[Bug 122757] Re: Blank icon just idles
It is difficult to reproduce, and I wouldn't know how other than to simply wait until it happens again so that I can grab a screenshot. I will use the "report a problem" feature then as well. I am still having this problem as of Gutsy. Since iPods are so commonplace, it seems like it would be best to either 1) get this fixed somehow or 2) include an alternate solution for iPod support in the default distribution. -- [feisty] deleting a song from the ipod only updates the database https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/96669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Mouse over the icon for this image, and pressing the right mouse button to get the dropdown menu, press the "Write to disc" option with the left mouse button. 3. Insert a disk into the drive and quickly hit the "Write" button on the popup window. My results: You will notice that a popup window will result instructing you to insert a disk in the drive. Hit the button, and the same popup will occur again. Until the disk has revved up, this popup window will reproduce. Expected results: 1. At best, the program should discern that the drive is revving up, and not prompt the user unless something is wrong. 2. At worst, if the drive or device driver doesn't have the ability to give better information, the popup window should not immediately come up, but should at least pause long enough to give the result of the users disk insertion time to process. Now it could be that this is just results on my two machines on Feisty and Gutsy, but I don't think so. Apparently there have been problems reproducing this, but I find it completely consistent. I also recommend trying older slower drives that take a while to come up to speed after insertion of the CD. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). Hello Justin, Yes, I've kept up with the updates and it's still happening. [Bug 122637] Re: notification-daemon crashed with signal 5 in g_logv()
The gdk_x_error seems to be just another error message logger, the bug seems to lay between notify_daemon_notify_handler and a call to XGetWindowProperty. Thanks, Bruce! If it makes you want to fix this bug, then perhaps "all this moaning" was not so wrong! Sound-Juicer is the standard application for ripping CDs to MP3 players, and just that does not work! [Bug 118348] Re: Gnome-session crash
No, I don't think it's the same issue: The icons do not reach the border of the splash image, and in my case the splash screen *does* disappear, the session crashes afterwards... I actually just noticed that the crash does not only depend on the splash image from blubuntu-session-splashes, but also on the use of the ubuntustudio-theme. I.e.: Only combining the two leads to the crash, if I exchange the splash screen with the ubuntustudio splash screen it works. If I stay with the blubuntu splash screen but change the theme to the SphereCrystal theme it works as well...
