Re: [Dev] [TAF] Support for RabbitMQ

2015-06-17 Thread Maheeka Jayasuriya
[Moving to dev@]

To update the current status on $subject.

The main concern of including rabbitmq to test framework is that, rabbitmq
server cannot be started programmatically. This is because there is no
server library available and rabbitmq-server distribution is too large to
be included to product-esb (~18MB). Hence, the alternative is to have
rabbitmq-server started at the time of running tests.

Therefore, as per offline discussion with Krishantha, rabbitmq-tests will
be added to a new integration test module - 'tests-platform' and skipped
during jenkins build by setting the skipTest property in
maven-surefire-plugin configuration.

However, most of the rabbitmq server operations can be performed via
rabbitmqctl [1], by executing commands. With this support, I am looking at
the possibility of starting rabbitmq server at runtime. For this following
will be done.

1. set RabbitMQ server home using an automation.xml property
2. Start up RabbitMQ server

To start the rabbitmq server, what is the best approach? To have a RabbitMQ
server extension or with a broker startup test case similar to JMS for
ActiveMQServer [2].

In conclusion, the idea is to allow running RabbitMQ tests by,
1. enable tests in maven-surefire-plugin configuration
2. set RabbitMQ server home in automation.xml

Please share your ideas.

Hi Iranga,

I think this has been changed with CEP 4.0.0 release where endpoint will be
adapterName/receive. "receive" word is common for any HTTP receiver. I
guess we need to update documentations.

Is it the case with other connectors as well. WDYT?

Re: [Dev] Cross Origin Request Blocked when using socket.io

The NodeJS exercise was suggested for you to learn and get familiar with
socket io. But the real requirement is for appmgt jaggery app. It is hosted
in a AS-like server, which is AF server. If you can disable the login in
AF, you can do the test in AF server as well. But if you make it work in AS
then we can reuse it in AF too.

Why does the FE poll the BE? Is it to inform the user the progress of the
> application creation ( during this time the user does not perform any

Not just for app creation. If you login to App Cloud it updates with all
events, build, deploy, user addition, resource addition and etc ...
Therefore we need to poll it.

thanks,
dimuthu

We definitely can use this if we can check whether same principals can

 Hi Tharik,

I searched up on CORS (Cross Origin Resource Sharing) and based on
my understanding the problem is that I am trying to access a resource
 on
another domain from my domain. Therefore a simple solution would be to
download both the *socket.io-1.2.0.js and jquery-1.11.1.js*.

I included them in the directory containing the html file and
 changed the script as follows.

 *.*

 *>>> src="jquery-1.11.1.js">*

 *.*
 But the error still persists.

Yes, that sounds good. I will start working on UI aspects while waiting for

should be fine. Otherwise, I will start implementing the autoencoder.

Re: [Dev] [ML] Progress so far with DL4J

2015-06-17 Thread Srinath Perera
Let's work on other parts of the project, for example we can look at UI to
configure Deep learning while waiting for them to do it. However, fix takes
time, we have to write auto encoder.

Re: [Dev] Cross Origin Request Blocked when using socket.io

2015-06-17 Thread Sabra Ossen
Hi Dimuthu,

I understand the requirements, but have a few questions regarding the
polling and the server.

The appmgt jaggery app is hosted in the AS in cloud right?
Why does the FE poll the BE? Is it to inform the user the progress of the
application creation ( during this time the user does not perform any
action)? Is this app creation time the only time the FE polls the BE?

Thanks in advance for the clarifications.

Regards.
Sabra.

 Hi Dimuthu,

I believe so. By following the blog I was able to use Nginx and
socket.io in load balancing a real time chat app which was hosted
using node js, whereas the same principle is applicable if the jaggery
files ( content we serve from the server ) as well as the server contains
 socket.io code integrated.

 Thanks.
 Sabra

 Hi Sabra,

This happens because of same origin policy where that specific
resource hosted at some other domain and javascript is running on local
machine. To resolve that usually CORS headers needs to be added to the
 response from the server side.

