Of course I have ;-)

The developer orientated OOo-Wiki can be found at

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page

There we (mainly Cristian Driga) started a sandbox for Art related
themes:

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org_Art_Project

In there we just have three pages

1. A To-Do-list with some kind of brainstorming:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoArt--Project_activities_planning

2. A (now quite finalized) draft on the OOo logo license:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoArt--OOo_logo_license

3. Tables that will contain all the artwork spread over Issuezilla
to sort it and update the Art Galleries afterwards:

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/List_of_Artwork_%28IZ%29

It's not really a lot, but a quite a good beginning, I think.

Best regards

Bernhard

Just because we haven't converted the draft into HTML ;-)

  an example:

  -General OOo 2.0

 Online:

 Offline:

all in different languages

 -theme2 (f.i.: tech-targetted)
 Online:
- [... banners / buttons / etc. in png / gif / flash...]

  - OOoCON 2006
 -theme1 (default)
 Online:
- [... banners / buttons / etc. in png / gif / flash...]
 Offline:
- [... flyers /brochures / posters ...]
   all in different languages

If it is possible/accepted, I can create a database to hold all these
items with all needed categories etc..., accessable trough a
webinterface. It could be integrated in existing sites or can we just
decide to have this as a tool for the art project?

Don't you think we can use the wiki in that way?

 I'm not John, but...

Why don't we use the DocumentFiles area for the material?
If we use the same hierarchical structure as the database / wiki
tables the material should be quite easy to be accessed.

And finally it should be included in the galleries...

I think that's what Jacqueline actually suggested we do. If I understand
you correctly, that's what I did with the logos until they were
officially approved.

And finally it should be included in the galleries...

Yup.

My apologies to everyone for not being more active in this. I am in the
process of starting up a new law firm, and that's kind of eaten into my
OOo addiction. Soon, I hope, I will be able to do more than just sit on
the sidelines. (I may try tweaking the style guide again.)

[Marketing] artwork database?

2006-01-24 Thread Steven Pauwels

Hi there,

It has been a few days since I joined some marketing mailing lists. Thxs
to the people who helped out.

Trying to find my way on the website and the wiki, I would like to
discuss the following:

- 'I can not find what I am looking for' seems to be the most common
problem when trying to get a view on OOo2 marketing material.

Can we do something about that?

I suggest to start with a definition of the different marketing
materials we could, should, would, need, want at our and other

Reading this over it seems pretty good to me but can you draft it on
a webpage? Do you have access on your site? If you like, I can give
you access on the website project, so we can see how it would look.
My only concern is maintaining the material--easier to do if we don't
use CVS...

John, opinions?

Steven
