Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] usage of "light" web module

obligations on DHIS 2.28 DHIS 2.29 DHIS 2.30 perhaps I belive these are the
three revisions which should be good to address most of the illusions.

 Hi all,

the "light" web module for data entry, typically used by low-end mobile
phones, is aging. We are interested in learning to what extent this module
is being used to understand whether we should invest in developing a new
version of it. If you are using the module, or aware of anyone using it,
please let us know either here on the list or directly to me.

This is the module being referred to:

some functionalities are not working now i belive it's academic issue to

those who have just started learning DHIS they will learn sonar or later
how to climb on DHIS.

 Hi Stephen,

a DHIS 2 data value is linked to data elements, not data sets. The
implication is that if you have a data element being part of multiple data
sets and enter a data value for the first data set, then the data value
will show up pre-filled in the other data set when you open it. So there
will not be duplication, but you will not be able to have different data
values for that data element, as the data element will point to the same
data value irrespective of which data set you open. I am assuming that the
same org unit, period and data set category has been selected in the this
 scenario.

 Lars

Re: [Dhis2-users] Urgent :yes/no Data Element Saving issue in Tracker form sometime

2016-11-21 Thread Brajesh Murari
Hi Dipali

It implies your main question is you have some data element with input type
specified as Yes/No in the form of check box which does't save data value
after periodic data entry in their associated respected dataset which
does't show entered values neither on data set form nor on any relative
report !!! If this is true than, you are missing one step which need to
perform in between these two process data entry and report generation which
is "analytic".

It seems more like a system generated report, Perhaps, it would be nice if
you could share us some concrete plan for doing some testing on DHIS2.25
like manual testing, automation testing, regression testing, load testing,
black box and white box functional testing etc. and that should be very
appreciable much required to all the developers working actively on DHIS2.

thank you.

Absalom,

Postgis 9.5.3 don't exist... The latest version of postgis to use with
PostgreSQL 9.5.2+ is Postgis 2.3.0

just note this from the download instructions:
*Make sure you are using PostgreSQL 9.5.2+ or PostgreSQL 9.4.7+ or
PostgreSQL 9.6.0+.*

Otherwise follow Morten's advice - press CTRL-SHIFT-J to open the Chrome
console (then check the Console tab), and look for errors which might give
a clue.

Calle

Re: [Dhis2-users] Program indicator to count the no. of events where a data value consists of say 'a'.

2016-10-20 Thread Brajesh Murari
Hello Dipali,

You can create and formulate an indicator, where you would be able to
count/calculate number of inputs like a formula. Perhaps, the count of
identifying a special letter or any special search with certain criteria in
input value of a data-element available in indicator is not valid at this
point of time in DHIS2.

In your case as you have described, where you would be able to count
"Person possess laboratory ID" with input type with option set "Yes/No" can
be countable in present scenario but "Person possess laboratory ID where
laboratory ID contains alphabet 'a'" which should be filtered from inputs
is not fissile. Perhaps this case can be resolved with creating a
data-element "Person possess laboratory ID where ID contains alphabet 'a'"
with input type option set "Yes/No" can be countable and measurable with
specific time frame. And with the help of this data-element you would be
able to create programme indicator that should be able to do this
measurement.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] 25 hours in completing Analytic

2016-10-19 Thread Brajesh Murari
Dear Neeraj,

The physical database size doesn't matter much, even the number of records
don't matter. In my experience the biggest problem that one can going to
run in to is not size, but the number of queries you can handle at a time
instance specially during analytic functionality execution. Most probably
you should going to have to move to a master/slave configuration of your
database, so that the read queries can run against the slaves and the write
queries run against the master. However, if you and your database
management team are not ready for this than, you can tweak your indexes for
the queries you are running to speed up the response times. Also there is a
lot of tweaking you can do to the network stack and kernel in Linux where
MySQL Server has been installed that will help.Perhaps, I would focus first
on your indexes, then have a server admin look at your OS, and if all that
doesn't help it might be time to implement a master/slave configuration.
The most important scalability factor is RAM. If the indexes of your tables
fit into memory and your queries are highly optimized in analytic
functionality, you can serve a reasonable amount of requests with a average
machine. The number of records do matter, depending of how your tables look
like. It's a difference to have a lot of varchar fields or only a couple of
ints or longs. The physical size of the database matters as well, think of
backups, for instance. Depending on your engine, your physical db files on
grow, but don't shrink, for instance with innodb. So deleting a lot of
rows, doesn't help to shrink your physical files. Thus the database size
does matter. If you have more than one table with more than a million
records, then performance starts indeed to degrade. Indexig is one of the
important stand need to take care, If you hit one million records you will
get performance problems, if the indices are not set right (for example no
indices for fields in "WHERE statements" or "ON conditions" in joins). If
you hit 10 million records, you will start to get performance problems even
if you have all your indices right. Hardware upgrades - adding more memory
and more processor power, especially memory - often help to reduce the most
severe problems by increasing the performance again, at least to a certain
degree.

