11 November 2014 —Apache CloudStack, the mature, turnkey Open Source cloud 
computing software platform used for creating private, public, and hybrid cloud 
environments, today announced Apache CloudMonkey v5.3.0, the latest feature 
release of its command line interface tool.

CloudMonkey is written in Python, and can be used both as an interactive shell 
and as a command line tool that simplifies CloudStack configuration and 
management.

Apache CloudMonkey v5.3.0 is the latest feature release of the 5.x line that 
was first released in September 2013. Some of the new features and changes 
include:

• Unicode support in CloudMonkey;
• Better autocompletion for API arguments, filter arguments and config options;
• Current server profile is displayed on the prompt;
• Changing server profile prints masked values of passwords and keys;
• New command line argument -d for display options such as default, json and 
table;
• New config option “verifysslcert” that enables/disables SSL certificate 
checking when making HTTP API calls;
• CloudMonkey outputs without color on terminal in non-interactive mode;
• Better error handling, errors written to stderr and non-zero exit codes in 
case of error;
• Several bugfixes related to networking, server profiles and unicode string 
handling;

As far as I'm aware we do not, and if we do they aren't being applied on UI
changes.
I recall a few years ago that the javascript was completely unindented and
a mess. I ran a beautifier over it and committed it.

of our CI but I'd be fairly certain there's going to be a bunch of initial
errors to clear up before its any use.

systemvmtemplate-4.4-2014-11-10-kvm.qcow2 from Jenkins.
Now this might not be a problem if the correct call from the code is done with 
the correct path, i.e. if this has been applied to 4.4.

I'm  flying in on Tuesday, so around all day Wednesday. It seems the tutorials 
are all at the same time on Wednesday, which is a shame in that I wanted to 
attend more than one, but will leave plenty of time for these sort of 
conversations.

I hate to ask this in case I'm stirring up a hornet's nest, but is there any 
value in discussing process things like branching, freezing, code review, 
automated testing, etc.? Or is it not going to be productive if it's going to 
have to come back to the mailing list and start again from square one anyway?

being used around frontend work I've recently been working on a
personal project[3] with gulp and integration with maven through
exec-maven-plugin and yeoman-maven-plugin[4]

It would allow us to pull external dependencies out of the code base and
pull then in during compile time(bower[5]). It would allow us to minify all
the javascript reducing page load times. It would allow for style checking
along with other things

It adds a huge dependency on NodeJS and NodeJS utilities though.

Sheng and he mentioned that a Stopped Router will not get automatically started

As a fix, I removed the stop command from setup() method

So, I just confirmed that once a properties file is generated for the
template that's being created that the template is not deleted when the CS
MS is re-started.

I checked in this fix to master:

5c388a5c8087d544ff89dccf20f8af88f8f73d1b

So, as it turns out, if anyone has created a template with the XenServer
6.2.5 resource code in releases prior to 4.6, that template will not be
usable if a management server gets restarted. Perhaps users could correct
such a problem by manually creating a properties file for that template.

I had disabled it for apache which runs on SSVM. I think it should not be a 
problem to use SSLv3 for internal components, but not for components/system VMs 
which may be public facing or provide public facing services.

Serious (ajax) GUI issues sometimes

Hi team,

is anybody of you aware of the GUI issues when connected to some i.e.
wireless with somewhat big latencies or it sometimes happen even on more
than good internet connection:

i.e:
1)
(A serious one, that we encounter pretty often):

Issue: I start new VM deloyment wizard, choose template etc at the end
when I click the finish, when the job should be sent to MGMT server -
simply nothing happens - so ajax does't get executed at all, no litle
circle spinning etc - no logs in mgmt server, simply ajax doesn't get
executed...Same behaviour sometimes happen when I click on "Configure" on
the VPC.

I confirmed behaviour in acs 4.3.0 and I'm still checking in 4.4.1.

OR

2)
(not a big issue, however very annoying):
I filter instances by some account/domain, then click on some instance
(view it's properties or whatever), than in the breadcrumb I click back on
"instances", and instead of being show the page with all the filtered
instances, I get back to the home page of ACS...

So it doesn't really happens always, but randomly, with different browsers,
clearing all cache etc...
The issue here is that nothing get's logged to MGMT log at all...

Please let me know if anybody get similar issues, or if this is something
on my side...
