Re: [Dev] [DEV][G-REG] no output from Issue Tracker Sample
Hi, It did work after deleting the existing one and adding the registry extension file again. I did two changes this time, 1.There is a issue when copying from sample web page by double clicking on the content. Some unwanted characters get added, so this time I copied it without using that option. 2.I navigated to the exact folder through tree view of the dashboard and added the file, without giving full path in the name as instructed in sample doc. One of them should be the issue. Added these info hoping it will help someone fallen into the same problem. Re: [Dev] [Status update] Platform automation test - Cross products Single Sign-on with SAML 2.0 Auto test
Yes. We can aggregate multiple coverage reports and create a one report. But the problem is that We have to instrument the JAR file before starting the Distributed setup. I guess, Since this is platform test, Platform is already up and running. if so We have to instrument the JAR inside the server first before starting the servers. We can merge the two reports and generate aggregated coverage report. This was already done for products like ESB with multiple test modules. However, in a distributed APIM setup merging reports will be bit difficult which we need to improve in future. For the time being we can merge the reports and generate coverage manually. Thanks, Krishantha. Currently the only comprehensive coverage comes from the tests that run at build time and we don't actually know the coverage as a whole (which includes the UI and platform scenarios). Re: [Dev] [DEV][G-REG] no output from Issue Tracker Sample
Hi, Thanks for adding these info. Please find inline comments. I did two changes this time, 1.There is a issue when copying from sample web page by double clicking on the content. Some unwanted characters get added, so this time I copied it without using that option. This is the issue with unwanted characters file content have changed. 2.I navigated to the exact folder through tree view of the dashboard and added the file, without giving full path in the name as instructed in sample doc. This is not an issue as you can create a registry extension file giving the full path in the name as instructed in the doc. Thanks, Sithumini One of them should be the issue. Added these info hoping it will help someone fallen into the same problem. On Thu, Feb 19, 2015 at 2:23 PM, Vinod Kavinda vi...@wso2.com wrote: hi, Thanks for the response. Re: [Dev] Enable streaming in service and operational level - AS 5.1.0 not working
Hi, Since addEmployee is not having a response hence the HTTP 500 response with a fault message. Streaming works only for data services which has a result in return. By following [1] I was able to reproduce HTTP 200 response with a soap fault for employeesByNumber operation. Due to the default streaming behaviour of data services requests, which has a result will respond with HTTP 200 and a fault message. When creating a data service/using existing sample data service, the streaming has been turned ON by default. Due to this HTTP 200 + soap response, ESB 4.8.0 is unable to hit the fault sequence in an in sequence of a proxy configuration. Using FORCE_ERROR_ON_SOAP_FAULT property was ineffective even after the fix applied [4]. As a workaround we can configure setup to hit the fault sequence with HTTP 500 response + fault message. As per [1] to get an HTTP 500 response you have to disable this streaming behaviour in both service level and operation level. Here is how to do it. First go to Home Manage Services List Select the data service to edit. Now we have to disable streaming at service+operations level. Edit Data Service (XML Edit) i. Include disableStreaming=true property to the data element [2], which will disable streaming at service level. ii. Include disableStreaming=true property to the operation being used/other operations planning to use [2], which will disable streaming at operation level. iii. Save/Update the configuration. This disableStreaming=true property is defined to retain backward compatibility since from the beginning default streaming was always enabled and this property was introduced later [3]. We can perform the above said configuration from UI. I have tested this scenario by AS 5.1.0 DSS samples and ESB 4.8.0 + patch0315 and was able to recreate the scenario and successfully test the workaround solution. Even though documentation article [1] is for AS 5.2.0, I found data services samples in AS-5.1.0 HOME/samples/dataServiceSamples location and I deployed the said samples. In my scenario I'm trying to get a soap fault from a particular data service (which is in AS 5.1.0) and feed it to the in sequence of a proxy which