[Dhis2-users] how could i save some value in "Datavalue" table for input with "No Value" radio button ?

2016-09-27 Thread Brajesh Murari
Hello Dev,

Since i am assigning a dataelement with data type value (yes/no) to a
dataset, and when i am doing data entry for period type monthly,
the input appears with three different type of values with radio buttons
ie, "No value","Yes","No".

Here, if i am selecting input with "No" radio button, it saves as "False"
as value in "Datavalue" table.
Or, if i am selecting input with "Yes" radio button, it saves as "True" as
value in "Datavalue" table.
Or, if i am selecting input with "No Value" radio button, it doe't saves
anything as value in "Datavalue" table.

My question is, for some specific requirement, how could i save some value
in "Datavalue" table for input with "No Value" radio button ?

Hello Devs,

While creating data sets, i found there is a drop-down selection
"Combination of categories", which appears with default value in drop-down.
Can anybody on list define its use in developing or designing a dataset or

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Version 2.16 vs 2.17 : assign a Dataset from the OU group and that reverberate to organizational units of this group

2015-03-03 Thread Brajesh Murari
Hi Carlos,

With an award wining nominated post doctoral multidimensional actor network
theory based empirical use case research in Applied Molecular Biological
Informatics in association with Applied Meta Nuclear Physics comes with
outcome that assigning data set to molecular organization unit group some
times comes with very big and fettle data security issue in its vector
atomic models design specially when user use to migrate at-least one
serialized molecular organization unit from assigned molecular organization
unit group with specifically assigned dataset to other remote molecular
organization unit group environment by other scheduled static molecular
organization units of previously assigned molecular organization unit group
with special privileges on memory loading and data integrity checks
operations.

One probable cause should be difference in type of molecular organization
unit with difference in type of molecular organization unit group with rare
to denser or from denser to rare remote migration environment causing up in
inflation
in physical deficits in property value assignment.

Other probable cause could be highly reactive previously assigned molecular
organization units with molecular organization unit group some times starts
playing adversarial and viral role to remotely migrant molecular
organization unit specially on its developed uninterrupted power supply to
central nervous system causing still dominant role by previously assigned
molecular organization unit group.

So, if a subsequent previously assigned molecular organization unit group
plays adverse, viral, confusing and influential role to destination
molecular organization unit group for a molecule organization unit
migration in-spite of getting successful migration without dataset
assignment, than why we should assign any dataset to any static
experimental molecular organization unit group specially when previously
assigned static molecular organization unit group starts playing
intentional, dominant and influancial role on migrant dynamic quantum
molecular organization unit, more specially when static molecular
organization unit group does't have any declarative functionality nor had
property of data compression privileges which is by default all the time
available in migrant dynamic molecular organization unit ?

Re: [Dhis2-users] Encrypt the hibernate.properties file in dhis-live

2014-10-22 Thread Brajesh Murari
Yes Jason, its possible. The Guy is looking either to encrypt
hibernate.property file
using some encryption technique and make it protected from UNauthenticated
access,
However this can be done with some efforts by developers. But Mr. Guy,
question should
be not like it can be done or not, perhaps should be, does it makes some
generic sense !

1. This can works by providing some selective option in DHIS2-Live UI from
where
superuser can perform selective action for accessing global variable
contents either
available in hibernate.property file or from other source stored somewhere
else where
application should read during application start-up routine execution.

2. This can be fixed with some hard coding approach, but this should not be
like generic approach.

3. Look hibernate.property file is playing role like an interface from
where deployed tomcat DHIS2-Live
application searches its specific meta data info either it could be
available in flat file system or in attached
database whatever it could be MySQL, DB2, H2 or PostGRES etc.

This issue has been raised many times on list and discussions in past, but
still open and suppressed
every time on list. I am sure the first approach is practical however
should not be used in general use case.

