o Gnome. Los
´unicos lugares donde no me ocurren es en la pantalla de login de GDM y KDM
donde se escriben correctamente, pero una vez entro en el sistema de
escritorio vuelve a ocurrirme.

Este es mi actual Xorg.conf:

Es necesario si no quieres que se pueda acceder a los datos que tienes 
cargados en memoria cuando el equipo está encendido y con la sesión 
iniciada. De todas formas, los pasos para cifrar la partición /swap deben 
ser los mismos que seguiste para cifrar la partición /home, así que ¿cuál 
es el problema con la /swap?

Problemas con lector de tarjetas wheezy

Hola, estoy viendo este mensaje repetitivo en mi /var/log/message,
pero fue después de la actualización a wheezy, es mas, casi
seguro que es por el nuevo kernel, así como el problema del
wifi lento con Atheros 9285. En Squeeze no tenía estos problemas,
es mas cuando actualicé conservé el kernel 2.6.32 y con este no
tenía problemas ni con el wifi ni con el lector de tarjetas sd.

Este es el mensaje:
sd 4:0:0:0: [sdb] Test WP failed, assume Write Enabled

Si alguien ha tenido este problema por favor una luz que no sea
compilar la rc del kernel.

He probado y tengo los mismo problemas.


  Tengo la distribuci´on de teclado en español, ya que puedo poner

Acabo de probar, y en las TTY no me ocurre. Al igual que en gdm/kdm, las
tty parecen funcionar bien.

Estoy usando Testing (Wheezy), ha ocurrido al cambiar del driver libre al
driver propietario, asi que no parece un problema de actualizaciones.

He mirado /etc/default/keyboard y tengo:

XKBVARIANT=
XKBOPTIONS=
BACKSPACE=guess

Tambien he probado a hacer dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration pero
nada ha cambiado.

He probado con tu xorg.conf y no me funciona tampoco. Actualmente lo he

dificultades para descargar los paquetes de actualización

Hola, por favor necesito ayuda con el siguiente problema.

Luego de instalar debían en mi computadora, tengo dificultades para
descargar los paquetes de actualización.

Les comento brevemente cual es la situación.

Intento instalar debian 6.0.4 Squeeze (amd64) y tengo problemas con la
detección automática de los dispositivos de red utilizando un servidor
DHCP.

En este punto se produce una falla en la instalación y luego el sistema me
permite continuar utilizando la opción de configurar más tarde los
parámetros de la red.

Por supuesto, en el paso siguiente, cuando el sistema  intenta configurar
el gestor de paquetes “apt” no pude conectarse con ninguna de las
direcciones de las réplicas en HTTP o FTP.

Finalizada la instalación intenté configurar manualmente la interface de
red para el servidor DHCP.

Agregando en el archivo ( /etc/network/interfaces) las siguientes líneas:

´auto eth0´

´iface eth0 inet dhcp´

Para luego reiniciar la red con el comando ´/etc/init.d/networking
restart´.

En este punto. Quisiera comentar que logro tener acceso a internet. Pero
sólo puedo ingresar a cierto tipo de páginas.

Puedo ingresar a  la página de google, pero extrañamente no puedo ingresar
a otro tipo de páginas; como la de debían para poner como ejemplo.

Por último actualicé los repositorios que se encuentran en el archivo de
´sources.list´

Finalmente cuando intenté descargar los paquetes de actualización con el
comando ´apt-get update´ el sistema no los actualiza.

Pues amigo, no utiliza ninguna replica en red y solo instala sistema
base y hay puedes configurar eso, ya después instalas interfaz
gráfica, yo hago así y me parece que es mas rápido, Saludos.

Yo en tu lugar haria lo siguiente
En el servidor remoto, descomprimo el tar, luego desde el local envio
por rsync en modo incremental ( inclusive con deletes) y unavez
transmitidos los cambios vuelvo a empaquetar el directorio en el remoto.
Todo eso lo podes meter en un script en el servidor remoto y ejecutarlo
con un cron

Asumo que en tu red hay un servidor DHCP. 

¿Eres el administrador de la red? ¿tienes acceso a la configuración del
servidor DHCP?... mas que nada para ver que dicen los logs del servidor
DHCP.

También te da la opción de introducir los datos de la red en ese momento
o en un paso posterior, y si vas por ahí le puedes configurar la

Una vez arrancado el equipo mira si está bien configurada la red con

$ /sbin/ifconfig
$ /sbin/route

y mándanos la salida de esos comandos a ver si vemos algo.

