Hi, When a user accesses the EPDocuInfoAdd form, I would like to automatically default the TypeId to a certain document type, when called from a custom form. Any suggestions how to default the AxBoundField control? Appreciate the assistance. Bill
[development-axapta] Enterprise Portal - Access to EmplTable
Hi, I'll get the following error messages in my Enterprise Portal application (AX2009 SP1 - WSS 3.0): User 'mustm' is not authorized to select a record in table 'EMPLTABLE'. Request denied. Cannot select a record in Employee (EmplTable). Access Denied: You do not have sufficient authorization to modify data in database. The error appears sometimes and sometimes not! If I refresh the page the error will disappear and the appropriate functions work fine. I set the permission of the EmplTable to 'Full control' - that's why I don't understand the error message! Anyone experienced with this error?? Thanks for the help...
[development-axapta] Enterprise Portal: Calling a method on clicked with a popup window
Hey all, This seems to be a conundrum. I need to override/replace the View totals link in the sales basket web form with something that has the clicked function, so that I can call a self made function when you click the link. I tried with a WebButton, which works great except for one thing: I can't get it to open the new web form in a popup window. The original View totals link was a weblet which used the layout function to override how the link looked/acted, but it doesn't have a clicked function to override. I have tried: - Weblink: with the functions openInNewWindow, menuFunction, asppage and opening it with websession().redirect(), both with the weblink object and the URL. All I get from this is a web page error saying the web page cannot be opened or doesn't exist. I am using Axapta 3 SP 4. I have searched the internet high and low, but all I get is what I already know doesn't in this situation. Any help will be greatly appreciated. With regards, Christian
[development-axapta] Enterprise Portal SalesBasket: How to get the line marks
Hey everybody, I need to catch selected lines on a grid in Enterprise Portal. I know about FormDataSource.getFirst(true) and .getNext(), but for some reason this doesn't work. Even when I mark them at creation in the code - which works fine - Axapta refuses to acknowledge that the web grid has any selected lines. I even looked at the delete marked function that the same web form uses, and it's doing the same thing I am. Is there something I'm forgetting or don't know about? Is it really that different on a web form than in the application? Thanks in advance, Christian

[development-axapta] Enterprise Portal parametre problem
Hello, I'm upgrading my customer AX3.0 to AX4.0. At 3.0 web portal, in a web form, there are 3 groups and in every group there is a webbutton. These webbuttons are getting groups as visible or invisible. But at 4.0, For example at first group (others are invisible) i write custaccount in a webedit, and i click continue button. first group gets invisible, and second group gets visible, but i lost my custaccount. Why does it happens, what can i do? [development-axapta] Enterprise Portal Login
Hi, I have an Enterprise Portal site that works fine for some users. Other users can't see anything when they log in (they can't even see the tabs for home, sales etc.), even though the users are in the exact same groups in AX and on the SharePoint site. I've tried to put one of the users in the administration group, but that doesn't help either. When the 'normal' users are logged on to the site, they appear as web users in the online users list. When the users that can't see anything are logged on to the SharePoint site, they do not appear in the same list, so the problem seems to be in the logon to AX, but I can't figure out what it is. On the Computer was already Sharpoint Services 2.0 installed, so i first uninstalled them and the IIS. After then i followed the instruction until Configuring and Deploy Enterprise Portal. When finishing the Configuration Wizard i got an Error Message CLR Object is not initialized. Object ,CLRObject' could not be created. I verified all settings, but couldn't find a mistake. Any Ideas? [development-axapta] Enterprise Portal Logo
Axapta Version is 3.0 SP5 Enterprise Portal works fine, but the logo shown in the header is not the right one. I've tried to change the resources LightCompanyLogo_... but with no effect. I've changed the logo in internetParameter and companyInfo with no effect. The button deploy from Website didn't help out and reseting the IIS seems not to help. In development - Web - Web Pages - Standard Pages - EPHeader everything looks good, the right logo. But opening with a browser the wrong logo is shown. Every idea of getting a new logo for the enterprise portal is welcome. Greetz
[development-axapta] Enterprise portal datasource refresh (edit methods)
Hi, I have a lot of refresh problems with datasources in webforms... The main problems occur with the controls linked to an edit method. Those edit methods are created on the table level and they works well on the entreprise portal 3.0. Now, on 4.0, when I try to sort a column or to save the datagrid, the data shown in those edit controls are completely random... Thank for your answers/suggestions, Steve
[development-axapta] Enterprise portal WebSession
Hi, I have observed a strange behavior with the websession class on the 4.0 enterprise portal (Sharepoint). It seems that a new instance of the class is created each time we open a webpage in the EP. According to me it was not the case in the 3.0 EP, where the websession object was created only when the user logon on the EPHomePageOffline webpage... then this websession object remained available on all the webpages linked to the current session... Is this behavior normal on the 4.0 EP ? This class was a great way to exchange parameters between webpages... so now the solution I have found to exchange parameters is to use the SysGlobalCache which works well on the web too... IIS v6 default web site goes correctly When I am trying to start first page I get an error message 404-file or directory not found User rights are administrator. Where could be the problem ??? Server library: D:\Axapta\Enterprise Portals\Axapta Portal
Directory: \\GLOBAL2\\D$\Axapta\Enterprise Portals\Axapta
Portal
The server library and directory are pointing at the root folder of my
web site.