Regards
BM

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] API resources navigation

2014-08-26 Thread Brajesh Murari
Dear Maheed,

Research & development of restful web services and its integration in
existing DHIS2 frameworks begins with an empirical case study for providing
solution to a very complex use case scenario in which one slandered
statical application developed inside certain environment running on
certain platform on certain virtual machine with certain attached database
with certain object relational data base schema can communicate with
another similar statical application developed in different environment
running on different platform on different virtual machine with different
data base with different object relational schema.

Here in DHIS2, we achieved solution for this complex scenario by developing
an intermediate middle-ware application programme interface or we can say
like an intermediate component like DHIS2 WEB-API or more simply we can say
like a connector which brings an intermediate interface from where DHIS2
can communicate with other similar statical application or multiple
applications like one to one or one to many relationship.

Interesting thing in DHIS2 WEB-API brings intermediate communication
between another multiple applications, and for that it follow certain rules
and regulation which we can say like protocol for communication like
http, ftp, sftp etc and on the top of these protocol these multiple statical
applications interact with each other and exchange some data as per the
request in the form of expected representational state like
json, xml, cvs, atom etc with each other and this way we solve these complex
issues.

Perhaps, I think as per your request and query which evolves with two
different aspects in which one addresses issue for understanding and doing
certain DHIS2 application programme interface analytical study for that you
are looking to access demo web-api with certain request with data and
another you have find some result as response in certain format of data
that you seems might be not as expected and has been addressed as an
web-appl bug.

If i am right, than for your first query, i think DHIS2 restful web-api
services is not as the exact tool for doing this analytical study. Rather,
you can take a help of DHIS2-API documentation, please find as i have
attached in the attachment. And second, it returns with some data in the
form of response after sending some http request, which does't brings data
as should be expected and might be treated as bug in existing functionality
and should be resolved in up-comming releases.

Brajesh

Re: [Dhis2-users] viewing statistics of dataset assignments

2014-08-03 Thread Brajesh Murari
Yes Livi, as you suggested should require addition of one new Boolean data
element in all available dataset, but i think you are missing one very
useful reporting functionality available in DHIS2, ie. Dataset Completeness
Report, that gives us an idea about reporting of specific dataset to
assigned org unit and parent org unit with necessary data elements.

For example, if a dataset consists of 25 data elements, and out of 25,
necessary 4 data elements must be reported for certain time period depends
upon dataset reporting period type in order to consider completeness of
data entry for that period, can be analyzed in DC Report (ie. Dataset
Completeness Report) without defining any specific indicator.

However, for those who are not aware about DC Report functionality, as you
suggested, they can assign one boolean data element in each dataset for
this measurement.

Re: [Dhis2-users] viewing statistics of dataset assignments

2014-08-03 Thread Brajesh Murari
Hi Lavi,

In DHIS2, indicator is always treated as formula or we can say like
mathematical expression.
If you treat Indicator as a mathematical formula that obvious implies that
it should have some denominator & nominator. If you treat Indicator as a
mathematical expression, than that implies
it should have some mathematical operands & mathematical operators. However
Data Element
plays role of mathematical operands that are variable in nature in
Indicator, since their values are measured with multiple time frame for
multiple org unit, means it depends upon two other dimensions of frame of
reference.

It is certain and fissionable to make Indicator expressions, where we can
keep data element
that should measure number of multiple datasets assigned to an org unit and
number of multiple
org units assigned to a dataset, for that we would centrally have to create
data element that should keep total number of data sets available in
application in present time frame & total number of available org units
assigned with the specific data set, both these data elements can be used
in calculating value of indicator that could measured periodically.

2014-07-31 Thread Brajesh Murari
I am not pretty much sure about the web archive resource files older than
version dhis2.10,
but from and later versions war files are still available on DHIS2
continuous integration ( CI )

https://apps.dhis2.org/ci/

You would required to send FTP request for retrieving these files and save
some where on
your local machine.

'Runs on all major's web browser', i think it should be some thing like "Runs

Re: [Dhis2-users] Creation of bulk user.

2014-05-06 Thread Brajesh Murari
Dear Mr. Khan

length of the password should not be an issue in creating bulk users in

DHIS2,if and only if it does't violet any validation checks, like

1. Password should start with Capital letter.
2. Password should contains at least one neumaric character.
3. Password length should not be less than 8 alpha neumaric characters.
4. Password length should not be greater than . ! etc.

There might be n number of ways one can create user in DHIS2.
But if you are using authentic user creation process, than that

should not make any issue in bull users creation.

We are not that much sure, which approach you are following in

creating more than one users in DHIS2 in your personal script.