¿Se usa algún proxy en tu red? si es así hay que tenerlo en cuenta.

No, you're not mistaken, just probably seeking a solution to a different
problem (lucky you!).

Thanks for reminding me to take another look at Ekiga.

Blink, Jitis, Linphone, Mumble, QuteCom, and Yate are other interesting
programs.
None of which completely cover the range of platforms I require, though
I have a soft spot for Linphone.

 Window$ box) to install Ekiga.

That's part of my specifications - though I really want something that
allows me to communicate with everyone, from everything I use
telecommunications with.

to have a competitive market for connections to mobile and landlines.

A primary requirement is that whatever the solution - it be available in
Debian, availability and support on other distros and platforms is a bonus.

I'm after a solution to a problem that Ekiga only partially solves.
It does have some features I like - but it doesn't fully replace the
features of Skype. And I do want to replace Skype - in the unlikely
event that Skype open sourced[*1] their codecs I'd still want to move
the bulk of my telecommunications to a more competitive protocol.

My ideal solution is something a non-technical person can easily
configure. Meaning it must be capable of being installed by a chicken -
put bread on Enter key - keep tapping Enter.

It doesn't work well on low-speed, low latency connections. That's a
problem that may not be solvable.

I may have to compromise and use multiple VOIP solutions, as part of my
needs is to be able to communicate with non-technical people who have no
interest in learning why commercially popular applications are not the
only, or the best, solutions.

[*1] yes, I know it's been reversed, but that's not the solution I'm
looking for. Additionally there's still only one player in the price
setting market for landlines and mobile connections. And Skype is *not*
cheap compared to other players.

Please note, every day mysql optimization as well as repairing is done

I will tell You what it does. :o) - Adjusting it I have the number of
the items I can see for present: say, I set it to zero - I see nothing
at all, 10 - 10, and so on. But it in no way helps me in keep things in
order - after I have read all the items (say, cache is set to 10) -
then on feed update I get those very same feeds - just less in
number. :o)

But now you tell... I have no special configuration for the feeds (all 
use cache and are automatically managed by the app) but if I manually 
deleted one feed, quit from Liferea, start it again and I update that
rss chanel, the feed I deleted is not coming back.

Well, to me it behaves same way - no matter to quit or stay - on update
all deleted items appear again. :o(

I'm using and old Liferea (1.4.18) so this could have been changed in 
updated versions (or can be indeed seen as a bug :-P). What version
are you running?

I believe so it was w/ me, but w/ new one it is a dilemma. - Nice You
have mentioned that - I forgot that fact - so, I will bug report it.

Almost certainly, but it's more likely that people who use mysql very
intensively will be better able to help you than general Debian users.

Have you considered seeking help in mysql forums? The vast majority of
heavy mysql users will be running it on Linux or a BSD, and there's not
really anything Debian-specific about mysql.

PGP/MIME signature manually.

D) PGP/MIME signature is signature in signature.asc and headers.

E) I am not going to use PGP/MIME before I am able to verify it manually.

 important to know what's your GRUB's version as both versions differ a

 security patches) so installing lenny -unless you have a specific
 requirement for doing so- is a bad move and a waste of time... you should
 reconsider getting squeeze instead.

Skype network is distinct from the soft-phone components.

I'll do a little digging and find out more about the services that do
that if you like.
To the best of my foggy recollections it's commercial Skype to SIP (and
maybe other protocol) bridges - but it's possible there are other
variations.

A search engine can tell you more. I'm lazy and I don't want to appear
to know something I just looked up and repeated like a monkey ;-p

I suspect the new owners may favour the not co-exist line - but I've
no proof.

I do know work is currently being done to integrate it into two MS
products. And that early last year some restrictive changes where made
to the network - whether those restrictions were because of new
ownership, integration with MS products, or to limit compatibility with
the reversed code release I don't know.


While I favour open systems I'm opposed to enclaves - that leads to
ghettos, so I like to mix open and closed if only to force the closed to
allow the open (if that makes any sense).

I'd like to find an alternative to Skype - but while MS owns it I'll
continue to throw a few dollars at it every now and then - means they
have to lose revenue cutting off the GNU/Linux client, and helps stop
the world dividing into clients by platform enclaves.

Besides - I've had people get interest in GNU/Linux just because the
Skype client is better and contains no adds.

You don't really install SIP you use a SIP client (Ekiga or Linphone,
for example) to communicate with a gateway running the Skype client. The
gateway manipulates the Skype client using the SIP messages you send and
can be on your own machine or somebody else's machine. The first will
cost you time and effort; the second will probably cost money. The
gateway will provide voice but maybe not video.

