[Bug 641670] [NEW] GTK widgets are themed wrong in some applications
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon Ok, i am experiencing the strangest thing. When i go and run my app called Pytask (http://launchpad.net/pytask) it seems to theme itself wrong, and so going by a process of elimination, I've discovered that it isn't Pytask that is the problem since i tried reverting back to an earlier revision (from months ago) and running it again, which reproduced the bug. I also confirmed that it is reproducible on other maverick installs, not just mine, so it is not unique to my exact maverick install. Confirmed in Maverick. [Bug 613869] Re: Message with an option not clear when there is a low battery warning
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: There is a dialog box with this message: Laptop battery critically low Computer will hibernate very soon unless it is plugged in. CANCEL - OK Please see attached image. The message says that the computer will hibernate ... UNLESS it is plugged in. So there is nothing that can be done to prevent hibernation (unless plug in the computer) but I have two choices: CANCEL or OK. I wonder whats happends if I press CANCEL. What I am cancelling if I press Cancel? Cancel option should be given when you can cancel an ongoing process, but it seems here there is nothing to cancel now. There are two possible solutions to this: 1) Remove Cancel button in case it is useless. 2) If Cancel in fact cancel the hibernation, the message should be rephrased to something like this Computer will hibernate very soon unless it is plugged in or canceled. It would also help to change the label from Cancel to Cancel the hibernation (so it will be clear what you are cancelling to). + --- + Architecture: i386 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 + GnomeSessionIdleInhibited: No + GnomeSessionInhibitors: None + GnomeSessionSuspendInhibited: No + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx - Release i386 (20100427.1) + MachineType: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-N033 + Package: gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 + PackageArchitecture: i386 + ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-24-generic root=UUID=5cffc009-1bca-4d1e-8274-062fc6be6fdd ro quiet splash + ProcEnviron: + LANG=en_US.utf8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-24.42-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 + Tags: lucid + Uname: Linux 2.6.32-24-generic i686 + UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare + dmi.bios.date: 04/24/2009 + dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. + dmi.bios.version: 4.6.3 + dmi.board.asset.tag: To be filled by O.E.M. + dmi.board.name: U-100 + dmi.board.vendor: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD + dmi.board.version: Ver.001 + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: To Be Filled By O.E.M. + dmi.chassis.type: 3 + dmi.chassis.vendor: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD + dmi.chassis.version: Ver.001 + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr4.6.3:bd04/24/2009:svnMICRO-STARINTERNATIONALCO.,LTD:pnMS-N033:pvrVer.001:rvnMICRO-STARINTERNATIONALCO.,LTD:rnU-100:rvrVer.001:cvnMICRO-STARINTERNATIONALCO.,LTD:ct3:cvrVer.001: + dmi.product.name: MS-N033 + dmi.product.version: Ver.001 + dmi.sys.vendor: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD ** Attachment added: BootDmesg.txt https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/613869/+attachment/1600149/+files/BootDmesg.txt -- Message with an option not clear when there is a low battery warning https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/613869 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 575846] Re: can't mount usb key when rhythmbox is working
I also had a similar problem after changing my motherboard: my USB wifi dongle was disconnected after an error message related to rhythmbox (in dmesg: usb 2-1.1: usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed cmd rhythmbox rqt 128 rq 6 len 255 ret -71). I was able to reconnect by unplugging / replugging it. Disabling the MTP plugin was a permanent solution.
