Hi Oliver,
Olivier Hallot wrote:

Hi Ivo
The BrOffice build for linux is not in rpm format, but pure targz. Even
uncompacting it and invoking soffice, I get
[Java framework] Error in function createSettingsDocument
(elements.cxx).javaldx failed!

and soffice complains: unable to start application, an error ocurred.

For me it occurs when I install in /opt/, if I copy the files to my
home, it's ok.

Kind regards
Sophie

May be the rpm scripts are needed to finish the installation.

Thanks
Olivier

Re: [l10n-dev] How do we handle L10N in the OOoWiki?

2008-08-14 Thread ccornell - OpenOffice.org

Can anyone summarize discussion so far on How do we handle L10N in
the OOoWiki? and give us some idea what the best practice of using
the wiki?

I think this is the best to read:
http://l10n.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=devmsgNo=9607

We really need to organize our Japanese contents on the wiki :)

:-)

So Japanese pages should start with
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/JP/

There you can make further devisions if you like.

If anyone needs any assistance with organization, the WikiBot is
available. The WikiBot can be used to bulk move pages - this is helpful
if there are a lot of pages you would like to have shuffled to new
locations etc.

Re: [l10n-dev] pootle suggestions:

 Hi all,

I think it will be nice if we have the following features in pootle(
 sunvirtual.com )

 1. When translating online with pootle, after finishing a msgstr, we
 usually want to submit it
and go to the next msgstr. So, by pressing the Tab key in the
 msgstr textbox, they Submit
 button should be focused.
 http://www.flickr.com/photos/vuhung/2721657230/sizes/o/

 2. Find and go to the first fuzzy in a file

 3. Find and go to the first untranslated msgstr in a file

 4. Free keyword search( regex search will be nice too ) under a folder.

 Happy translating.

Hallo

I'm moving this discussion to the tools mailing list - the preferred
place for discussion localisation tools. Really, since these are just
Pootle issues, it could even be better suited on the Pootle mailing
list:
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/translate-pootle

Luckily, it seems that all your wishes are already granted :-)

1) - You can use the accesskey 's' in your browser. The exact way to
activate them are different between browsers. This way you don't need to
use Tab at all.

2)+3) If you click on Show Editing Functions (Hiện các chức năng
dịch) - Quick Translate (Dịch nhanh). This takes you to all the fuzzy
and untranslated entries. If you really want to look at _only_ the
fuzzy entries, click on Show Checks (Hiện kết quả kiểm tra) and search
for either isfuzzy or untranslated.

4) The current searching functionality is being discussed on the Pootle
mailing list. I suggest you join the conversation there. Currently we
can't yet do regular expressions inside Pootle, but it is planned.

Keep well
Friedel

Why some corrections that have been made in Pootle are not in this cws?
I'm currently verifying some issues and for example, those are not in
the cws where Pootle has the correction since the last L10nQa round:

http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91842
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91749
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=91843

In which cws will these corrections be integrated ?

Kind regards
Sophie

Anyone knows about fixes for errors found in this release?
I am not talking about strings not implemented (like Sophie or Nguyen Hung Vu)
but errors freshly discovered.

I already fixed them in Pootle, but I think this will be not enough.
Thanks!

the agreement from one of the last Release Status meetings was to have
the l10n CWS ready until today. As helpcontent2 takes quite a long time
to build and no showstopper in helpcontent2 was known to us, we decided
to skip this module in favor of a faster CWS build time. This refers to
#91842# and #91843#.

Thanks for your answer. This may be not a showstopper for some version,
but for the Vietnamese language who has whole pages in English, it's
different. The last meeting I attend it has been said that all what was
in Pootle until the 7th of August will be in 3.0.

(16:22:20) jj1: All corrections done until August 7th could be
integrated into the new l10n CWS to be created by Ivo for the fixes

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/ReleaseStatus_Minutes_2008-07-28_IRC_log

#91749# had a problem during the data import here. I will ask Ivo if he
can fix it on the CWS. Hopefully that is not problematic.

Ok, I've not checked all the issues open for my language, but this is
the question Paolo has asked, how do we proceed if we have issues in
this cws ?

Hi all,

I fixed i91749 in the cws localisation30. The cws is nominated now and
will be integrated today. I opened a new cws called localisation31 and
will merge there all helpcontent2 fixes. But I am not sure if this cws
will be integrated into the OOO300 code line as of lack of time. If
there is a real showstopper please raise your hand on the releases list
and discuss there if this cws needs to be integrated into the OOo 3.0
final. In the meantime I will prepare the cws

Cheers,
Ivo

Hi Olivier,

sorry for this. In the OOO300 m2 the new tar.gz packet format was
introduced but it looks like that the handling is not yet easy. I
expected that I created both , rpm and tar.gz but sadly the rpm's where
missing
