Since mail servers are so critical to people's infrastructure, we work extremely hard to make a stable release with no issues that are going to bite you. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] SmarterMail 3.0
This is their canned statement. I sent SmarterTools sales and email a couple of weeks ago and received this exact answer. I was also told that the target is before the end of the year. Watch out. Only 1/5th of the class A belongs to the spammers in question, and there is plenty of legitimate activity elsewhere on that block. Matt IS - Systems Eng. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] does anyone punish email from these folks?
I have been blocking almost all of their space since October. I had left some of it out due to the potential of false positives on legitimate hosted business, but another look at Senderbase shows that this is probably not worth being concerned about any more as the blocks have filled in with spammers. If I am not mistaken, this is the notorious Wholesale Bandwidth operation renamed to Wholesale Internet, that formerly lead SBL's top spam hosts. [Declude.JunkMail] Speaking of punishment....
We’ve been getting a LOT of emails from 9 particular IP’s, I’m talking about 60-70% of incoming. Nothing but 30+ recipient emails, with non-existent email addresses on our domain. The majority of them don’t even have one valid address on my domain. It’s all getting caught in our filters and deleted, but it was getting so obscene that I just blocked them on the firewall. My logs dropped from 23 meg a day to only 5. Is anyone else seeing this type of traffic lately ? 65.97.165.47 68.59.144.144 67.78.242.210 69.144.163.243 70.151.165.226 71.41.40.68 71.53.128.235 208.60.45.2 216.116.178.157 Karl Drugge B.S.I.T., A.S., M.C.S.E. [Declude.JunkMail] copy to action
Hi, We want to keep track of all mail from our students to the staff and vice versa. All mail where the sender is part of student.tio.nl and any one of the recipients (To, CC or BCC) is in tio.nl then a copy needs to be sent to a special mailbox [EMAIL PROTECTED] The same for mail coming from tio.nl where any recipient is in student.tio.nl needs to be sent to another special mailbox, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Of course the copied mail by the action itself should not be copied to that mailbox, otherwise I'll have a nice loop. :-( Of course I don't want spam to be copied, define spam as any mail that meets my deleteweight (SPAMDELETE tag). Of course I don't want virsses to be copied (but I'm using Declude Virus and AVAFTERJM is nowhere in my configs). How do I set this up? I'll probably need JunkmailPro (I've got Junkmail Standard) or can I do this with standard IMail (v8.22) rules? p.s. Still using Declude 2.06 but I'll switch to 3.x when I'll upgrade my mailserver to IMail 9 next year. I could upgrade Declude to 3.x if needed.
