Re: [Dev] [IS] No Established session issue at the session timeout

2015-06-15 Thread Ruchira Wageesha

 We have following concern with the above suggested approach.
 Say we make the call1 and then receive the response 1 as the session still
 exists. But between the time that we make the call2, session gets expired.
 (since these are network calls and delays may occur.)
 So at that point we face the same original problem again.

 Isn't the proper approach is to send a logout response from the identity
 side with a proper message (no session exists) to the application side
 rather than breaking the flow in the middle?

@IS Team,

Can you please share your thoughts on this and any fixes if needed please
:).

Re: [Dev] XML Comments support in ESB configurations - Dev Studio update

Hi Jagath,

Currenlty org.apache.synapse.mediators.AbstractMediator.getCommentsList()
and
org.apache.synapse.mediators.AbstractMediator.setCommentsList(ListString)
methods haven't been defined in org.apache.synapse.Mediator interface. Did
we do this intentionally ?

It will be more convenient for us to have these two methods in
org.apache.synapse.Mediator interface because we are relying on
org.apache.synapse.Mediator interface to manipulate generic attributes such
as shortDescription in our code. Is it possible to define these methods

[Dev] Endpoints stored in registry can not be deleted if there is associations attached to it.

2015-06-15 Thread Thushara Ranawaka
Hi,

In EndpointMediaTypeHandler[1] when we try to delete an endpoint there is a
special validation to check whether endpoint have any dependancies attached
and throw an exception[find the attached screen shot]. Because of this
validation user can't delete or even edit endpoint address(URL) without
removing the associations. I was enable to discover such behaviour in other
media types. Is this dependancy check added for a reason or else can we get
rid of it by letting user to edit endpoint details?.

I try this out locally and currently facing some issues due to missing
association after I update the endpoint address(URL). Looks like when we
update the endpoint address(URL) we are temporally deleting
endpoint artifact[2] then it cant find previous dependancies for some
reason.

public void delete(RequestContext requestContext) throws RegistryException {
if (!CommonUtil.isDeleteLockAvailable()) {
return;
}
CommonUtil.acquireDeleteLock();

Registry registry = requestContext.getRegistry();
String path = requestContext.getResourcePath().getPath();

try {
if (path == null) {
throw new RegistryException(The resource path is not
available.);
}
checkEndpointDependency(registry, path);
//Resource resource = registry.get(path);
} finally {
CommonUtil.releaseDeleteLock();
}
}

[Dev] [Dev Studio] Adding an endpoint by specifying resource key

2015-06-15 Thread Dilini Muthumala
Hi,
This is more of a user-experience related question w.r.t. dev studio 3.7.0.

To add an endpoint by specifying a resource key, we can go to the proxy *source
view* and add the endpoint as follows:

endpoint
key=gov:endpoints/HelloWorldService.xml/

But I couldn't find a way to add this via the *properties view*.

Is editing the source view the only way of $subject?

Thanks,

Re: [Dev] Introduce new table to the embedded database

2015-06-15 Thread Tharindu Edirisinghe
Hi Damith,

When you are implementing the feature, you can add the create table
statement in the database scripts in following location (Assuming you are
doing this for IS). For each type of databse there is a separate .sql file
and you can add the new command to each file.

*IS_HOME/dbscripts/identity/*

Then you can start the server with -Dsetup so it will automatically create
the new table in your setup.

This way you can test your feature. Once you complete the feature, you can
send a pull request to [1] adding the new table.

 I tried with different settings mainly for the following attributes

 Weight initialization
 Gradient Descent
 Iterations

 But none of the settings gave a reasonable accuracy. Furthermore, the
 predicted values for the test data usually *belong to 1 or 2 classes *(e.g.
 when trained on MNIST dataset, the program predict 0 and 1 only, though
 there are 10 possible classes)

 Also there are many reports of *poor accuracy of DL4J.* The best
 accuracy I could find reported was around 0.5 F1 score for MNIST, which is
 still very low. (e.g. MNIST can easily reach 0.9+ accuracy for even a
 basic deep network)

 I'm currently trying to delve in to the code for DL4J and figure out how
 the learning is done. I'm assuming there are some faults in the learning
 process which causes the algorithm to learn poorly.

 on the implementation.

 Somehow there are issues in implementing certain wrangler functions due to

- publishing data to DAS and connecting ML with DAS.

