[Dev] Identity Server performs slowly with 5000+ accounts
Hi all! I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask! I'm using WSO2 Identity Server with it's bundled LDAP. I have a requirement to store 5000+ accounts. I created a test script that adds many accounts using the remote web services (RemoteUserStoreManagerService) through the Java apis. However as the users amount begin to grow, the operations get slower. Is this a known issue? Could you suggest me an optimization strategy? ___ Dev mailing list Dev@wso2.org http://wso2.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dev

Re: [Dev] Identity Server performs slowly with 5000+ accounts
Hi Adrian, If you have not optimized the configuration, There may be some slowness when number of users are increased. To optimized LDAP authentication, you need to use UserDNPattern property such as following This properly must be match with your search base and this can be used with with both flat and hierarchical user search bases. Property name=UserDNPatternuid={0},ou=Users,dc=wso2,dc=org/Property Thanks, Asela. On Wed, Jul 3, 2013 at 12:44 PM, Adrian Mitev adrian.mi...@gmail.comwrote: Hi all! As we discussed the concept of Group will be useful during the implementation of 'Operations Center'. Based on current requirements what we need is to discover the members of the group and to send cluster messages to selected set of members. I think it will be possible with the requirements given by Anjana. In the case of Operations Center, it is not part of any cluster sits outside. So the group in OC will be separate from the clustering API. Actually, OC will not be using the clustering API, but the manager nodes in each cluster will be using this API. There, in [2], for onPeerMessage, I guess it's useful for us to get the member id who would have sent the message. Same for onGroupMessage, and also, there we could possibly return a result from that node, and give a accumulated result to the sender, which I guess we already do in the current clustering API. [Dev] Introducing new caching implementation to the carbon platform
Hi All, We have committed the changes/refactoring related to new caching implementation to carbon kernel. This includes changes in user.core, registry.core and few components (fixing regression). furthermore we have removed the caching.core module from carbon kernel. (at the moment we have excluded it from the build). As per my local testing, kernel builds fine and start fine + unit and integration tests are passing. However due to these changes, platform build might become unstable. We are going to fix those failures... (hopefully within tomorrow). Thanks for understanding.. :) thanks, --Pradeep ___ Dev mailing list Dev@wso2.org http://wso2.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dev

[Dev] [ANN] WSO2 ESB 4.7.0 released
The WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) 4.7.0 Released! WSO2 ESB team is pleased to announce the release of version 4.7.0 of the Open Source Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). WSO2 ESB is a fast, lightweight and user friendly open source Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) distributed under the Apache Software License v2.0http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.html. WSO2 ESB allows system administrators and developers to easily configure message routing, intermediation, transformation, logging, task scheduling, fail over routing and load balancing. It also supports transport switching, eventing, rule based mediation and priority based mediation for advanced integration requirements. The ESB runtime is designed to be completely asynchronous, non-blocking and streaming based on the Apache Synapsehttp://synapse.apache.org mediation engine. WSO2 ESB 4.7.0 is developed on top of the revolutionary WSO2 Carbon platformhttp://wso2.org/projects/carbon (Middleware a' la carte), an OSGi based framework that provides seamless modularity to your SOA via componentization. This release also contains many new features and a range of optional components (add-ons) that can be installed to customize the behavior of the ESB. Further, any existing features of the ESB which are not required to your environment can be easily removed using the underlying provisioning framework of Carbon. In brief, WSO2 ESB can be fully customized and tailored to meet your exact SOA needs. You can download this distribution from http://wso2.com/products/enterprise-service-bus/ and give it a try. How to Run 1. Extract the downloaded zip 2. Go to the bin directory in the extracted folder 3. Run the wso2server.sh or wso2server.bat as appropriate 4. Point your browser to the URL https://localhost:9443/carbon 5. Use admin, admin as the username and password to login as an admin 6. If you need to start the OSGi console with the server use the property -DosgiConsole when starting the server. The INSTALL.txt file found on the installation directory will give you a comprehensive set of options and properties that can be passed into the startup script 7. Sample configurations can be started by the wso2esb-samples script passing the sample number with the -sn option (Please have a look at the samples guide for more information, on running samples) Brand New in This Release - Comprehensive REST integration support with HTTP Endpoints - JSON support for Payload Factory Mediator - SSL Tunneling Support - SSL Profiles for inbound and outbound scenarios - Inbound Connection Throttling support for Pass-Thru and NHTTP transports - CRL/OCSP Certificate Revocation Verification Enhancements in WSO2 ESB 4.7.0 - Enhanced Message Stores and Processors for Guaranteed Delivery and Rate Matching Scenarios - High Performance Multitenant REST APIs support with Pass-Thru Transport - Stabilizing Registry Based Deployment Synchronizer - Invoking Sequences and Proxy Service from Scheduled Tasks - HL7 Enhancements to support Application-Acknowledgement and Auto-Acknowledgement scenarios - Transport Header manipulation in Header Mediator - Enhancement on Content Negotiation in RESTful integration(ie: POX with text/xml) - JMS MapMessage compatibility for JMS Transport Key Features of WSO2 ESB - Proxy services - facilitating synchronous/asynchronous transport, interface (WSDL/Schema/Policy), message format (SOAP 1.1/1.2, POX/REST, Text, Binary), QoS (WS-Addressing/WS-Security/WS-RM) and optimization switching (MTOM/SwA). - API facilitating building REST services - Non-blocking HTTP/S transports based on Apache HttpCore-NIO for ultra-fast execution and support for thousands of connections at high concurrency with constant memory usage. - Built in Registry/Repository, facilitating dynamic updating and reloading of the configuration and associated resources (e.g. XSLTs, XSD, WSDL, Policies, JS configurations ..) - Easily extendable via custom Java classes (mediator and command)/Spring configurations, or BSF Scripting languages (Javascript, Ruby, Groovy, etc.) - Built in support for scheduling tasks using the Quartz scheduler. - Load-balancing (with or without sticky sessions)/Fail-over, and clustered Throttling and Caching support - WS-Security, WS-Reliable Messaging, Caching Throttling configurable via (message/operation/service level) WS-Policies - Lightweight, XML and Web services centric messaging model - Support for industrial standards (Hessian binary web service protocol/ Financial Information eXchange protocol and optional Health Level-7 protocol) - Enhanced support for the VFS (File/FTP/SFTP), JMS, Mail transports with optional TCP/UDP transports and transport switching among any of the above transports - Support for message splitting aggregation using the EIP and service callouts - Database lookup
[Dev] Thinking of making Carbon clustering independent from Axis2
While working on the new clustering API on the trunk, I thought it would not involve much work to simply decouple Carbon clustering from Axis2, rather than having two Clustering APIs. if everybody agrees, I can start working on it. I have already done that in a scratch area during the Carbon 5 work, and it is just a matter of bringing that code it. However, we need to update the docs. The configuration will be almost identical. There was no agreement when I brought that discussion up. Most people preferred XML. If the Carbon Kernel 4.2.0 release is happening soon, then we can the bring the code in after the release. However, we need to update the docs. The configuration will be almost identical. Yes. Docs are important. I would like to join and help on this Thanks!