4. Remove all associations between the org unit and data sets.

I think association is one of the most oldest inherent feature provided in DHIS
development since DHIS 1,
Perhaps, in OOP methodology, association is week relationship and composition
is strong,
some thing like indicators indicating performance of services provided by
facility associated with
organizationunit represents weak relationship, but composition of dataset for
even a very small
new born organizationunit represents a strong relationship, it does't matter
new born organization
unit is still birth or live birth, reporting with attached dataset with reports
to their parent orgnaisationunits
or not but their association with datasets had been always supported  by
various global health
governing system agencies and health systems in most of the developed and under
developed
countries round the globe. This implies that association is week and
composition is strong relationship.
But this does't implies that we should absolutely focused on compositions only,
and loses affirmative and associative services consumptions with other quality
functional multi-threaded, multi-cultural aspect oriented services consumption
provided by old historical attached organizationunit, may be some where on long
distance there would be concept and culture of lion's loosely coupled and weird
but clean relationship, where dataset composition design took-place only after
birth of new born organizationunit, and there could be a culture of multiple
times datasets association-dissociations with orgaisationunit and datasets and
several reforms in datasets hierarchical design.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Indicator

2014-03-31 Thread Brajesh Murari
Hi Jason,

Can you elaborate and provide us little more info about "D" !

Say for example,
eg. Indicator =  ( ("Data Element A" + "Data Element B")  / D )

Here data for "Data Element A" is collected monthly and data for "Data Element
B" is collected
quarterly, than in this use case what would be the value for "D" in above
indicator ?

Does its value would be total number of days in current monthly period or total
number of days in quarterly period !

Please elaborate little more about "D" because it is still not that much clear.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Indicator

2014-03-31 Thread Brajesh Murari
eg. Indicator =  ( Data Element  / (D * 3) )

Here D indicates number of days in current month.

ie. if number of days in current month == 30
than or (D+D+D) or (D*3) will return 90

Similarly, if number of days in current month == 31
than or (D+D+D) or (D*3) will return 93

Similarly, if number of days in current month == 29 ( ie. in leap year )
than or (D+D+D) or (D*3) will return 87

In present scenario, there is no way to define the indicator so that 'D' would
always be the last 3 months.
We can define indicator with addition (+) or multiplication (*)  mathematical
operators with combination
of 'D' for representing approx 3 months' total days count, but not last three
months' total day count.

Keneeth, i think you are looking for D or mathematical expression with D such
that it should return exactly last
three months' total day count !

of another data element
or another data elements.

1. Gender
    Option Set - Male, Female

2. Was the death associated with pregnancy !
   Option Set - Yes, No

3. If Yes, was there a delivery !
   Option Set - Yes, No

In above use case, if "Gender" data element is selected with available option
set "Male" than this should
change the state of other data elements "Was the death associated with
pregnancy !" and "If Yes, was there a delivery !", both these data elements
should be disabled in default data entry form or default program stage instance
form.

Suggestions are appreciated on above use case scenario.

Hi Knut,

It sounds to me like a natural for an app (as you mentioned). If we had "Start
date" and "End date" in a YEARLY dataset, that might preclude two outbreaks (by
any other name) for the same year and same organisation unit, so that might not
be the best method for data entry. (And outbreaks that span the new year would
still have to be entered twice.)

Interesting idea about entering through time on the same form. I wonder what
that would look like. Would the periods be columns? Given that we already use
columns for disaggregations, that might make the form too wide -- so maybe the
periods would be rows. I wonder how the number of periods would be determined
-- perhaps specify the number in the form design (or in the data set for an
automatically-generated form), or maybe specify a longer period type and show
all periods within the longer duration.

Most of all I wonder what other use cases there might be for entry over
multiple time periods. Is this worth building in, or is it best done by an app?
It seems like a good idea to develop apps for a lot of specialized
requirements, and maybe even some common ones. How much have we developed our
philosophy about when to put things in apps and when in the core product?

Cheers,
Jim

I think "Insurgency" or 'Inception' would be nice to use for 'outbreak' in

Hi Knut,

My two cents as we recently experienced a measles 'outbreak'.

First, better not to call it an 'outbreak'. Health officials are very sensitive
about the term. We can gain their confidence if we don't "presume" an outbreak
by labeling it as such on the interface.

