Un probleme courant est en effet une mauvaise configuration des "nameserver". Que se passe-t-il si tu essaye "ping 193.252.19.3"? Sinon, regarde dans le Mandrake Controle Center: sous les Services, est-ce que le parefeu Shorewall est lance? Parfois une mauvaise configuration bloque net toute tentative de communication avec l'exterieur. Essaye alors d'arreter le parefeu et de relancer la connection internet. Quelqu'un utilise-t-il ce modele de clavier? Le mien souffre d'un probleme bizarre: les touches F1-F12 ne font rien. ... y'aurait pas une ch'tite touche F lock à gauche de ton clavier (ou n'importe où sur le clavier) ? Dans ce cas, il faut que tu appuies d'abord sur cette touche avant de pouvoir utiliser les touches Fxx (fonctionnement similaire à celui du pavé numérique et de num lock). @+ -- (j'ai encore dit une connerie, là ?) Non, c'est moi qui a besoin de lunettes! En effet, il y a bien une touche F lock qui fait toute la difference. Ce serait pas mal pratique d'avoir une config automatique qui fonctionne lors de l'install de mdk9.0 tout de meme ... Bonjour, Quelqu'un utilise-t-il ce modele de clavier? Le mien souffre d'un probleme bizarre: les touches F1-F12 ne font rien. Je n'ai pas ce probleme sous Win98, seulement sous LM9.0 Le clavier est livre avec un cable USB et un convertisseur USB-PS2, j'ai essaye avec les deux methodes de branchement, rien a faire. Les touches supplementaires (pour commander le son, les raccourcis internet, etc...) fonctionnent sans souci, grace au logiciel Lineak. Quand j'utilise le logiciel integre a KDE pour capturer des raccourcis clavier, les touches F1-F12 ne sont pas detectes. Quelqu'un a-t-il une idee? Bonjour, Quand je lance le panneau de controle de Mandrake sous 9.0, sur la premiere page j'ai droit a quelques infos de base sur mon systeme: Système: Mandrake Linux release 9.0 (dolphin) for i586 .. .. Machine: i686 Ces deux lignes me laissent un peu confu. Je ne suis pas grand expert sur les processeurs, et je ne cherche pas a le devenir (!), je voudrais simplement savoir: 1. Bonjour, En Janvier je demenage sur Paris, j'en profiterais pour prendre une connection ADSL. Existe-t-il un site resummant les differentes offres, avec en particulier les fournisseurs qui s'amusent a bloquer certains ports ou a limiter les debits? Un tel site existe pour l'Angleterre, mais mon ami Google m'a lache et je n'ai pas trouve pareil pour la France :-) Au passage, si des lecteurs de cette liste ont eus des experiences tres negatives avec certains fournisseurs (par exemple, interdiction d'utiliser Linux ou de connecter plus d'un PC), je serais tres interesse. Inutile de préciser qu'AOL est à proscrire, Nerim est excellent techniquement mais le service commercial laisse à désirer. Ils proposent une FAQ et un forum pour linux. Les echos sur clubinternet et free adsl sont plutôt bons. Il y a des infos utiles sur : http://www.grenouille.com/ Merci pour le site, c'est interessant de voir des debits reels plutot que les pubs des fournisseurs :-) On m'a parle de connexions mini-ADSL, avec un debit de 128k, mais a un prix reduit. Parce que c'est un peu comme dire qu'il faut comprendre le cycle a 4 temps avant d'avoir le droit de conduire :-) Pour la plupart d'entre nous, la securite devrait etre aussi simple que ZoneAlarm sous Windows: on installe le paquettage parefeu, on repond oui a la question voulez-vous le lancer au demarrage?, on indique les ports ou les services a authoriser... et c'est tout! Le cote reseau de la plupart des PCs est tres simple (un PC, connecte a l'internet par modem ou ADSL), il est donc inutile de re-inventer la roue a chaque fois, la meme configuration convient a tous ces PCs. L'auteur de Shorewall offre d'ailleurs sur son site des fichiers de configuration standards pour differents scenarios: un PC tout seul, un PC qui fait la connection internet sur un petit reseau pour d'autres PCs, et d'autres encore. Richard PS Pour mon probleme de ports 'fermes' ou 'bloques', j'ai lu le FAQ de Shorewall, ou il est explique que certains ports sont deliberement laisses visibles sur