Re: [DISCUSS] When Release 0.10.0

2020-02-20 Thread Xin Wang
Hi Xiangdong,

I see you mentioned distributed version of IoTDB.
In my opinion, distributed capability is very important for the use of
production environment, especially in the case of large amount of data,
which should also be one of the focuses of the next phase of our project.

Re: [DISCUSS] wiki document structure

2020-03-24 Thread Xin Wang
Possible structure:

*Community*
 - how to contribute
 - how to release
 - how to invite new PPMC & Committer (templates for nominating)
 - powered by
 - versioning policy

*Design Documents*

*Ecosystem*
 - official connectors
 - third party projects

*Weekly report*
 - 2020.03.23~2020.03.30

Others could be put on the website.

[DISCUSS] Move connectors to separate directories

2020-05-12 Thread Xin Wang
Hi devs,

Currently, IoTDB provides a lot of built-in connectors. For better
management, how about putting these connectors in a/some separate
directory(s)
(maybe `connectors`, or
`iotdb-connectors/tsfile-connectors/other-connectors`).

Look forward to your reply.

Current connectors:
  - iotdb connectors: spark, flink
  - tsfile connectors: hadoop, hive, spark, flink
  - other connectors: grafana, calcite

Here is a suggestion. If a change is identified as a large or controversial
change. It might require an Improvement Proposal(refer to FLIP*1), and a
discussion on the dev mailing list to reach agreement and consensus.
