It looks like that you are not using the latest snapshot and your tests

Yes, it _was_ a crossplatform bug.

the same for Mac and it is indeed the preferred way to build. But
nevertheless do we have to work on this in the future to get rid of
Mozilla. But there is still some work to do and currently it is not
obsolete.

compiler bug... I just reconfigured with --disable-mozilla for the
purpose of finishing the build. Is this something that should be

--- Additional Comments from Regina Henschel

With bug 122398 the start wizard has been reactivated. But the texts
has not
been adapted to the new situation under AOO.

The text in the first step is currently,
"Welcome to OpenOffice 4.0.0
This wizard will guide you through the license agreement, the transfer
of user
data from OpenOffice.org 3 and the registration of OpenOffice."

(1)
OpenOffice 4.0.0 --> Apache OpenOffice 4.0.0

(2)
There exist no license agreement.

(3)
There exist no registration.

(4)
The part 'User name' from the left side is not mentioned in the
introduction.

Screenshots of the current dialog are attached to bug 122398.

For me it is very disappointing to see this issue.

When I started my work on the user profile migration I requested help
for the change of this string here on dev@o.a.o and on users@o.a.o at
2013-05-28. Unfortunately, I did not get any help for the change of this
string.

When I reported on 2013-06-18 that I have finished my work I stated that
I did not change the string.

Now, approx. two weeks later issue 122657 has been submitted with
exactly the same concerns which I had raised at the end of May.

It seems that the stuff I am doing and writing does not get the right
attention here.

You are right to be disappointed. The problem disappeared from my view,
because I'm not the right person to write good English texts. But
indeed, I should have noticed earlier, that a new text is still missing.

Hi -- I LIKE these! Very nice. Modern.

I would just like to mention that a small "flat" orb icon in various sizes
might also be needed to replace the images that start with "main..." in:

http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/trunk/main/default_images/res/

This is used on (my) Linux system(s) for the main soffice component.

Having a dedicated issue is probably the right thing (even though at
this point, and considering it has already been outdated for a couple of
versions with nobody complaining about it, I'm not sure it's a blocker
at this stage).

You gave all the needed information, but it was probably lost in the
many e-mails. Probably it would have been best to open a dedicated issue
and set it as possible stopper (yes, everybody could have done this back
at the time, and with the possibility to get it painlessly imported in
Pootle...).

When I upload a .odt file which contains "Hello World" as the only content

InputStreamToXInputStreamAdapter. Is that a problem? Still no luck with

Thx I will grab it, but I assume that before release you make sure pootle
and sdf are synchronized for all languages, so that we potentially can
clear pootle. That way we have a marker in svn for all languages, otherwise
we will never know what was translated for 4.0 or later.

I think it is quite important to remember that the pootle server is
secondary storage, and the only long life storage is svn. Once 4.0 is
released I would like to clean the db, optimize it for 4.1 and just keep
4.1 since it will allow a better cache usage.

I'd like to know the ucb commands that are executed when open is clicked.
Also, How exactly can I debug why my code is not working when using the

Sorry I have found the time today to look in the code because of too
many translation updates for the release.

Your focus for now should be to be able to use the office internal file
open dialog and browse your CMIS store and open and save files from
there. Or to store new files into this CMIS store.

I merged only the langs above. But created a sdf for you and you can

[RELEASE]: ongoing translation update/merge ... chek mnemonics

2013-07-01 Thread Jürgen Schmidt
Hi,

just a quick update, I am merging translations back into svn and have
already merged

Spanish, Finnish, English (en-GB), Sloval, Czech, Scottish Gaelic,
Simplified Chinese, Italian, Slovenian

Tamil and Greek are merged as well. For Tamil I am not sure if there
will be a further update regarding the mnemonics. Greek needs some
review of the gsicheck warnings/errors.

On my list are Japanese, Dutch, Korean, French, Hungarian, Portuguese,
German, Galician, Portuguese Brazil, Russian.

To help me it would nice if you can tell me if there is a further
check/update coming regarding the mnemonics or if Pootle is up-to-date
and ready for the merge.

Well some of these languages were already merged back and I need only a
clarification regarding the mnemonics.

Other languages like Asturian that will be potentially completed until
tomorrow will be taken into account for the release as well.

3.2, OOo 3.3 and AOO 3.4.0 on my Ubuntu 10.04 VM
I will make some further tests before I commit my changes into trunk.

I successfully upgraded an installed AOO 3.4.1 on a Ubuntu 11.10 VM.
Thus, my changes to the debian package creation are on trunk, now.

Make sure that you subscribe to the mailing list, ideally to both that

Thanks & regards.

Re: Call for volunteers to do exploration test on Base / Drawing and write test cases for Base / Drawing:

2013-07-01 Thread Yuzhen Fan
Hi All,

Here is the update about exploration test on Base as of July 1st:

I have completed Base exploration test on Win7, Covered Database, Table,
Query, Form, Report with embedded database, DB2 via JDBC and Text(CSV
files), here are the new bugs found (red ones are marked with flag 4.0.0
release blocker ?)

122589 AOO Base crash when delete table from query design and close the
design window
122596 Unable to edit table's existing fields in a db2 table
122603 Date field displays incorrect value as number text in Base report
122604 Data sort does not work for Asc and Desc with group field when
set it in Base report wizard
122605 value of sort by is not stored when click back in Base report
wizard
122611 Unable to edit CSV table
122612 Unable to add more than one table in query design window for CSV
database

Detail report/scenarios:
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/AOO40_Database

I start to testing it on Mac today with the planning on DB2, Text. At the
same time, it would be great if you could offer helping on other type of
databases and drivers, on all platforms (Redhat, Mac and Windows), if you
have interest and time, please contact me!

Yu Zhen

Hi bugreporter99,

To answer your questions:

#using winXP (or if preferred 7) - Please use Win7 if it is convenience for
you
#some instructions what to test or I can just do some random stuff - There
is no existing test cases so far, please do some general or exploration
test.

How is your Drawing test going on? Please record your test result in this
link:
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/AOO40_Drawing for Drawing.

You can refer the test result in this link for Base
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/AOO40_Database for Base

Thanks a lot for your time offering help on testing!

Regards,
Yu Zhen

Re: 4.0.0_release_blocker requested: [Bug 122657] First start wizard has unsuitable text

2013-07-01 Thread Oliver-Rainer Wittmann

Hi,

On 30.06.2013 19:03, bugzi...@apache.org wrote:

Regina Henschel has asked for 4.0.0_release_blocker:
Bug 122657: First start wizard has unsuitable text
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122657

--- Additional Comments from Regina Henschel
With bug 122398 the start wizard has been reactivated. But the texts has not
been adapted to the new situation under AOO.

The text in the first step is currently,
"Welcome to OpenOffice 4.0.0
This wizard will guide you through the license agreement, the transfer of user
data from OpenOffice.org 3 and the registration of OpenOffice."

(1)
OpenOffice 4.0.0 --> Apache OpenOffice 4.0.0

(2)
There exist no license agreement.

(3)
There exist no registration.

(4)
The part 'User name' from the left side is not mentioned in the introduction.

Oliver.
