The stack trace is a little different. It will be interesting to see if we have anything like the same quantity of this crash as bug 1877075. I think crashes like this can still happen if a graphics driver or gnome-shell extension is making Xlib calls from a thread. We won't get away from that until/unless we find the offending thread. And the offending call might have happened a little earlier than the actual crash (which seems to be in the correct main thread). I wouldn't know whether it a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gsmartcontrol/+bug/1873546, because it concerns two different utilities. [Bug 1886075] [NEW] feature request: using mouse wheel like in XFce
Public bug reported: Hello, this is not a BUG, rather a feature request, which possibly shall be placed elsewhere (where?) I'm used to very useful behavior from XFce and that is hovering over various icons in system bars and using the wheel actually performs actions immediately like e.g.: 1) in/decreasing volume while on sound icon 2) switching app windows while on app icon - would be extreme useful here in GNOME since more apps windows are already marked by small dots sou user is very aware that there are more windows... [Bug 1883457] Re: Thumbnails for .xcf files only show in Gimp ( snap ) and nowhere else.
Okay… differently worded : is it normal thumbnails generated by a snap-app ( and therefore stored somewhere under ~/snap/… ) can't be then used by file explorer or pictures viewer ? It's a regression between same app-as-deb and app-as-snap. [Bug 1884326] Re: SRU the current 2.48.7 stable update
Hey Łukasz, that's a good point. Those are not public symbols, they are part of the implementation- specific layer of librsvg (all symbols named "rsvg_rust_*" fall in this category). Neither the C headers nor the GObject introspection and Vala vapi files installed by librsvg2-dev expose them. The symbols are exported in the so file though, so there is a very slim chance that they might be used in the wild. However according to http://codesearch.debian.net/ they are not used in Debian, and Google doesn't return any meaningful reference in third-party code either, so this looks quite safe to me. This is not the first time something like this happens in the librsvg Debian package without a soname bump, FWIW: https://salsa.debian.org /gnome-team/librsvg/-/commit/8c692609c3bba7d70bb269082a2e3b16f2f19007. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to librsvg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1884326 Title: SRU the current 2.48.7 stable update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/librsvg/+bug/1884326/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1885313] Re: evince crashes when opening rfc8798.pdf
The tested snaps indeed use the same libpoppler version as found in 18.04. I have created a 20.04 boot medium and tested evince using the "try Ubuntu without installation". This did indeed work, so I stand corrected that the bug is fixed in current Ubuntu releases. The evince version in 20.04 is 3.36.0 (older than the latest/candidate snap), libpoppler and poppler-utils are version 0.86.1 (newer than in the snaps, or in Debian). So this does look like a poppler rather than evince problem. @seb128 just checking to make sure that your not waiting for something on my end. If I understand it correctly it looks like Focal is done since you re-ran the systemd test and now all tests have passed, and I verified that the fix worked. Should the tag be updated to verification-done-focal? I’m guessing that the Xenial and Bionic fixes are waiting on the glib-networking testing certificate updates we talked about a few days ago.