In your case did you try by moving *socket.io-1.2.0.js* file
(where you refer CDN hosted file in the code) to your local machine and
 refer it?

Re: [Dev] [ML] Progress so far with DL4J

2015-06-17 Thread Thushan Ganegedara
Dear all,

I posted about poor accuracy on deeplearning4j google group and they
replied saying they are aware of this issue (
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/deeplearning4j/gRQH8rA9SQI). They
are currently working on it, to get the tuned examples out soon.

However, from the appearance of their response, deeplearning4j has few
bugs/issues with gradient calculation after they moved to nd4j.

I can see two options right now,

1. Wait till the bugs are fixed and tuned examples are out
2. Write autoencoder myself, adhering to the coding style they have
followed. So the example can be easily integrated with deeplearning4j after
a stable version is out.

Would highly appreciate your feedback.

poor performance from the DL4J user list (if there's one exist)?

You can try importing the correct version from your components (In the pom
file remove dynamic imports and add exact packages and versions to import).
Not sure whether it will resolve the issue or not.

 Hi Sumedha,

Yes, but why would this work on one DB and not on another? That's
 what's puzzling.

 Thanks,

 Hi Shelan, Amila,

Well it might be H2, but it also might be the sequence of steps
that lead to this. We probably can ensure all DBs are cleaned or try
 the
same in a similar setup with no data in any DB (UM, Remote Registry DB
 and
 Local Registry DB).

 Thanks,
 Senaka.

Re: [Dev] Getting a Constraint Violation Exception when invoking an API in the gateway worker

2015-06-17 Thread Senaka Fernando
Hi Evanthika,

Oh! after all these years, :). I believe we can forget about this and
you'll not get it for the next 2 years? :).

Anyway lets see what can be done here. Can you'll please do a favor? Can
you'll turn on the JDBC logs (with the log4jdbc driver) and then share
those log files please? As Sumedha said last, we'll need to see what gets
passed onto the DB when this happens and logs can give a lot of insight.

Thanks,
Senaka.

Yes. I will research on integrating the socket.io code to App Server, if it
becomes successful integrating the socket.io code to jaggery would be the
next step. I will update you on the progress.

 Hi All,

I was able to resolve the issue. The problem was that I was accessing
the socket.io chat app that I created, from the file system. The
correct way to access the chat app was by going to localhost:3000/ ( host
and port, where the server can be accessed indicated by the code in
index.js) in the web browser and there was no need to download the
 socket.io and jquery js files.

Thanks Tharik for helping me get a clear understanding on CORS.

 Regards.

Can you guys check whether same bundles with different versions are packed
in your product? There is a bundle wiring issue here.

[Dev] [ESB] OM Type Properties for Request Payloads

2015-06-17 Thread Hasintha Indrajee
Hi all,

Following are two approaches which I can use to create a payload using a
payload factory.

1) Just replace the body with xml content

   http://services.samples/xsd";>
   $1
   $2

2) Create an *OM type* property which has the request body (This is done
only once) and embed it in content of the body.

   $1

http://services.samples/xsd"/>

Suppose I am re-calling these sequences multiple times. Should there be any
performance differences in these two cases ? even if we have an OM type
payload embedded, does it try to parse the payload again ?

Re: [Dev] [ML][CEP] Server startup error when installing ML features in CEP

Hi Nirmal,

As we discussed earlier, there wasn't any requirement to support
predictions via rest api call, after we switched to predictions without
using spark runtime.

(I'm referring to mail thread 'WSO2 ML Prediction without Spark Runtime')

Thanks.

Hi Sabra,

We definitely can use this if we can check whether same principals can be
applied to a Jaggery app in App server. Then we can use it for the wall
improvements.

 Hi Tharik,

I searched up on CORS (Cross Origin Resource Sharing) and based on my
understanding the problem is that I am trying to access a resource on
another domain from my domain. Therefore a simple solution would be to
download both the *socket.io-1.2.0.js and jquery-1.11.1.js*.