l'internet pour permettre a certains serveurs de fonctionner correctement. Non, Galeon dépend de Mozilla pour son moteur donc les versions vont de paire, mais la numérotation n'est pas la même : ainsi Galeon1.3 nécessite Mozilla1.2. Tu verras la dépendance à satisfairesur le site de Galeon. Heu... tu es sûr de toi ? Il me semble que le moteur vient plutôt de netscape, non (Gecko)? Mozilla 0.9.8 chez moi tourne avec le moteur de netscape 7.0. Ou alors, je viens d'écrire une grosse connerie, j'ai l'habitude. Mozilla est un projet libre mais largement subventionne par Netscape. Mozilla est le produit de base, Netscape se servent du code comme base de leur propre navigateur. Franchement, je m'y perds un peu entre tous ces navigateurs fondés sur Mozilla. Tu n'es pas le seul. Surtout dernierement avec le lancement du projet Phoenix (cad Mozilla-Lite). Mais comme le projet Mozilla est concu pour etre le point de depart d'autres navigateurs, on peut s'attendre a en voir de plus en plus! Il faudrait presque les avoir tous pour pouvoir avoir le plus de chances de faire fonctionner tous les sites que je visite ! Quelques exemples sur des sites que je fréquente souvent ou que j'ai visité récemment. Galeon (version 1.2.5) ne permet pas de faire des recherches de jurisprudence sur le site www.legifrance.gouv.fr Mozilla 1.1 non plus. Mais Mozilla 1.2 le permet et 1.2.1 aussi... Phoenix 0.5 fonctionne parfaitement sur ce site. Aucun de ces trois ne permet de faire ses courses sur ooshop.fr (Carrefour). On arrive bien à la liste des produits disponibles dans les rayons, mais il est impossible d'en sélectionner un (ça fait faire des économies). Mais Netscape 7.0.1 le permet. Aucun n'affiche correctement la colonne de gauche du site http://www.grandlyon.com/instit/index.htm (alors que,évidemment, IE le fait parfaitement) En effet, c'est pas genial tout ca. Je ne veut pas voir mon mail relancer encore une autre discussion sterile sur les sites web qui ne testent leurs pages qu'avec IE, alors je me tais. La différence entre tous ces navigateurs, c'est quand même pas simplement l'esthétique ? si ? Comment faire un choix pour quelqu'un qui ne comprend pas grand chose à l'anglais et que les listes de nouveautés de chaque version laisse dubitatif ? De mon côté (et après avoir fait les modifs ds /etc/shorewall/policy , que tu as indiquées) , quand j'active shorewall au démarrage ds mcc--Système--Services , je ne peux + aller sur aucun site (accès refusé) . Que faut-il faire en + ? . Ayant le même problème, j'attendais la suite de cette discussion. Je suppose que vous l'avez continuée en privé. Pour ma part, à la première installation de mdk 9.0, shorewall m'interdisait l'accès à tous les sites et à mes mails. Après avoir essayé pas mal de choses, j'ai finalement réinstallé mdk 9.0 sans shorewall. Néanmoins, s'il y avait une solution pour réinstaller shorewall et que ça marche, je serai preneur. Mais je n'ose pas me lancer sans conseils: je n'ai pas envie de devoir réinstaller mdk encore une fois, ce qui implique tout reconfigurer. Ayant finalement installe 9.0 pendant le weekend, j'ai goute a Shorewall :-( L'impression que j'ai retire de cette douloureuse experience est que Shorewall a l'air bien concu et facile a utiliser, mais qu'il a ete mal installe configure sous Mandrake. J'ai eu droit aux probleme du bloquage de ma connection, j'ai finalement resolu cela en telechargeant les fichiers de configuration sur le site de Shorewall, ca marche presque bien. J'ai encore un probleme, quand je vais sur www.grc.com pour verifer le bon fonctionnement de mon parefeu il m'indique que les ports utilises par RPC et IDENT sont 'fermes' plutot que 'caches', alors que je prefererai que ma connection soit entierement cachee. Bonjour, Est-ce que l'importation de Fichier outlook (du boulot) est une opération triviale et prise en charge au travers des différents utilitaires, softs sous linux (/home ;op) ? Avec Mozilla ou autre soft ???!!! Je dois rapatrier des .pst. Beaucoup de sueur et de sang dans mon cas. Finalement j'ai reussi en installant Outlook