Hi Dulitha,

Instead of the byte array, shall we modify it to return a Jaggery Stream
object? From that, you can get the Java InputStream and then convert it to
a byte array.

 The plugin version is mentioned in the root level pom org.wso2:wso2:1.
 And other products also use this plugin version without any issues. So,
 issue should be in our product. We have to fix it.

[Dev] Registry Access Using Carbon Context

2015-02-23 Thread Pubudu Dodangoda
I am trying to access the local registry (to save and to get a resource)

I get the following exception,

java.lang.RuntimeException: org.apache.cxf.interceptor.Fault: loader
constraint violation: when resolving method
"org.apache.axis2.util.XMLUtils.toOM(Lorg/w3c/dom/Element;)Lorg/apache/axiom/om/OMElement;"
the class loader (instance of
org/wso2/carbon/webapp/mgt/loader/CarbonWebappClassLoader) of the current
class, org/wso2/carbon/utils/multitenancy/CarbonContextHolder, and the
class loader (instance of
org/eclipse/osgi/internal/baseadaptor/DefaultClassLoader) for resolved
class, org/apache/axis2/util/XMLUtils, have different Class objects for the
type MElement; used in the signature

Last time when I got this exception, adding Provided to the
respective artifact dependency solved the problem
But here, when I do that I get a NoSuchMethod Exception for the line where
the Carbon Context is defined

Notes-
I used the following code for registry access

CarbonContext cctx= CarbonContext.getCurrentContext();
Registry registry=cctx.getRegistry(RegistryType.LOCAL_REPOSITORY);
try{
Resource resource=registry.newResource();
resource.setContent("Dashboard_Test");
registry.put("RandomPath", resource);
}catch(RegistryException re){ re.printStackTrace();}

Thank You

Re: [Dev] Integration New Test Module - BUILD FAILURE

2015-02-23 Thread Chanuka Dissanayake
Hi Nisala,

You get this error because it cannot find the wso2 AM 1.9.0 product zip
file in the particular relative path.

in parallel to your "integration" folder, create another folder with the
name "distribution". Inside that, create a folder with the name "target"
and add the WSO2 AM 1.9.0 zip file to that.

In tree view, it's like following.

integration
distribution
 |target
  |wso2am-1.9.0.zip

Regards,
Chanuka.

Hi Prabath / Dilan,

If you refer 8th point [1] there won't be any problems with deployment
scenarios ...etc. I think currently you guys can completely ignore IDENTITY
db script and go with APIM db script there are only few exceptional
situations where you want to execute both APIM db script and IDENTITY db

provided in 8th point of [1]. Let's see Johann and Nuwan suggestion from
design point of view.

 check EMM 1.1.0 identity.xml DataSource. I guess it is jdbc/WSO2AM_DB
 so for IDENTITY and APIM you are using tables inside APIM db script. Even
 though both DB scripts contains IDN_* tables there is no such a
 duplication.

Re: [Dev] Registry Access Using Carbon Context

2015-02-23 Thread Chathura Priyankara
Hi Pubudu,

Use CarbonContext.getThreadLocalCarbonContext(); instead of CarbonContext.
getCurrentContext();. org.wso2.carbon.context module is not using anymore.

See following links [1] and [2] for more information:

You need to fix the relative path, rather creating the distribution file
patch manually. BTW, if your build was successful, pack should be available
in m2 repo and particular relative path.

[Dev] [GReg] [Sample] Subscribing `internal/everyone` role fails with UserStoreException

2015-02-23 Thread Rasika Perera
Hi all,

I am using GReg 4.6.0 and running `Issue Tracker Sample
`. After
creating the RXT artifact it is working as expected.

At the last step, it is needed to subscribe for notifications.

I
have added the followings to the $GREG_HOME/repository/conf/*registry.xml*.

Finally added subscription with the role `internal/everyone`.

[image: Inline image 2]

But notifications are not seen as expected when changes are done for the
LC. Instead following error trace is shown;

[Dev] [DEV][API-M] Error in WikipediaAPI sample

2015-02-23 Thread Vinod Kavinda
hi,
When following the [1], it gives the following error,

'org.wso2.carbon.registry.core.exceptions.ResourceNotFoundException:
Resource does not exist at path
/_system/governance/apimgt/applicationdata/provider/admin/admin/1.0.0/api'

when doing the step 2.

Reason for this is a wrong argument in the third curl script,
in APIPopulator.sh file. value for the attribute 'name' should be changed
from "admin" to  "WikipediaAPI".

