[development-axapta] AOS SETUP

2004-09-29 Thread deepakbradoo

Hay Guys

We are facing some problem with AOS setup.Our Client is located at
multiple location and the data base is kept at a central location
that is there Head office. Now we tried to setup AOS and were able to
do it with 2 live ip's (With one IP at one end and the other IP at
the other end). Now when we try it with one Ip only it doesn't
work.i gave this live Ip in my system directory and bin directory of
AOS and i also mentioned the port no and the database name there,when
i accessed it on the server(AOS,Database,Application are kept on the
same machine) my AOS runs properly but when i access it on the client
at remote location it gives me an error
"NO NAVISION AXAPTA SERVERFOUND IN CURRENT CLIENT CONFIGURATION".At
my client location i have already mentioned the IP address and Axapta
server host name and axapta object server mask.

The axapta Object server mask is Axapta
Axapta server host name mentioned is the live IP address.

Please suggest me what to do and please send me any document if
possible.

Regards
Deepak

AW: [development-axapta] refresh of datagrid

2004-09-29 Thread Matthias Schuster

Hi Jesmond,

here is a short description on the datasourcename_ds.research method from the developer handbook:
The super() (research method on the datasource) call refreshes the database search defined by the query automatically generated in
the init method.
Corresponds to re-activating executeQuery with the exception that research preserves the query's filter, sorting and so on.
research vs. executeQuery. If you want to refresh the form with records that were inserted in a method or job that was called, then
you should use research.
If you want to change the query to show other records, perhaps based on a modified filter, then you should use executeQuery.
Therfore you have to apply TableName_ds.research() method.

Re: [development-axapta] Access Outlook Appointments and Tasks through COM

2004-09-29 Thread Amund
Hi,
have a look at e.g. Class\WebOutlookTaskWebLet, which walks through
Outlook tasks. Appointments should work in a similar way.

Each task's Categories field can be reached by the method
task.Categories().

For getting a grip of the Outlook Object Model, MicroSoft's Outlook VBA
help file VBAOUTL?.chm is a good place to start.

[development-axapta] Re: Full compilation necessary?

2004-09-29 Thread bmp_thydatacenter_dk

If you copy all *.aod files from the test system to the production
system no compilation is required.

But if the build number of the application is changed (typically new
SP etc.) then the wizard will require a new compilation. This can be
avoided by modifying \Classes\SysCheckListItem_Compile\new to make
the call "this.indeterminate(true);" unconditional.

There is not stored any compilation information in the database, but
a build number of the last compilation is saved to control the
upgrade wizard.

[development-axapta] Full compilation necessary?

2004-09-29 Thread Thomas Kristiansen

Hello

We have, a development system, a test system and a
productive system. The changes in the developement
system are exported to the test system (BUS-layer:
axbus.aod copied, VAR-layer: project exported and
imported). In the test system we then make a full
compilation. When we find everything fine there. We
overwrite the productive application with the test
application. Is it necessary to compile the
application again in the productive system? Or is it
enough just to synchronize? I mean it shouldn't be
necessary to compile again because the application is
an exact copy. But I'm not sure if something is saved
in the database when compiling.

Thanks.

Override the execute section of footer:

if(bodyTransCount<36)
{
  While (bodyTransCount<=36)
  {
    Element.execute(5); // 5 is the control number of
programmable section
    bodyTransCount ++;
  }
}
super();

I hope this will help.

Thanks Jason,

your solution doesn't work for a few count of items (less than 36).
If i have only 1 item, how can i reach the top of footer with a
drawing line ?

Re: [development-axapta] Axapta Source control

2004-09-29 Thread Steen Rabøl

Hi

We did it last year as a internal project for our new emplyees here in
Ukraine.
There is a VSS browser, where you can drag'n drop elements, see history, get
older versions,context menus in AOT to checkin/checkout, show history etc.
We also made, manual, training materials including "video".

I'll find a way to provide you with the manual, so you can see it. I don't
know if it is allowd to attach PDF files to this list, if not send me an
email, and I'll send the manual to you.

The price range is $1500-2000

Hi,

I've got a question regarding the grandtotal on reports.

In Accounts Payable==> Reports ==> Transactions ==> Vendor ==>
Account Statement
in the select Screen, tab printoptions there is a checkbox Grand
Total.  when I check this the repport shows a label at the end
saying Grand Total but there is no amount.  How can I get the total

[development-axapta] Calling fieldNum from .Net

2004-09-29 Thread quinn_richard

Hi Group,

I am writing an app in .NET which retrieves price information from
the InventTable and InventTableModule.

I can call the tables individually like this:

axDataSourcePrimary = (IAxaptaObject)axQuery.Call("AddDataSource",
mt.mainTable,"","","","","");

where mt.MainTable contains the table number. I then add another data
Source to the first containing the InventTableModule:

axDataSourceSecondary = (IAxaptaObject)axDataSourcePrimary.Call
("AddDataSource", lt.mainTable,"","","","","");

where lt represents the linked table.
But how do I set the addLink? In Axapta one might call something like

axDataSourcePrimary.addLink(fieldNum (InventTable, ItemID), fieldNum
(InventTableModule, ItemID));

where fieldNum returns a QueryRange. What I need to do is something
like this in .net:

axDataSourceSecondary.Call
("addLink","TableNumA,FieldNumA","TableNumB,FieldNumB","","","","");

But this obviously doesn't work. So does anybody know how to call
hierarchical queries in .Net?

Thanks,

Richard
