[Bug 232340] Re: CaCert Certificates not installed
The important issue is not who Mozilla trusts, but who the user trusts. The issue also doesn't solely apply to the class 1 root certificate but also to the class 3 server certificate used by mail servers. There are a substantial set of users who use (often their own) mail servers that use certificates signed by CAcert class 3 certificate. Any application should have easy was to add a CA which the user trusts, totally independent of the situation wrt CAcert, which is also a reason why I do not believe that reopening this particular bug is the right thing to do. The correct thing would be to request an easy way for a user to manage her CA's for her applications. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/232340 Title: CaCert Certificates not installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evolution/+bug/232340/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 232340] Re: CaCert Certificates not installed
I can confirm that this issue still exists in Evolution 3.2.3 provided by 12.04 LTS But I don't want to reopen this issue /in Evolution/ ... at least not quite yet, as I'm not sure it belongs here (or not just here). I believe the correct approach would be to have an application like seahorse manage the CA's that a user trusts and then have other applications like Evolution, Thunderbird, Firefox, Epiphany, ... defer to gnome-keyring to verify the key's and CA's that a user trusts. I'm uncertain whether gnome-key or seahorse have any support for CA's and I fear that most CA handling is within each application as is the case for Evolution. Hello Dawid, I just tried the number you posted on 12.04 and it indeed accepted the DTMF dial tone and I heard the message to activate some card in English. But I also called my own mailbox to press a few numbers and listen to it later. The quality was not overwhelming and I could imagine that some systems could have issues. Indeed... if I set the video device in virt-manager from cirrus to vmvga I am able to select higher screen resolutions within the vm. I'm testing this in VM with a maximum resolution is 1024x768 yet it seems Evolutions main Window cannot be sized narrow enough to fit into the screen. I thought this could be relevant. The effect of maximizing is that the Window decorations are removed (i.e. the menu is placed into the global menu together with the close/minimize/maximize button but the rest of the content remains where it was before pressing the maximize button. This does not happen on higher resolutions on a USB installation of Oneiric that I have. But reducing the screen size here to 1024x768 doesn't have the same affect. [Bug 702148] [NEW] Please suggest adding sender's email to mails only containing BCC recipients
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution This is a feature request. Some versions of Outlook misinterpret mails with only BCC recipients. I'm not sure that this bug is correctly associated with gst0.10-python. I've got a Lucid i386 Host (this system came pre-installed with Feisty I believe and still has some apps / configurations that I can't easily reinstall under x64, so I've been upgrading since.) I've got libvirt/virt-manager installed. As guests have a variety of systems available but I suppose the easiest to deal with is another Lucid i386 installation, (this one fresh from a release image and updated to current packages). Sound is working fine on the host. I've configured an ac97 sound card (but also tested es1370) in the VM. The volume control in the VM seems to indicate that that it recognizes the virtual card. But sound is not being passed through. I will run the apport-collect -p alsa-base 572176 for the VM, but I assume that this may be a KVM/libvirt issue more that an gstreamer issue. -- sound not working on virtual machine https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gst0.10-python in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
