I was looking through my logs and found that I had been spammed directly from a couple of mailhosts. Considering that I'm on a dial-up connection that's a pretty good trick. The mail2news portion of newsgate works perfectly for me. Unfortunately that is not the case for news2mail. I had a feeling that my posts to debian.user (my local store of debian-user) weren't going out to the list. Since it's compiled against libc5 I've not wanted to UL it. I don't have an explanation. But I do have the same problem.