I did the change and it worked perfectly. It is better if someone could
update the codebase.

 How can I call the admin service using the credential of currently

According to the exception, this error occurs in HybridRoleManager

this doesn't happen for primary userstore roles.

Re: [Dev] Improving the Dashboard of UES

2015-02-23 Thread Dunith Dhanushka
Hi Vidura,

Could you please elaborate more on why you are not going to use existing
UES pub/sub mechanism? What are the shortcomings it has and how do you plan
to overcome them with your new implementation?

Thanks,
Dunith

 What are the improvements that you are planning for pub/sub? Because

 AFAIR NadeeshaC also did some work related to this. Will be great if

Re: [Dev] Registry related tenant data deletion

2015-02-23 Thread Senaka Fernando
Hi Shashika,

I believe this is the only way to do this. There are several things to note
here.

1. In memory data - Ideally unloading the tenant should clean-up all of
this and if it does not there is an issue.
2. DB data - all the tables have a tenant-id column. What you need is a
query to delete all records matching that tenant id.
3. Solr Index etc and Registry Extensions deployed on the Filesystem -
These should be in corresponding folder/files structures either having a
tenant id or tenant domain. I don't recall this is as X, Y, and Z and I
don't think anyone else would do too. You can scan the code (Registry
Kernel, Registry Component and Governance Component) but it can be tedious.
So, may be you can setup a tenant and grep for tenant-id/domain or grep for
"-1234" and "carbon.super" in the filesystem.
4. Other related data - The kernel alone uses the filesystem (inside
repository/deployment) which you might need to clean. There are temporary
files created that many require cleaning and also logs, if you are
interested in a full wipeout. The registry utilises some of these standard
features from the kernel and some information (mostly transient) can be
found in those.

Appreciate some help from others in the G-Reg team to identify anything I
missed.

Thanks,
Senaka.

 Hi

 I configured WSO2 Identity Server 5.0.0 as Key manager as the
 documentation[1]. The I created a API with api scope in WSO2 AM 1.7.0.
 However when generating the access token with the given scope It generate
 the access token for the given scope. But When invoking the API, There is
 no scope validation in identity server. I could invoke other resources
 having different scope.

 When looking at the identity.xml in identity server, I figured out
 below OAuthScopeValidator configuration is missing in identity.xml. I
 added below configuration, Then scopes are validating properly. This is not
 mentioned even in the doc[1]

 >>> class="org.wso2.carbon.identity.oauth2.validators.JDBCScopeValidator"/>

 @IS Team, AM Team,
 Can you confirm above is the correct configuration in Identity server
 to validate the API Scope ?

It's duplicate of CARBON- 15180.
I think I have marked it as duplicate.

[Dev] APIM - SSO _SAML API Implementation , the production url of the API is not getting updated correctly at the API implementation stage

2015-02-23 Thread Dimuthu De Lanerolle
I noticed after we create the API using a HTTP client when we publish the
same, though in the index page it shows API as PUBLISHED the Life cycle
state under the 'Life cycle' tab , API state is shown as CREATED.
Investigating further I found that the reason behind this issue is tough
we send the production-url using HTTP client as a url parameter [1] due to
some reason it gets ignored at the API Implementation stage ,when trying to
publish the API. However when we submit the the same request with request
headers from the web browser it correctly updates the production url and
hence the API gets published correctly. What could be the reason for this?

Hi Guys,

Back to Chanaka's original discussion :). +1 for the first option. If one
wants deactivate the MP and persist it, he can simply do it by editing the
MP and setting the value rather than using the deactivation button.

 implementation. During this process we are planning to resolve a long
 running issue in the Message Processor usage. The issue is that, when we
 deploy a Message processor in the ESB and try to change the status
 (activate/deactivate), it will change the xml file and persist that state
 in to that file. This behavior causing issues when we deploy MP using a CAR
 file since it does not deploy the xml file in to deployment directory by
 default. When this happens, if we change the MP from management console, it
 will save the xml and throw errors when restarting the server and the
 status is not persisted.

 Our initial plan was to not persist the active/deactive state in the
 file but keep that state in the memory. When a user change the status from
 the management console, it will not persist in the xml file but change the
 status in the memory and MP will change the status accordingly. The
 drawback with this model is that we cannot persist the state of the MP
 (which we have changed) after a server restart.