I included them in the directory containing the html file and changed
 the script as follows.

 *.*

 *>>> src="jquery-1.11.1.js">*

 *.*
 But the error still persists.

 Regards.

[Dev] WebApp classloading issue

2015-06-17 Thread Gimantha Bandara
Hi all,

We are getting this error [1] intermittently in DAS 3.0.0 (kernel is
4.4.0). Note that we we are getting this issue after including content
search registry feature in p2-profile. If we removed content search feature
we dont get this issue. Both Content-search feature and our Analytics
feature use lucene orbit bundles, but the versions of lucene bundles each
feature uses are different.

Any idea about this issue?

Re: [Dev] [GSoC-2015] Proposal 6- AppFactory Command Line Tool

2015-06-17 Thread Fathima Dilhasha
Hi Dimuthu,

I suggested a rule based engine over a switch case based approach taking
following things into consideration.

   - reduction in the time taken to evaluate a command over a switch case
   based approach
   - allows for maximum reuse of the code
   - easier to extend for any new commands
   - have been used by similar CLI tools

Please find the attached class diagram for the basic design of rule based
engine. The basic idea is to have several implementations for the Command,
so that all the available commands can be maintained in the command Factory.

Your feedback and suggestions on this are highly appreciated.

Thanks.
Regards,
Dilhasha

 Hi,

 *Progress Update*

I have started the implementation of the CLI tool for WSO2 App Factory
and I have been able to build an initial CLI tool (Showing help commands)
compatible with Linux, windows and mac OS.

As the next step I came up with a design for a rule based engine to
evaluate and execute commands within the tool. The implementation of the
 rule engine is in progress.

Currently, I am trying to use go-curl [1
] for the execution of the
commands. The next progress discussion for $subject is to be held on
 Monday, 15th.

Hi Tanya,

Does this change compliance with select2 plugin ? Because UX team
integrated select2 plugin into our publisher, to add and list tags.

Thanks

[Dev] [ES] Refactoring the tags search api in carbon store

2015-06-17 Thread Tanya Madurapperuma
Hi,

We have refactored ES tags api as follows to be consistent with the rest of
the ES apis.

*option 1* : returns names of all the tags and their count for the given
asset type
*api request template*
/apis/tags?type=

ex: https://localhost:9443/publisher/apis/tags?type=gadget

*sample response*
[{"name" : "charts", "count" : 13.0}, {"name" : "hbar", "count" : 1.0},
{"name" : "visualization", "count" : 13.0}, {"name" : "mix", "count" : 1.0}]

*option 2* : return tags which has the given tag name and belongs to the
given asset type
*api request template*
/apis/tags?type=&q="name":""

ex: https://localhost:9443/publisher/apis/tags?type=gadget&q="name":"wso2";

*sample response*
[{"name" : "wso2", "count" : 5}]

*options 3 *: returns all the tags
*api request template*
/apis/tags

Option 3 is not yet implemented and will be a future enhancement.

We have exposed the api in both the publisher and store.
Currently changes are pushed to store_771 branch in carbon-store repo and
will be merging to the master once the 2.2.0 release is done. So the
aforementioned changes will be available in the 2.3.0 release of the
carbon-store.

Thanks,
Tanya

[Dev] Cross Origin Request Blocked when using socket.io

2015-06-17 Thread Sabra Ossen
Hi Dimuthu,

I believe so. By following the blog I was able to use Nginx and socket.io
in load balancing a real time chat app which was hosted using node js,
whereas the same principle is applicable if the jaggery files ( content we
serve from the server ) as well as the server contains socket.io code
integrated.

Thanks.

 Hi Sabra,

This happens because of same origin policy where that specific resource
hosted at some other domain and javascript is running on local machine. To
resolve that usually CORS headers needs to be added to the response from
 the server side.