Either way you cannot avoid running the Skype client, or its equivalent,
somewhere. If it is local you may as well use it (have you managed to
set it up yet?) to talk with your friends.

 I was under the impression that Skype was so proprietary that nothing  
 else would co-exist!

Skype (the company) release enough information to allow a limited degree
of interworking with its client.

user root problem after making Debian member of active directory 2003 server

 i followed this article to make a memeber of my domain.

Command successfully listing users


but when i run net ads status
it give me this error
kerberos_kinit_password root@$mydomain.com failed:

now after restart i coundnt make my self to login into the linux
machine. no i am stuck.

is there anything that can be done with out restart. and successfully
connect with AD if some thing is missing or any information is needed
please let me know.

It seems not to be a bug but how it works. What would be a bug is the 
behaviour I get in version 1.4, where deleted feeds are not recreated 
after updating the channel.

Yup, that's the way to go. I don't think Liferea devels are going to 
change their mind in this regard :-)

nothing every thing went well. i just installed i however i didnt runt
the grub command and things were working accordingly. i can not run
command grub as there is no command like this. so i didnt run any
thing in the grub console but i just runt the grub-install command
instead to install the stuff now thing are fine. now i am stuck in
samba and Microsoft activedirectory 2003 integration issue.

I don't recall the default GRUB for Lenny, I installed GRUB Legacy in 
my Lennys but I don't remember if GRUB Legacy was still the default

GRUB 2 is now in a good shape and as many people is using nowadays, you 
are covered in this regard :-). I also feared the transition from GRUB 
legacy to GRUB 2 but I barely have to play with the bootloader and I 
have a plain disk configuration layout so I still haven't experiences any 
problem with GRUB 2.

  So you're running Lenny... then sir, I'm sorry to say this but you really
  should reconsider reinstalling your full system with squeeze (current
  Debian stable) and now that you still have not started to install
  packages I'd say is the best time for doing it.

I would contact Intel tech support and ask them for a fix to this.

I finally fudged things. I set the bios so that it recognized the cdrom
and installed Debian Linux. I then rebooted, F2ed to the bios and
changed it so that it could find the hard drive. That worked. Since I
don't have to boot to the cdrom very often I can live with it. I'm
tired of fooling with the problem.

Mmm, is the CD-ROM unit still visible/accessible within the OS? If
not, you can try to connect it to port IDE1 (same as the hard disk) as
slave, that could make a difference (buy a longer IDE cable if the
devices are separated enough) or extract the optical unit and use it
with an external USB case.

I am now asking this question for the third time, but now in separate
thread.

As this list seems to be against GPG INLINE signatures, I have
promised to move to S/MIME (with devices which support it) when
someone on this list tells me how do I manually verify PGP/MIME
signature in case email client cannot be used to do it. Example case
would be verifying message from mailing list archives. I will also
move to PGP/MIME if anyone on this list admits my point that it's
easier to verify GPG INLINE manually than PGP/MIME.

I have
1. Used 45 minutes to try to solve how to do it by myself.
2. I have Googled for this without finding anything useful.
3. I have asked at official GNUPG support channel and got only answer
that it's tricky.

I am using PGP INLINE mainly, because of two reasons, which are
1. GPG INLINE is easier to verify manually. It's only copy-pasting the
whole message to gpg. I have sent three messages to this list asking
how does this happen with PGP/INLINE, but people are just ignoring the
question and telling me that I should use it.
2. K9 Mail, which I use on my phone when I sometimes need to email
from it, doesn't support PGP/MIME. There is bug report about it at

I think that I will start using PGP/MIME now that someone has said that
it's annoying to remove GPG signatures from messages and that they can
live with it. It's nicer way than telling to filter all emails from one
sender / threading / telling what should be done in their opinions and
then ignoring all problems in that way.

I hope that someone can still answer this question.

Debian Installer flaw

Debian installer work with WiFi, but support only WEP encryption which are 
simply ancient now. It cannot be connected thru WPA2-PSK + AES or TKIP. So I 
forced to use wired connection for setup, it's nonsese. I hope it will be fixed.

I use 6.0.4 Netinstall i386 CD and text setup.

A hidden policy (should there's any) is by definition not applicable so 
don't worry about it and use what GPG/PGP inline/attached file you 
estimate better for you.

Well, that was my *personal* opinion, you don't have to do what every 
person says, follow your own way :-)

Well, discarding posts just because of inline PGP/GPG signatures is a bit