sur ma partition windows (et pas O. Express, qui est un produit totalement different), avec Mozilla/Win32 j'ai importes les mails, ensuite j'ai importe les mails Mozilla dans Kmail. Je n'ai pas essaye avec Evolution, donc je ne peux pas faire de commentaires la-dessus. Merci a toutes les personnes qui m'ont proposes des solutions, finalement j'ai procede de cette facon: J'ai demarre Nero (logiciel de gravure sous Windows) et j'ai copie les 3 CDs de Mandrake a la vitesse de lecture 1x sur des CDs vierges white-top (sans marque). Resultat: les copies marchent parfaitement. Ce resultat qui parait contre-intuitif est en fait facile a expliquer: la lecture d'un CD a haute vitesse amplifie tous les defauts de fabrication du lecteur et/ou du CD (penser aux forces centrifuges et aux vibrations). Donc en lisant le CD a vitesse 1x plutot qu'a 24x, j'ai reduit les erreurs de lecture a zero, ensuite je peux graver sur un CD vierge qui lui est mechaniquement irreprochable. Un probleme similaire a ete aborde recemment sur une autre liste que je recois (je crois que c'etait Mandrake-newbie), ou les vitesses de gravure elevees des nouveaux graveurs posaient des problemes au CDs vierges economiques. Comment fait tu pour avoir un CD mechaniquement irreprochable ? J'achete un lot de 50 CDs vierge, au bout de 35 CDs graves sans histoires je declare le lot mecaniquement irreprochable ;-) Tu dois juste faire attention au CD vierge produit blanc qui n'ont pas de surface solide (fine pellicule sur le dessus). C'est vrai les CDs vierge pas chers sont sensibles aux rayures. Quand c'est important (eg. des backups ou des CDs audios que je desire garder longtemps) j'utilise des TDKs. 1° ce qu'on appelle une force centrifuge n'existe pas : c'est un effet d'inertie. Je suis ingenieur, pas scientifique, et je me contente d'approximations, y compris dans mon language :-) 2° le polycarbonate (PC) dont est fait ton CD a des propriétés mechaniques qui font que tu ne peux le déformer facilement (je ne rentrerais pas dans les détails. Alors je te vois mal déformer ton disque en le tournant ... J'arrive a deformer un CD avec mes doigts... Ok, reponse plus serieuse: debarquons dans mon monde, celui de l'ingenieur, ou tout est sale, approximatif, et inclu toujours une marge d'erreur. Dans ce monde, un CD va se deformer des qu'il tourne, l'axe du lecteur va se deformer, le moteur va chauffer, la chaleur va se transmettre au reste du lecteur et deformer tout l'appareil. Bon j'arrete la! Tous ces facteurs peuvent influencer la fiabilite d'un lecteur, car vu les tolerances tres fines sur la disposition et la taille des pits sur un CD, il suffit de tres peu pour avoir des erreurs de lecture. Une etiquette collee sur un CD suffit. Quand je dis que le CD se deforme dans le lecteur, je ne dis pas qu'il se pli en deux. Une vibration microscopique du CD peut suffir a approcher suffisament le CD de la tete de lecture pour faire la difference entre un pit et un pas-pit. Par contre as tu considéré le fait qu'avec la vitesse de rotation de ton disque tu laisse peu de temps a ton laser pour graver tes pits a la surface ... (plus vite - moins de temps (qualité du graveur ...)) Et le fait aussi que pour réduire les couts de production la qualité de la couche à bruler varie bcp engendrant des imprécisions sur la taille des trous binaires que tu fais ... Bonjour a tous, Pendant le weekend j'ai essaye d'installer Mandrake 9.0 avec les CDs qui sont (finallement) arrives. Un desastre total! L'installation plante immediatement, j'ai un mauvais pressentiment, alors je repasse sous LM8.2, et j'essaye de lire les pages HTML que Mandrake met sur son premier CD. Les pages sont totalement corrompues, illisibles. La, j'ai envie de hurler de rage. Je m'explique: - les CDs de MandrakeStore sont illisibles avec mon graveur Aopen. - Je n'ai jamais eu de problemes pour lire d'autres CDs avec mon graveur (sauf bien des CDs rayes ou endommages!). - Je n'ai jamais eu de problemes pour lire des CDs Mandrake provenant d'autres sources (eg. couverture de magazine). - La meme mesaventure m'est