In your case did you try by moving *socket.io-1.2.0.js* file (where
you refer CDN hosted file in the code) to your local machine and refer it?

 Hi Manoj,

With MB 3.0.0 approaching its alpha release, This is with regards
 to jira [1].

Since carbon 4.3.0 is planned to release this as a separate
feature, do we need to include cipher-tool files within our product
 pack ?

As per current situation, MB 3.0.0 release is only dependent on the
carbon kernel release. Will this feature also be released as part of
 the
 kernel ?

+1. Here, common Spark feature would contain I guess, the core Spark

will have our own specific Spark features like Spark SQL and MLlib.

Re: [Dev] Getting a Constraint Violation Exception when invoking an API in the gateway worker

2015-06-17 Thread Asanthi Kulasinghe
Hi,

The same error could be reproduced on the ESB 4.9.0 Test setup (1 Manager
and 2 worker nodes fronted by Nginx, DB - Oracle ) when invoking a proxy
service.

When the issue was reproduced
1. The local registry was pointed to the default H2 DB
2. Database URL was defined with the absolute path as suggested under [1]

Could get rid of the error by pointing the local registry to an Oracle DB
as suggested in this thread

Re: [Dev] [Architecture] Suggestion to add a separate DLC table for WSO2MB in order to enhance performance

2015-06-17 Thread Sasikala Kottegoda
Hi Hasitha,

I think, the problem will be solved in cassandra too.

As for the current design, there will be a row for each of the DLC queues
(with no information as to which storageQueue it was moved from). If we are
to purge a specific queue, we need to iterate through each of these dlc
queues and check message metadata to find that information.

But from this, we can directly access the messages moved from a particular
storageQueue.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you

 Hi all,

Currently WSO2MB stores message metadata in a single table with the
 following attributes:

1. MESSAGE_ID
2. QUEUE_ID
3. MESSAGE_METADATA

Also, WSO2MB supports movement of messages to a DLC (dead letter
channel) when a problem is identified in the receiver's end. When moving a
message from a queue to a DLC, the DLCQueueName (which is tenant specific)
is retrieved, the metadata row under the relevant storageQueue is removed
and a new metadata row is added with the QUEUE_ID set to the DLC queue.

 Therefore, when we need to,

- reroute messages for a specific queue
- purge a particular queue

we need to retrieve MESSAGE_METADATA of each row with the QUEUE_ID set
to any DLCQueue and extract the actual storageQueue (The storageQueue is
one of the information stored under the MESSAGE_METADATA attribute). This
operation is highly computationally expensive since we need to read all
rows for all DLC queues even though we might actually have a few relevant
 rows.

What I'm suggesting is to have a seperate MB_DLC_METADATA table with
the following attributes (same as the MB_METADATA table):

1. MESSAGE_ID
2. SOTRAGE_QUEUE_ID
3. MESSAGE_METADATA

The respective cassandra column family (DLCMetaData) structure will be
the same as the current cassandra MetaData column family. Each row will
have storageQueue as the key, each message as a column with the message_id
as the column name and metadata as the value as follows:

 Queue_ID

 m_id1

 m_id2

 m_id3

 meta1

 meta2

 meta3

By having this we will be able to easily filter out messages by the
storageQueue from which the messages were moved. Therefore, it will save a
lot of time and memory in the previously mentioned scenarios and in any
 other DLC specific operations.

Comments and suggestions are highly valued.

 Thank you

[Dev] [Architecture] Suggestion to add a separate DLC table for WSO2MB in order to enhance performance

2015-06-17 Thread Sasikala Kottegoda
Hi all,

Currently WSO2MB stores message metadata in a single table with the
following attributes:

   1. MESSAGE_ID
   2. QUEUE_ID
   3. MESSAGE_METADATA

Also, WSO2MB supports movement of messages to a DLC (dead letter channel)
when a problem is identified in the receiver's end. When moving a message
from a queue to a DLC, the DLCQueueName (which is tenant specific) is
retrieved, the metadata row under the relevant storageQueue is removed and
a new metadata row is added with the QUEUE_ID set to the DLC queue.