 Currently I'm developing a sample personalized recommend system to test
 how Apache Spark uses data and how it generates the output model.

 Hi All,

 I am getting following error on the WSO2 AS console log while I use

 probably due to Basic Authentication being used in my client whereas in

 My client code fragment is similar to,
 WebappAdminStub  stub = new WebappAdminStub(configCtx, serviceURL);

 ServiceClient client = stub._getServiceClient();
 Options options = client.getOptions();

 HttpTransportProperties.Authenticator auth = new
 HttpTransportProperties.Authenticator();
 auth.setUsername(userName);
 auth.setPassword(password);
 options.setProperty(org.apache.axis2.transport.http.HTTPConstants.AUTHENTICATE,
 auth);

 Questions are,

 1. how can I initiate SAML2 authentication instead of BASIC in the client

 2. Any other suggestion to prevent the above WARN log, without changing
 anything in AS side, can do anything in the client code.

Re: [Dev] [GSoC-2015] Data Wrangler extension for WSO2 Machine Learner

2015-06-15 Thread Supun Sethunga

 Somehow there are issues in implementing certain wrangler functions due to
 limitations in JavaRDD used in spark
 e.g. -
 Fill operation - when filling with values from rows above and below
 Fold operation

Agree, since rows will get executed randomly with spark, inter-row
operations are not very meaningful.
But you can slightly modify the implementation of the Fill operation,
such as, to fill values based on an expression/static-value/mean etc. (not
depending on other rows)..

Thanks,
Supun

 Other than the ones you have mentioned in the proposal, think its better
 to have Translate operation as well (to create a new column based on an
 existing column).

 Data wrangler provides sufficient parameters to re-create these at

 Once this phase is completed, I can either directly generate these
 scripts at wrangler or use the javascript output and convert it to spark
 depending on the implementation.

Re: [Dev] XML Comments support in ESB configurations - Dev Studio update

2015-06-15 Thread Jagath Sisirakumara Ariyarathne
Hi Viraj,

Comments list is added to AbstractMediator since it was implemented in few
mediators at the initial implementation. But going forward, as you
mentioned, it would be better if we define it in Mediator interface.

@Kasun, Isuru, We can define getCommentsList() and setCommentsList() in
Mediator interface. Then it should be implemented in all mediator classes
even though it is not used in some of classes. Appreciate your feedback
here.

Thanks.

 Hi Jagath,

 Currenlty org.apache.synapse.mediators.AbstractMediator.getCommentsList()
 and
 org.apache.synapse.mediators.AbstractMediator.setCommentsList(ListString)
 methods haven't been defined in org.apache.synapse.Mediator interface. Did
 we do this intentionally ?

 It will be more convenient for us to have these two methods in
 org.apache.synapse.Mediator interface because we are relying on
 org.apache.synapse.Mediator interface to manipulate generic attributes such
 as shortDescription in our code. Is it possible to define these methods
 in the org.apache.synapse.Mediator interface ?

 Thanks,

Thanks Thushan for the update.

In addition to you digging into the code, can you also inquire on the poor

 *Poor Accuracy*
 I have been testing DL4J extensively with *MNIST and Iris* datasets
 (Small and Full). However, I was unable to get a reasonable accuracy with
 DL4J for the aforementioned datasets. The F1-score was around 0.02, which
 is very low.

 I tried with different settings mainly for the following attributes

 Weight initialization
 Gradient Descent
 Iterations
 Type of units: Autoencoder/RBM

 Thank you

[Dev] [ML][CEP] Server startup error when installing ML features in CEP

2015-06-15 Thread Manorama Perera
Hi,

An exception[1] is thrown at the server startup when ML features are
installed in CEP 4.0.0 Alpha.

The issue here is, there are two *WSO2ML_DB* datasources are initialized at
the server startup when ML features are installed.

In [2], *WSO2ML_DB* datasource has been added to the *master-datasources.xml
in cep*.
But when installing ML features, ml-datasoures.xml file is copied into the
repository/conf/datasources. This file also contains WSO2ML_DB datasource.

The exception is thrown when the second WSO2ML_DB datasource is
initialized. I've commented the WSO2ML_DB from master-datasources.xml, then
the exception is not there.

Re: [Dev] [ESB] ClientApiNonBlocking Property JMS Transport

2015-06-15 Thread Akalanka Pagoda Arachchi
Hi Rajkumar,

You will need to use a blocking call when JMS transactions are involved. In
other cases, JMS can be used without this.