arrive avec LM8.1 que j'avais commande a MandrakeStore, finalement j'ai installe sans problemes a partir de CDs copies par un ami. La conclusion qui s'impose: a deux reprises j'ai commande des CDs a MandrakeStore, a chaque fois ils sont illisibles. Je vais renvoyer ces CDs a Mandrake et demander remboursement, mais avant de le faire je suis curieux de savoir si ce probleme m'est unique ou si d'autres personnes ont connus la meme mesaventure. Bonjour Ma config rame Duron 533 mhz 64 mega de ram mdk 9.0 swap 64 Mo gnome2 Voila qd j'ouvre une fenetre de galeon, evolution, pam, emac et une ou 2 fenetre de console mon disque dur n'arrete pas de crachoter. Et je ne peux srictement rien faire, pas moyen de tuer qques processus pour soulager la bete... 1) Est-ce que ca vous parait normal? Bon si c normal je fermerais les applications au fur et a mesure 2) Est-ce qu'il y a qques chose a faire pour ameliorer ma config? (je parle pas de modification materiel) Merci Une fois que Linux n'a plus de place ni en memoire ni sur la partition swap pour toutes les applications, les choses se passent tres mal :-P Je suis passe par la une fois quand j'avais oublie d'activer la partition swap :-( Quelques idees: 1/ Augmente la taille de la partition Swap. J'irais jusqu'a 256Mo si ton disque dur n'est pas minuscule. 2/ Ajoute de la RAM. Linux est gourmand en memoire, plus que Windows. Personnellement j'ai 256Mo et je n'utilise presque jamais la partition swap. Je sais, tu prefere de pas changer ta config materielle, mais vu le prix d'une barrette RAM... :-) 3/ Choisi des applications moins gourmandes. J'utilise Fluxbox plutot que Gnome, par exemple, c'est nettement plus econome en memoire. Je me pose quelques questions au sujet de Palladium. Par exemple, si je comprends bien, Palladium presuppose que TOUS les PCs seront connectes a l'internet. Dans une usine il est courant d'employer un PC pour controller une unite de fabrication. Si je comprends Palladium, on ne pourra charger un fichier texte contenant des commandes pour piloter cette unite QUE si le PC est sur reseau? J'ai en tete l'image d'un robot de soudure chez Renault controlle par un PC. Ce PC est depuis 30 secondes a la merci de %hackboy qui vient d'installer un serveur FTP dessus pour echanger des DivX avec ses potes $$coolmachine et CloneAttackzzz. Et pan dans l'oeil pour l'ouvrier qui passait a cote du robot. Avouez que c'est ridicule! Il y aura toujours un marche LEGAL et NECESSAIRE pour des PC independent de l'internet, donc de Palladium. Bon peut-etre que je n'ai rien compris a Palladium, si quelqu'un veut me corriger j'ecouterais volontiers! On a la un produit tres simple a installer, facile a utiliser pour quiconque connait Explorer/Outlook, au look fini et soigne, et qui en plus resoud le probleme de securite informatique le plus connu du grand public: les virus Outlook. Le premier PC sur lequel j'ai installe Mozilla etait celui de mes parents. Je ne leur ai pas fait un discours sur la croisade du Logiciel Libre ou sur Bilou le Borg. Je leur ai dit: voila, ca c'est Mozilla, c'est pareil que Explorer plus Outlook, sauf que c'est 1000 fois plus sur. Affaire conclue, et voila un PC qui cri bien fort chaque fois qu'il se connecte a un site web: Mozilla v1.0. Dorenavant, si une personne que je connais se plaint des m d'Explorer/Outlook, je vais chez eux avec Mozilla sur un CD, on installe, j'explique les petits trucs simples mais genials comme l'option ne pas charger les images ne provenant pas de ce serveur, ou celle pour mettre les pop-ups en *retrait* de la page visitee. C'est tout bete, mais ca marque les esprits. Pour revenir a la guerre contre Microsoft, avant de prendre Berlin il faut d'abord un Stalingrad. Mozilla est - a mon avis - le logiciel Libre grand public le plus fini qui soit. Outlook, c'est un maillon faible de Microsoft. Si Microsoft se plante la, ca sera la premiere fois qu'ils perdent un marche ou ils ont un monopole de fait. Ca sera un Stalingrad, quoi. C'est a chacun de choisir la forme de son combat. Je voulais simplement donner mon avis, qui est que