is in ESB 4.8.0. I have selected the samples/RDBMSSample sample's addEmployee operation for my testing. By using FORCE_ERROR_ON_SOAP_FAULT property as per [2], I was able to hit the fault sequence coming from data service at AS 5.1.0. To use this property successfully I have to use this fix in issue [3] also. Here the response I got was [8] HTTP 500 with fault sequence which I expected. Now I have to get the HTTP 200 with a fault sequence as [5] and to test the behaviour of ESB 4.8.0's fault sequence capturing capability with FORCE_ERROR_ON_SOAP_FAULT property with HTTP 200 response [5]. I have tried using [6], [4] disableStreaming=false (also tried to enable streaming tick box from UI) at both service and operation level and the result was the same (HTTP 500) response. Regardless of true/false value for the field I'm getting HTTP 500 with soap fault. My /samples/dataServiceSamples/dbs/rdbms/RDBMSSample.dbs file is attached herewith [7]. Re: [Dev] [Carbon] Exception when trying to insert data through the created carbon component
Hi Thusitha, Mainly this type of errors come when the client side call doesn't comply with the backend service. There can be many reasons but most of the time I suspect you may have updated the backend service and the wsdl in the stub has been not updated to comply with it. I would suggest to use SoapUI and make sure the backend service is running properly and try adding item from SoapUI. If it works then update the wsdl in stub and try executing the code from the web interface. Regards, Amal. In general catching Throwable is not a good practice because there may be some run time Errors like OutOfMemoryError which are not be able to handle. Re: [Dev] Error while trying to install DSS feature 3.2.1 to ESB 4.8.1
Hi Sajith, This usually happens when you have these features already installed in the product. You can go back and remove the already installed features.(not the feature groups, but you can un-tick only the feature from the tree) In your case you have to remove New Datasource Management UI Feature, Data Service Hosting Feature, Data Service Hosting UI Feature etc.. Or else you can try with the provinstall osgi command. This will ignore the already installed features and install only the new ones. Eg : provinstall org.wso2.carbon.patch.feature.group Hope this[1] will help you to do more things with the osgi console. Re: [Dev] [Carbon] Exception when trying to insert data through the created carbon component
Hi Thusitha, First of all Axis2 supports JavaBeans and therefore you need to adhere to JavaBeans standards when using it. Please have a look at JavaBeans Conventions in [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JavaBeans#JavaBean_conventions. There it states The class must have a public default constructor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Default_constructor (with no arguments). This allows easy instantiation within editing and activation frameworks. I hope this answers your both questions. :) [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JavaBeans#JavaBean_conventions Thank you, Amal. However, in a distributed APIM setup merging reports will be bit difficult which we need to improve in future. For the time being we can merge the reports and generate coverage manually. [Dev] [Announce] WSO2 Storage Server (WSO2 SS) 1.5.0 Released!
WSO2 Storage Server (WSO2 SS) 1.5.0 Released!WSO2 Storage Server (WSO2 SS) team is pleased to announce the release of its version 1.5.0.WSO2 Storage Server conveniently delivers multi-tenant structured and unstructured data storage provisioning capabilities to development projects. Development teams can rapidly provision and access secure and scalable relational, NoSQL Columnar, and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) repositories using a consistent management process. The WSO2 Storage Server management console allows teams to create databases, add users, and provision access based on the web application’s database policies. It is distributed under the Apache Software License v2.0 http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.html. WSO2 SS 1.5.0 is developed on top of the revolutionary WSO2 Carbon platform http://wso2.com/products/carbon/ (Middleware a' la carte), an OSGi based framework that provides seamless modularity to your SOA via componentization. Re: [Dev] [G-REG] Transition UI Sample Problem
Hi Anuja, If you did all the steps correctly when click the promote button you should see a separate UI section with version and Resource name right below the lifecycle section. Its better if you go through the jsp file you added then you can get an idea of the result easily. This sample demonstrate the registry lifecycle configuration element, UI.
