I can reproduce, but I am not addressing at the moment, the following 3 issues that apply to the old MWiki too (so they can be fixed after migration): 1. Reported by Aleksey Evgenievich Harlamenkov: https://wikitest.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Dashboard/Wiki_Editing_Policy image is missing in the "To place the image on a page" section. 2. Reported by Pedro Lino: the link in the "Account creation for Apache OpenOffice Wiki" email points to <">https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page> https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page where the ending "greater than" character is included in the link. 3. Re: Please test the new MWiki: https://wikitest.openoffice.org
Dear Colleagues! New technology: multilingual templates I developed and completed the implementation of a new technology for multilingual templates. This technology allows using one template for all national zones. This simplifies the use of templates. There is no need to create locally translated templates. The unity of the style of the whole project is preserved. The first parameter in such a template should always be a code by the national zone. All references to old monolingual national templates have been replaced by new multilingual templates with the locale in the parameter. There are no pages that use the old templates. Old templates are marked for deletion. In the documentation, all multilingual templates are marked: Multilingual template Go to the template page to see available localizations. https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Talk:Documentation/Dashboard/Wiki_Editing_Policy#New_technology:_multilingual_templates This work required about 5000 revisions. -- Yours faithfully, Aleksey Evgenievich Harlamenkov. 16.07.2018, 17:13, "Keith N. I have a login for site https://cwiki.apache.org but the pages there seem really empty https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/Wiki+Home On the other hand the cwiki login data won't work on the wikitest. Am I missing something? Thanks, Pedro - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org

Andrea! good afternoon. No image on the page: https://wikitest.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Dashboard/Wiki_Editing_Policy To place the image on a page you can use the MediaWiki Image thumbnail feature which "wraps" your illustrations in an image box. This image box includes a spot for an image caption. Good afternoon. I think that error creating thumbnail is problem of setup new MediaWiki server for path to ImageMagic or path to thumbnail folder. But until then work can continue as usual at the usual URL. Or should I stop the work before the transfer of the new wiki? No, please don't stop, and thanks for your contributions! You may want to test https://wikitest.openoffice.org but just with some quick test content: once we are done with tests, wikitest will be wiped out and MWiki will be cloned again to the new server. Andrea! good afternoon. Now I'm actively editing the wiki (4082 edits in the last 30 days). Will this contribution be transferred to a new wiki? Where can I continue to work: on a test wiki or in an old wiki? Or should I stop the work before the transfer of the new wiki? -- Yours faithfully, Aleksey Evgenievich Harlamenkov. 15.07.2018, 20:33, "Andrea Pescetti" : > Our MWiki needs to be moved to a new server since Infra is replacing old > hardware. Please test the new MWiki: https://wikitest.openoffice.org
Our MWiki needs to be moved to a new server since Infra is replacing old hardware. It took some work and some help from Infra, but a test instance is now available on a new server at https://wikitest.openoffice.org Please test it as follows: - if you don't have an account, just browse the pages and check that everything looks good - if you have an account, please login with the same username/password you use for MWiki and check that you can edit pages normally. If feedback is positive, we can then schedule a final migration in the next weeks.
