[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1971418] Re: network-manager/1.36.4-2ubuntu1 ADT test failure with linux/5.15.0-28.29
To reproduce this issue, the following can be done: 1. Create a jammy autopkgtest image via: autopkgtest-buildvm-cloud-ubuntu -r jammy 2. Install the 5.15.0-27-29+rfkill2 headers, modules, and unsigned image from https://launchpad.net/~ztahenakos/+archive/ubuntu/zt-test-kernels/+build/23733020 into the image. 3. Run the network-manager autopkgtest The kernel in step 2 is Jammy linux 5.15.0-27.28 with upstream 54f586a9153201 (rfkill: make new event layout opt-in) added on top. Based on comments in include/uapi/linux/rfkill.h, userspace changes may be necessary in order for correct communication with rfkill to work, otherwise we may start to see more failures in rfkill based tests or usage. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1971418 Title: network-manager/1.36.4-2ubuntu1 ADT test failure with linux/5.15.0-28.29 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in urfkill package in Ubuntu: New Status in linux source package in Jammy: Fix Committed Status in network-manager source package in Jammy: Invalid Status in urfkill source package in Jammy: New Bug description: This is a scripted bug report about ADT failures while running network-manager tests for linux/5.15.0-28.29 on jammy. Public bug reported: Ubuntu Version: 16.10 and 17.04 gnome-screensaver: 3.6.1-7ubuntu5 Expected Functionality: I expect to be able to interact with the top menu bar from the lock screen in a multi-screen setup. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 505765] Re: gedit problem with long lines
Hello, here is a bit of update of what Morgane reported, it seems that there are specific characters with which you can reproduce this bug like "(", "[", "{", "$", "\" ... (there may be others). When those are followed by a lot of space chars the cursor position on the screen and the position it seems to be on, aren't the same. Furthermore if you try to delete the last character you end up deleting characters that are above the cursor and the cursor itself isn't moving from its position. We explored Gedit's source code and we doubt that this is a Gtk issue. We posted a message on Gtk's bugzilla to ask them if they can confirm it is related or not. If anyone has any updates to make let us know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505765 Title: gedit problem with long lines Status in Light-Weight Text Editor for Gnome: Confirmed Status in One Hundred Papercuts: Triaged Status in gedit package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: gedit Hi, I was editing a text file when the cursor began to behave strangely. The file contained these lines: CREATE TABLE people( integer primary key, name varchar(50), age integer ) When I put the cursor after the 'l' in 'people', the arrow key would not move the cursor to the right. Instead it jumped to the next line. Similarly, I could not add text at this position. Viewing the file in a hex editor revealed a lot of spaces (284 to be accurate) after the opening parenthesis. Probably I've added those spaces without knowing it (resting my book "beginning Ruby" on the space bar ^ ^). Still, I feel the editor should handle a few hundred chars on a line without misbehaviour. I attached a copy of the text file. Thanks for developing and maintaining this simple but useful editor! Actual behavior: When I attempt to copy either podcasts or music to the iPod using Rhythmbox, the file is moved to a subdirectory of /iPod_Control/Music as expected, but after ejecting the iPod, the onboard interface does not report that the file has been transferred. That is, the iPod reports that it has 0 podcasts and 0 songs, then I drag a podcast onto the iPod in rhythmbox, and, although the file has been copied, the iPod continues to report that it has 0 Podcasts and 0 songs .