Furthermore, since Callout mediator is used when implementing JMS
transactions, it will be a blocking call anyway. So this
property documentation might need some changes.

Thanks,
Akalanka.

 Hi Rajkumar,

 You will need to use a blocking call when JMS transactions are involved.
 In other cases, JMS can be used without this.

 Furthermore, since Callout mediator is used when implementing JMS
 transactions, it will be a blocking call anyway. So this
 property documentation might need some changes.

 Thanks,
 Akalanka.

 Hi,

 Doc [1] says that removal of ClientApiNonBlocking property could be vital

 - Does it mean that we should always remove this property when JMS is
 involved somewhere in our proxy? Lets say, I am consuming messages using
 JMS and sending it out using JMS, do I still need to remove this property?
 Or do we need to remove this property only if ESB consumes messages using a
 streaming transports (like VFS) and sending it out using JMS? If yes, then
 doc seems to be confusing.

Re: [Dev] Accessing JSON Payload from an incoming request JAX-RS Service

2015-06-15 Thread Farazath Ahamed
Thanks Milan.
I will try out your suggestion.

On Mon, Jun 15, 2015 at 8:27 AM, Milan Perera mi...@wso2.com wrote:

 Hi Farazath,

 Instead of parsing the string manually, you can create a java bean class
 so that JAX-RS will parse it for you.
 For an example, let's say you have a json payload like this.

 {
   fname: Farazath,
   lname: Ahamed
 }

 So you can create a java bean like this.

 class User {
 private String fname;
 private String lname;

 // getters and setters for above attributes
 }

 Then your method signature has to be changed to,

 *public Response issueRPT(@Context HttpServletRequest request, User user)*

 Hope this would help you.

 Hi,

 I am in the process of developing a REST API using JAX-RS.
 The incoming request to the endpoint contains a JSON payload which needs
 to be processed.

 Currently I am using the following approach to access the payload

 @Path(/rpt)
 public class UmaAuthorizationEndpoint {

 private static final Log log =
 LogFactory.getLog(UmaAuthorizationEndpoint.class);

 @POST
 @Path(/)
 @Consumes(application/json)
 @Produces(application/json)
 *public Response issueRPT(@Context HttpServletRequest
 request,@Multipart(value=application/json) String jsonPayload){*

 *// rest of the code*
 *}*

 I am using the @Multipart annotation to get the payload as a String and
 continue with parsing the JSON.

 Is this the usual approach? If not, Is there an alternative approach to
 do this?

Re: [Dev] Introduce new table to the embedded database

2015-06-15 Thread Pushpalanka Jayawardhana
Hi Damith,

All the required tables are created through the scripts located at
'wso2is-5.0.0/dbscripts/'. Usually these IDN_* tables reside in identity
data-source, created with the scripts at
'wso2is-5.0.0/dbscripts/identity/'. When introducing a new table to a data
source, you should
- include the create table query in all the relevant script types (It's not
enough just to add this in H2. Should include in all the scripts for the
database types we support (MySQL, MSSQL etc..))
- should wait for identity.core to be active, in your feature, as that is
the component which initialize the database for identity data source.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Pushpalanka.

[Dev] [ML] Progress so far with DL4J

2015-06-15 Thread Thushan Ganegedara
Dear all,

Please find the update regarding DL4J testing

*Poor Accuracy*
I have been testing DL4J extensively with *MNIST and Iris* datasets (Small
and Full). However, I was unable to get a reasonable accuracy with DL4J for
the aforementioned datasets. The F1-score was around 0.02, which is very
low.

I tried with different settings mainly for the following attributes

Weight initialization
Gradient Descent
Iterations
Type of units: Autoencoder/RBM

But none of the settings gave a reasonable accuracy. Furthermore, the
predicted values for the test data usually *belong to 1 or 2 classes *(e.g.
when trained on MNIST dataset, the program predict 0 and 1 only, though
there are 10 possible classes)

Also there are many reports of *poor accuracy of DL4J.* The best accuracy
I could find reported was around 0.5 F1 score for MNIST, which is still
very low. (e.g. MNIST can easily reach 0.9+ accuracy for even a basic deep
network)

I'm currently trying to delve in to the code for DL4J and figure out how
the learning is done. I'm assuming there are some faults in the learning
process which causes the algorithm to learn poorly.

Thank you