Therefore, when we need to,

   - reroute messages for a specific queue
   - purge a particular queue

we need to retrieve MESSAGE_METADATA of each row with the QUEUE_ID set to
any DLCQueue and extract the actual storageQueue (The storageQueue is one
of the information stored under the MESSAGE_METADATA attribute). This
operation is highly computationally expensive since we need to read all
rows for all DLC queues even though we might actually have a few relevant
rows.

What I'm suggesting is to have a seperate MB_DLC_METADATA table with the
following attributes (same as the MB_METADATA table):

   1. MESSAGE_ID
   2. SOTRAGE_QUEUE_ID
   3. MESSAGE_METADATA

The respective cassandra column family (DLCMetaData) structure will be the
same as the current cassandra MetaData column family. Each row will have
storageQueue as the key, each message as a column with the message_id as
the column name and metadata as the value as follows:

Queue_ID

m_id1

m_id2

m_id3

meta1

meta2

meta3

By having this we will be able to easily filter out messages by the
storageQueue from which the messages were moved. Therefore, it will save a
lot of time and memory in the previously mentioned scenarios and in any
other DLC specific operations.

Comments and suggestions are highly valued.

Thank you

It may not be by default created. When you add a new stream, it will be
created. And also, we already have a JIRA for cleaning up the older folder
structure, and to create new blank folders.

[Dev] Enterprise Store - Template changes

2015-06-17 Thread Chanaka Jayasena
Hi devs,

This is to inform that the template structure has changed in Store
application slightly in order to support infinite scrolling.

A new template file is introduce "assets-thumbnails.hbs" and the content is
asynchronously updated while the page is scrolling and resizing. If the
assets.hbs has been overridden in a custom extension the infinite scroll
will not work with them. In that case please merge the code in extensions
with the new one to enable this feature.

thanks,
Chanaka

 Hi All,

I am following the tutorial mentioned in [1] and trying to create a
chat application using socket.io and node js.

I have installed express and socket.io on my machine. The versions are
 specified in the package.json below.

 *{ "name": "socket-chat-example", "version": "0.0.1", "description":
 "my first socket.io  app",  "dependencies": {
 "express": "~4.10.2","socket.io ": "~1.2.0"  }}*

The node server code is specified below.

 *var app = require('express')();var http =
 require('http').Server(app);var io = require('socket.io
 ')(http);app.get('/', function(req, res){
 res.sendFile(__dirname + '/index.html');});io.on('connection',
 function(socket){  socket.on('chat message', function(msg){
 io.emit('chat message', msg);  });});http.listen(3000, function(){
 console.log('listening on *:3000');});*

The content of the html file being accessed is specified below.

 *  Socket.IO chat
   * { margin: 0; padding: 0; box-sizing: border-box; }  body
 { font: 13px Helvetica, Arial; } form { background: #000; padding:
 3px; position: fixed; bottom: 0; width: 100%; } form input { border:
 0; padding: 10px; width: 90%; margin-right: .5%; }  form button {
 width: 9%; background: rgb(130, 224, 255); border: none; padding: 10px;
 }  #messages { list-style-type: none; margin: 0; padding: 0; }
 #messages li { padding: 5px 10px; }  #messages li:nth-child(odd) {
 background: #eee; }>>> id="messages"> >>> autocomplete="off" />Send>>> src="https://cdn.socket.io/socket.io-1.2.0.js
 <https://cdn.socket.io/socket.io-1.2.0.js>">>>> src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.js
 <http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.js>"> var
 socket = io();  $('form').submit(function(){socket.emit('chat
 message', $('#m').val());$('#m').val('');return false;
 });  socket.on('chat message', function(msg){
 $('#messages').append($('

I am getting the following error in the firefox console with the app failing. *Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at http://file/socket.io/?EIO=3&transport=polling&t=1434211017174-2 .
