Bug#496991: ITP: box2d -- 2D physics engine for games

2008-09-23 Thread Yaroslav Halchenko
Hi Everone!

Sorry that I've got so delayed with my reply -- busy busy and somehow
skipped this folder of non-urgent emails ;-)

If anyone feels taking over the packaging of it (and may be
numptyphysics) -- I would be thankful, unfortunately lack of time pushes
me to do so.

I am not sure if I would be a nice fit for you team atm ;)

Best regards
Yarik

  * Package name: box2d
Version : 2.0.1
Upstream Author : Erin Catto http://www.gphysics.com
  * URL : http://www.gphysics.com
  * License : zlib
Programming Lang: C++
Description : 2D physics engine for games

  2D rigid body simulation library for games. Programmer's can use it in
  their games to make objects move in believable ways and make the world
  seem more interactive. From the game's point of view a physics engine is
  just a system for procedural animation. Rather than paying (or begging)
  an animator to move your actors around, you can let Sir Isaac Newton do
  the directing.
  Hi Yaroslav,

  Since your package is strongly game related, may I suggest you to join the
  Debian Games Team .

 In fact I need this library for something I'm packaging in the games
 team, so that's another extra reason why we should want to coordinate.
 If you wanted to maintain this package collaboratively you will
 certainly be welcome in the Games Team :)

 Greetings,
 Miry
