Perché un cammino in Italia

San Francesco e San Antonio, il Serafico fondatore ed il Dotto 
Apostolo (meo episcopus)  dellordine francescano, sono due 
figure incommensurabili, che hanno acceso un perpetuo motore di 
spiritualità umile e semplice, una fonte inestinguibile per tutti 
coloro che soffrono darsura esistenziale.

Proprio su questi presupposti nasce lesigenza di offrire un 
Cammino che esaudisca la nuova esigenza spirituale, che 
diversamente dal passato è una ricerca di movimento dove il 
pellegrino vuole esplorale in primis originali contaminazioni pur 
di aprirsi alla compassione di quellAmor che move il sole e 
laltre stelle. Apparentemente lo scopo del pellegrino è di 
camminare verso ad Assisi, ma in verità avanza  dentro se 
stesso per congiungersi al divino celato in Lui.

Il Cammino di Assisi non è un pellegrinaggio architettato come si 
potrebbe pensare,  ma è la concatenazione di tanti brevi 
pellegrinaggi tradizionali che già preesistano nellambito locale 
(Vedi: Assisi, La Verna, la Casella,Cerbaiolo, Montecasale, 
Montepaolo) legati a peculiari devozioni e che rivissuti in 
questa dimensione daranno un nuovo slancio alla ricerca interiore 
rinverdendo lessenzialità della dottrina di Francesco; anche 
perché non siano soltanto le pietre a testificare al forestiero 
il Suo Magistero, ma si rinnovi lungo il cammino e nella stessa 
comunità assiate loriginale fraternità francescana.

La città di Assisi sarà elevata a: Punto di Convergenza 
Universale per gli uomini di buona volontà, trascendendo così 
qualunque distinzione di Cultura e Credenza in coerenza ai 
Principi Fondanti di ogni Vera Religione.

questa nuova opportunità di pellegrinaggio in uno splendido 
scenario naturale italiano, che germoglia sotto legida di due 
grandissimi santi come Francesco e Antonio per ravvivare la 
fiamma diquellamore che move il sole e laltre stelle che ogni 
uomo quasi inconsapevolmente porta in sè. 
Proprio nel mese di luglio (2007), gli amministratori di Santiago 
e di Assisi hanno ritenuto di gemellare queste due cittadine per 
le comuni affinità culturali e spirituali, rinverdendo così il 
fondamento del pellegrinaggio come vera fonte di nuova 
evangelizzazione. 

Confidiamo che il forte richiamo di questo Cammino di Assisi, non 
intacchi la serenità dei pellegrini alle prese di cotale 
esperienza esistenziale