 Another option is to check whether the artifact is coming from a CAR
 file or not and persist the state only if it is not coming from a CAR file.
 But even with this approach, we can only persist the state of the processor
 for artifacts which are not deployed from the CAR file.

 Given the above options, I think the first option is more consistent
 since it would not behave differently for artifacts coming from different
 paths. The drawback with that is we can't persist the state of the MP
 (which has changed during the server runtime) after server restart. If some
 user needs to persist the status, he may need to change the CAR file with
 the desired state.

 Any suggestions would be welcomed.

 Thanks,
 Chanaka

[Dev] [Orbit] Please merge the PR for Spark core, sql v1.2.1 and other dependencies

2015-02-23 Thread Niranda Perera
Hi Sameera,

Please review and merge this PR [1]

It adds the spark core and sql v1.2.1 to the orbit together with,
hadoop-client v2.2.0
Uncommons Math v1.2.2
json4s-jackson_2.10 v3.2.10
twitter chill and java v0.5.0
stream v2.2.0

Would be very grateful if you could attend to this ASAP because we have
scheduled a M1 release by the EOD today 24th Feb.

I have reviewed the spark core and sql bundles with KIshanthan last week.
Much appreciate if you could go through the poms nevertheless.

cheers

Re: [Dev] [GSoC-2015] Proposal 12: Deep Learning for WSO2 Machine Learner

2015-02-23 Thread Tharindu Peiris
Hi all,

Yes thanks for the quick response and definitely we can meet and talk about
in WSO2.
now I trying to go throw the references and give a little bit time for that.

I think you may expect a system in functionally like "matlab neural network
network toolbox" for deep learning , but entire implementation go throw the
javascript (web) and should be user friendly for non-technical users.
functionally I think it is good to go for a better running time analysis,
because we can't see that in above toolbox software and as we know that
deep learning network training is a expensive operation and also it may not
good to go throw the back-propagation learning.
so I believe that running time analysis is a functional requirement for
this proposed system.

Thanks,
Tharindu.

Re: [Dev] Registry related tenant data deletion

2015-02-23 Thread Danesh Kuruppu
Hi Shashika,

In solr indexing, we store the resource by its tenant_id
(indexed_document_id = resourcePath + "tenant" + tenantId)

e.g: Assume you stored resource from the tenant1, indexed document id looks
like below,

"id": "/_system/governance/services/aaa/aaa/1.0.0*tenantId1*"

You can get all resource store under tenantId using wildcard search.

id:**tenantId1*
>

In Solr server, they have provided an api to delete by query.

deleteByQuery(String query)
>

We can write new method in SolrClient to support this and call it from your
component. Currently we only support delete index by resource id where we
need resource path.

Thanks
Danesh

Re: [Dev] WSO2 ESB Message processor activation from management console

Hi Chanaka,

Sorry if I am providing my suggestions too late.

>From the point of view of implementation aspect first approach is easy.
However from users point of view second option is the desired option. Users
may get confused when they see different results when they restart the
server, for instance say an deactivated MP starts processing messages
immediately and other way around too.

 Hi All,

 Currently when the Message Processor states are changed via ESB
 management console in a cluster mode, the states are synchronized using the
 dep-sync mechanism. Automatic deactivation is the only scenario where the
 dep-sync is not used to synchronize the states of the message processor
 across the worker nodes of the cluster.

 If we are avoiding dep-sync, we need to have an event based support in
 ntask core (platform) so that we can subscribe to state transition events
 of a given task. The other alternative is to have a Polling based scheme,
 which will be a costly solution and consumes more CPU cycles. AFAIK,
 currently there is no such an event driven support in ntask core and what
 we have is a polling based scheme.

 @Anjana: Could you please let us know whether this is feasible.

 Thanks & Regards,

Hi Tharik,

I think your dependency group ids are wrong(i.e org.wso2.carbon). Please
use the dependencies as following .

${carbon.automation.version}

org.wso2.carbon.automation
org.wso2.carbon.automation.engine
${carbon.automation.version}

Re: [Dev] WSO2 ESB Message processor activation from management console

2015-02-23 Thread Chanaka Fernando
Hi Udara,

Thanks for your feedback. Actually the real reason for the first approach
is not the easiness of the implementation. It is about consistency across
CAR deployment and file artifact deployment. If we go with the second
approach, it will behave in 2 different ways.

