This packages have a problem. In openoffice.org/basis3.2/presets/config/
there are many files with a localisation like in "modern_en-US_as.sog"

I guess you have to remove most of the "en_US_".

Kind regards

I only made a build with the language "kid" and did not merged the
keyids in the real translations. You should see those keyids only in
the kid build.
My mistake. This dumb Dutchie on clumps downloaded the KID-file from
20100403 instead of the right one, the one of 20100406

My apologies for the inconvenience.

The ID's are visible now and they are indeed the earlier mentioned

Takaya Kubota asked for "new localized sdf" and I gave him a link to
"the localized sdfs of cws OOO321l10n". Even if I am not 100% sure if
this is what he asked for ...

Martin Srebotnjak wrote:

We do not use Pootle and I have my own system, so I only need the latest
English sdf file.

Usually the sdf for a milestone was available from the extended mirrors. For
the latest sdf it was not but you provided a special link to it (because the
sdf was not released in time).

So, is the final English sdf for 3.2.1 (m16?) ready and where is it
available? What is the deadline?

no it is not and I don't know the deadline. I guess the new milestone
will be ready next week

At this link I can see many national sdf files, including Slovenian, with
9.4.2010 dates, but I do not know, if the translation in Slovenian is 100%
or not or if there were any changes in strings compared to the sdf I posted

the slovenian file is exact the one you gave me for cws OOO321l10n ;)

Nothing to worry about here,

Hello,

I tried the Slovenian on Windows (from that sausage build with many

about the logos and new OOo look.

Has the official OOo logo changed? The one in the Windows installer's right
top corner and on the splash screen and on the welcome window uses a wider
font. I did not know anything about rebranding. Was that really necessary?
Now all the webpages, including all the localization teams sites must be
redesigned. I mean, who decides on these things, Hamburg, Oracle or the
community as a whole? Changing a logo of an application that resides on so
many desktops without letting the main community members know beforehand
about it - strange, not? At least there could be a vote or something between
several options. And the change is introduced with a minor release ...
Really strange.

Also the Oracle logo, which is graphically more readable than Sun's on the
old blue background design (now red on white), is even more present than the
(new) OOo logo (like in the splash screen - see where your eyes focus!).
Also the desktop link has a hint that ends "Supported by Oracle." It seems
that by downloading OOo official build you get also a big advertisment
machine for Oracle. This was also in previous builds, with Sun, so nothing
new here, but this graphically more explicit logo and white background make
my eyes really sore. Isn't this a bit over the top, couldn't it be for 15%
smaller? Remember, Oracle logo is longer than Sun's, so probably same height
was used, but that meant a wider space, which means a bigger area, a bigger
logo. So maybe a bit downsizing of the Oracle logo on all applications
should be applied. IMHO.

Has the official OOo logo changed? The one in the Windows installer's right
top corner and on the splash screen and on the welcome window uses a wider

Now all the webpages, including all the localization teams sites must be

2010-04-07 Thread Martin Srebotnjak
Hello again,

regarding the new design - on Windows I noticed that the Writer/Web exe/app
does not have an updated icon as the other apps, it still uses the old one
(a star on a stylized document with the seagulls).

Also, the new icons, especially the Writer one, does not look nice on the
standard XP quickstart bar, because it uses same blue color and it kind of
looks smaller and less noticeable than the other quickstart icons. In that
toolbar it looks like a balloon (dialogue-like) so it actually reminds of an
IM application and not a document editor.

I wish this new look would get more thorough testing before even deciding it
is the right one for this suite.
