[Dev] [DEV] [AppFactory] Create Database in default mode implentation

I assume what you refer to as adding a new action is, adding a new method to the RSS Admin Service API to do all the tasks at once. IMO, having a method to accept all the information on Database/DatabaseUser/DatabasePrivileges and do all the things within the scope of a single method does not look right to me. If your only problem is to retrieve the generated string appended to a particular username, why it isn't possible to simply add a util function somewhere in RSS client side and infer the hash value calculated upon a particular tenant domain name to form the fully qualified name given to a particular database user? Hi Miyuru, IMHO, I see no point in having a separate orbit, so I too am +1 for this. A separate orbit has always been a confusion, since you also find orbit inside kernel/dependencies and platform/dependencies, making it highly confusing for anyone who tries to understand (or explain) our SVN structure. Hi, Well, platform/orbit and kernal/orbit has its meaning right. if we put some non osgi components to kernal/dependencies we wrap it at kernal/orbit. but top level orbit is the stuff we directly take from outside. So IMO there is a meaning in having top level /orbit. its not confusing, its rather clean. but ofcause you can have kernal/orbit with everything needed for kernel. [Dev] [DEV][URGENT]OutputAttributeExecutor may produce wrong type of attribute for the output stream in CEP 2.1.0
Hi all, Recently, I've found something wrong in CEP query output attribute executors. In DivideExpressionExecutorLong.java, the execute method was written as - public Object execute(AtomicEvent event) { return ((Number) leftExpressionExecutor.execute(event)).doubleValue() / ((Number) rightExpressionExecutor.execute(event)).doubleValue(); } - hence, the result of the output Object is of type Double, but this particular executor requires output type Long. All executors under the divide category suffers from this issue. The consequence is to cause a java cast exception when the wrong type of attribute occurs in the output stream, and the attribute is used in the followed queries. Hope this will be fixed, thanks. Re: [Dev] Do we really need a separate carbon orbit?
Hi Nuwan, That's what's desired, but it is not what you find in practice, :). Take a look @ platform/dependencies and then platform/dependencies/orbit. So, you find things that are not inside platform/dependencies to be referenced inside platform/dependencies/orbit. Such things are directly taken from outside too. Thanks, Senaka. Re: [Dev] Do we really need a separate carbon orbit?
On Wed, May 22, 2013 at 10:32 AM, Senaka Fernando sen...@wso2.com wrote: Hi Nuwan, That's what's desired, but it is not what you find in practice, :). Take a look @ platform/dependencies and then platform/dependencies/orbit. So, you find things that are not inside platform/dependencies to be referenced inside platform/dependencies/orbit. Such things are directly taken from outside too. Thats absolutely wrong. we should either fix that or remove top level orbit. I am +1 for top level orbit and -0 for removing the concept all to gather. Regards, /Nuwan Thanks, Senaka. So IMO there is a meaning in having top level /orbit. its not confusing, its rather clean. but ofcause you can have kernal/orbit with everything needed for kernel. A separate orbit has always been a confusion, since you also find orbit inside kernel/dependencies and platform/dependencies, making it highly confusing for anyone who tries to understand (or explain) our SVN structure. We noticed this intermittently failing sometime back in the past too, but never could find a reason, since it was not reproducible in release builds. If you can consistently reproduce, please do keep a back-up of the maven repo, just in case it is not reproducible for others. Thanks, Senaka.