Thanks,
Chanaka

 Hi Ravindra,

 I'm not sure, if you and Chanaka are talking about the same thing.
 Chanaka mainly talked about the scenario that happens in the case of CAR
 deployment, where that is the know behavior when we deploy things from CAR,
 so any change you do locally, will be lost the next time, which is why you
 need to have the changes in the CAR itself.

 As for the state transition events, in these situations what we do is,
 we simply sent out cluster messages to the interested parties. So they know
 what is going on with a node on the cluster, and they are notified. This
 functionality is already there in the platform, and it is not something
 that needs to be handled in ntask.

 Cheers,
 Anjana.

[Dev] [Carbon] Should we serialize objects when storing in Carbon registry

2015-02-23 Thread Thusitha Thilina Dayaratne
Hi All,

Since *setContent* method in the resource accepts *Object *type as the
value, I've set HashMap directly in the resource and put it in the registry
as follows

Resource orderRes = registry.newResource();
> orderRes.setContent(orders);
> registry.put("orders_location", orderRes);

But when I debug and check the content of the above registry key it is null.
I was able to save and retrieve from the registry without any issues, after
serializing the HashMap and put it as the content.

It would be great if someone can tell why should we serialize the object
when putting in resource
Is there any other way to put the object in resource without serializing?
e.g
Can we use *setMediaType* of the resource and put directly

Best Regards
/Thusitha

[Dev] Removing ndatasource.rdbms dependencies from user.core

2015-02-23 Thread Chanika Geeganage
Hi,

The user.core depends on ndatasource.rdbms module to get a datasource for
realm datasource and user store datasource. Recently we had to add
ndatasource.core dependency to ndatasource.rdbms module in order to fix an
issue. Then it created a cyclic dependency with the following order.

org.wso2.carbon.ndatasource.core --> org.wso2.carbon.core -->
org.wso2.carbon.registry.core --> org.wso2.carbon.user.core -->
org.wso2.carbon.ndatasource.rdbms --> org.wso2.carbon.ndatasource.core

As the user.core module is in top of the dependency tree, it should not be
depend on a module which is in the lower level in the dependency tree.
Therefore I have changed the user.core module to directly get datasource
using tomcat.jdbc.pool.DataSource. The PR [1] has the changes done.

@Johann Please review the PR

[Dev] [AF]Datasource, Apptype and Code snippets

2015-02-23 Thread Dimuthu Leelarathne
Hi all,

I am looking at JIRA issues. APPFAC-2900 and APPFAC-2960.

I believe the most correct way to fix it, is by adding the following to the
apptype.xml and runtime.xml.

   - datasourceSupport - apptype.xml because it is something that comes
   with the app type. For example java has datasources
   - propertySupport - runtime.xml because it is something we have

thanks,

Re: [Dev] [Orbit] Please merge the PR for Spark core, sql v1.2.1 and other dependencies

2015-02-23 Thread KasunG Gajasinghe
Hi Niranda,

Please do the following sugestions on these orbit bundles. There's a quite
number of orbits here, hence the long list!

1. Set the dependencies as optional.

2. The groupId should start with org.wso2.*. This is a recent addition to
policy to make our orbit bundles compatible with maven central artifact
policies.

3. Remove the references from parent orbit pom

4. There's a TODO item in the spark-core_2.10 orbit. Can you fix that
before releasing this?

5. Why are the conf files created in spark-core_2.10 orbit. It looks like
this is coming from a third-party jar. Please use
instruction for this as well like you have done for other config files.

6. Use explicit imports in uncommons-maths orbit.

Thanks.

I tried to start the server by manually creating the tables this time and
still the same error
happens to pop up at the browser. So, this time, it's without the -Dsetup
option.

However, a secondary restart of the server will not still run into this
issue
as in the previous case.

AFAIK *oauthConsumerKey* is same as *CLIENT ID* and *oauthConsumerSecret* is*

 Hi Naasheer,

 You need to create a service provider and configure OAuth app. Refer

Re: [Dev] [AF]Datasource, Apptype and Code snippets

2015-02-23 Thread Danushka Fernando
For the mentioned issues, I think runtime configs are meaningful for
jaggery applications and there are ways to access them from jaggery AFAIR.
We can use some code similar to java code.
However there are application types these things are not meaningful so we
can have a property like runtimeConfigSupport in apptype and it should be
in apptype.xml only. Eg :- datasource applicaiton type. And may be we can
have a different configuration for databaseSupport as well.
Runtime is about the runtime that application is going to deploy on. These
runtime config support should be there for the needed application types
independent from the runtime IMO.