Anyone got any more suggestions? This is driving me nuts. :-)

Does anyone know what are the basic rights required to view the following Web Parts: OutlookCalendar Weather StockQuotes The EP has been up and running for some time now, but we havent managed to make the above web parts visible for all users in their welcome page. A few things: - Start the Business Connector with the interactive user logged on. - Log on to the BC with a configuration (not a configuration file). - Set the breakpoint with the same Axapta user that is logged on the web. Hi! To try the EP debugging first use an axapta user who member of the Admin group. 1. Delete the COM+ 2. Set the user settings to this user. 3. Set the Allow debugging of X++ code running in the Axapta Bussines Connector settings. 4. Register the COM+ 5. Make a new EP with the wizard and select the configuration that you built before. 6. Make a new webuser and select the axapta user which is in the configuration. 7. Login to Axapta with the same user. The EP debugging works only if all the users are the same! Iam have created a custom web form to add/edit data in a custom table. MohandraZee, I am detailing the basic steps involved in setting up the Portal. You need to just read the below given steps and then open up the document attached and BLINDLY goes through The instruction given in the same. Steps for Setting Up Enterprise Portal. Set up Internet Information Services (IIS). Contact your Network Admn and get the CD Set up the Businesss Connector. Its helps you connect the Axapta from anywhere In the internet to the Axapta Server. Make the necessary field level selection here. Create a website in Axapta. Go to the Administration Menu=Internet= Website The Easy to use Wizard will help you here Set up the Users for the Website. These are the users who can access the portal from Anywhere in the Internet to the Axapta using a user name and password . Much like You access the hotmail. The Easy to use Wizard will help you here Now set up the Enterprise Portal. This will help you give the properties of the portal to the Website given. The Easy to use Wizard will help you here. The portal is set up and now tests it using the IP from a remote (another computer). Make changes in the fields published in the Portal view and see if those changes are getting reflected in the Axapta Server. No do the reverse. Make changes in the Axapta Server and see if they are getting reflected in web page. If the fields are getting successful then you are on the right path PS; There might be some glitches and you should be able to handle it . Again Please go through the Microsoft web cast on the EnterprisePortal PS: The document was initially given to me by an Ax Village Member. EP does not run with Windows Server 2003. You have to wait until the release of Windows Server 2003 SP1. With that combination MBS will run the certification tests for Axapta and EP. [development-axapta] Enterprise Portal issues
Hello, I have noticed that while several users are browsing Enterprise Portal all of them are served by Axapta on first-in-first-out basis, that is, there is no any parallelism between user actions, and if one of the users initiates a long transaction during which another user requests to show a simple form with data taken from one small table, then that user will have to wait until the first user's transaction is ended. Why is that? Can Business Connector process several request at the same time? Also, sometimes Enterprise Portal stops responding when several users try to login to Axapta at the same time. [development-axapta] Enterprise Portal - web form filter problem
i have a new table called MemoPad, one webform called MemoPadList, and another webform called MemoPadInfo, and 2 menu items for each of these web forms. MemoPadList has a grid and display the list of records in the new table. MemoPadInfo show the details of one record. When i click one of the record in the grid, it should go to MemoPadList page and display the details of that particular record. Now my problem is no matter whichever record i click on the MemoPadList page, the MemoPadInfo page will always display the details of the first record. I do the same steps, but now using SalesTable or any one of the existing Axapta table, then the filter is working. Could anyone help on this? Do i need to configure something on the new table that i create so that in the MemoPadInfo page, it will automatic filter the record i selected in previous MemoPadList page? Yahoo!