la revolution du logiciel libre, c'est la revolution du PARTAGE - on partage les meilleurs logiciels du marche, librement, sans contraintes. Bonjour. Je me suis abonné aussi à la liste OpenOffice et j'aimerais trier le courrier entrant. J'ai donc créé 2 dossiers (j'aurais préféré des sous-dossiers de Boîte de réception) Mandrake et Openoffice et j'ai coché la case de gestion d'une liste de diffusion. Comme cela ne marchait pas j'ai créé deux filtres avec comme critères from. Cela ne fonctionne toujours pas même si je sélectionne les courriels reçus et que je fais appliquer les filtres. L'aide est en anglais et j'ai du mal. Merci pour votre aide, Sylvain. C'est pas toujours facile de filtrer en effet. On ne peut pas filtrer sur le from, vu que ca contient le nom de la personne qui envoie le mail. On ne peut pas non plus utiliser le to; il contient en general [EMAIL PROTECTED]... mais pas toujours! Example: un mail vient d'arriver ici avec To: listes diffusion mandrake linux. Le + simple c'est de mettre en place un filtre qui cherche [debutant] dans la ligne de sujet. Une autre solution consiste a regarder l'en-tete des emails et a chercher une ligne qui identifie les emails de cette liste; j'ai remarque la ligne: Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] qui pourrait convenir, ensuite on peut creer un filtre kmail qui cherche cette ligne dans l'en-tete. Bonjour, Je suis en train d'ecrire un script pour graver rapidement un fichier ou un repertoire sans avoir a passer par un gros logiciel genre xcdroast. J'ai presque fini, il me manque deux details: 1/ ok, j'arrive a detecter si il y a un CD dans le graveur, ensuite comment est-ce que je fais pour savoir si il y une ou plusieures pistes deja gravees ou si le CD est vierge? 2/ Avant de graver, je veux verifier si il y a assez de place restante sur le CD. Salut les mdkpingus Simple question, car j'ai été confronté à un blème. Est-il possible de booter sur un CDRW ? J'ai gravé un double de ma distrib sur des cdrw et il m'est impossible de booter sur le 1er CD. Pourtant je suis parti d'une image iso pour réaliser le cd. Peut être est-ce normal ? Qu'en pensez-vous ? Une disquette bootable suffirait-elle alors pour ce cas précis ? a+ nono Chez moi ca marche, j'ai un CDRW boot-able avec PartImage dessus. Comment as tu grave le CD d'installation? J'ai cree mon CD avec mkisofs/cdrecord et j'ai specifie des options specifiques pour creer un CD boot, je crois bien que Nero (par exemple) aussi a une case a cocher pour creer un CD boot-able. Ca marche parfaitement. Par contre, le linux inclu sur le CD est tres timoree dans son utilisation du disque dur. Ca rame... solution: un peu de hdparm. voilà, j'ai des fechiers a installer de type tar.gz et je ne sais pas comment Des fechiers? Erreur de frappe anodine, ou lapsus revelateur? ;-) Au fait, ce fichier il sert a quoi? Je pose la question parceque quand j'ai commence dans le monde Linux j'ai telecharge un peu partout des fichiers tar.gz que j'essayais ensuite de compiler par moi-meme. J'ai vite decouvert qu'un RPM est mille fois plus facile a installer. Si le programme que tu cherches a installer existe aussi en RPM je te conseille vivement cette voie. Hello à tous, Une de mes machines fait office de serveur Samba (et ne fait rien d'autre). Elle gère donc 5 disques par le bias de 256 Mo dfe mémoire avec un Céléron 433. D'accord ce n'est pas une bombe mais cela me semble suffisant pour du Samba tout de même. D'autant qu'X Windows n'est pas lancé puisque cette machine est piloté à distance par SSH. Malgré cela quand je fais un top après quelques heures d'utilisation, au moins 90% de la mémoire est utilisée et dans les 10% du swap. Ma question est : connaissez vous une commande qui me permettrait de libérer de la mémoire, que j'aille mettre ça dans un Cron ensuite :o) ET si quelqu'un a une idée sur le pourquoi de cette gourmandise en mémoire, il est le bienvenue. :o) Merci beaucoup par avance. la date de creation de un/plusieurs fichiers dans un repertoire. 'man touch'
te donnera toutes les options de cette commande.