Second, we missed this 'outbreak' in Metro Manila (of all places!) because the
health workers waited for official lab confirmation (which takes 3 weeks in
this part of the world). The health workers forgot to execute the protocol that
if the 3Cs are present (colds, cohryza, conjunctivitis) they should suspect
measles and immediately vaccinate the surrounding children.

Lesson: if any child comes in with any one of the 3Cs, the information system
should alert them for the other 2Cs. The 3Cs will be reported upwards and it
will be a syndromic report and not an outbreak report.

The first syndromes (in retrospect) started coming in as early as August but it
was only December when the trend became evident (due to the lack of near-real
time reporting and health worker forgetting the protocol).

I fully support this initiative. Such a system, if it works, could have saved
lives in the Philippines. A better name might be DHIS2 syndromic surveillance
decision support system with the ability to inform officials of dangerous
trends.

We'll leave it up to the health officials to call it an outbreak.

Alvin

Re: [Dhis2-users] security vulnerability detected - dhis upgrade required

2013-12-25 Thread Brajesh Murari
Dear Lars,

Its great news for DHIS2 regular users and system administrators, that one of
big security vulnerability has been found/detected and remedial action can be
taken to resolve the problem. But i am not that much sure that most of the
implementers would like to upgrade live application on their server only for
this problem, who are using DHIS 2.12build as an assumption as a very good
stable release in series so far since they are using DHIS 2. Its good that
application should be upgraded DHIS 2.12 to DHIS 2.13 on live servers, but at
the same time scrum masters should also release some stable patches releases as
well for DHIS 2.12 release for fixingabove stated like problems, that will
prevent unnecessary wastage of time and money in system application version
up-gradation only for fixing miner problem. Because in normal and general
software implementation practices, we use to release patches to fix these types
of issues, at the same time implementers
 expectations are the same.

 wrote:

Hi,

we have recently detected a security exploit on a couple of servers running
dhis. The exploit seems to result in shell access with permissions of the user
which is running tomcat.

Symptoms of the exploit are presence of:

- a file /tmp/fake.cfg.
- various files with numeric-only names in /tmp directory.
- massive outgoing network traffic (> 200 Gb per day).

The files will be owned by the user running tomcat. The outgoing network
traffic is likely to be part of denial-of-service attacks against other servers.

Cause of the exploit is likely to be one or more weaknesses in Struts 2, which
is a web framework used in dhis. These weaknesses have been fixed in Struts
version 2.3.15.1. We have upgraded dhis version 2.12, 2.13 and snapshot/trunk
with the new version. You can download the new WAR files from
dhis2.org/downloads as usual.

To remove the exploit you should do the following:

- stop tomcat
- upgrade your dhis version (to 2.12 or 2.13)
- remove all of the above mentioned files from /tmp (all owned by tomcat user).
- kill all processes owned by the tomcat user, or simply reboot the server.
- delete all files and folders under /work/Catalina (not
confirmed but to be on the safe side).

If you have been running tomcat as root (sudo) then a full operating system
re-install is recommended. There is no way to completely verify what an exploit
can do with full permissions. Running tomcat as root is strictly discouraged in
any case.

Summary

- In any case you should upgrade your dhis version, whether you see the
symptoms or not.
- If you see the symptoms but have been running dhis with regular, non-root
privileges, you will be fine by following the removal steps.
- If you see the symptoms and have been running dhis with root privileges, you
should do a clean server installation.

Lars

A solution which requires some technical know-how is to check out the

revision 841 so checking out 840 will do:

bzr branch lp:~dhis2-documenters/dhis2/dhis2-docbook-docs -r 840

mvn clean package

Otherwise things haven't changed much so a trick could be to simply change the

Hi,

we are happy to announce that Abyot Gizaw joins the DHIS 2 team as software
developer. Abyot has been part of the DHIS community for a long time and has
developed several components of the software. Over the last years he's been a
research fellow at the University of Oslo and he lately submitted his PhD
thesis.

Abyot has great knowledge of the case-based data domain and will be a very
valuable addition to our team. We are happy to get you on board full-time.
Welcome!

Hi Joseph,

$DHIS2_HOME contains hibernate.property file must be configured with proper
dhis2 database instance installed along

with apporiate user name and password. No problem you can call dhis2
application login page with localhost:8080

Hi Jason,

There is a difference, how you are thinking about a community based
information system developed by using great methodology for doing certain
good work, however it varies from person to person, perhaps we can simply
categories like given below,

1. DHIS2 -- As a data enty end user / data analyst user
2. DHIS2 -- As a core developer
3. DHIS2 -- As a system administrator
4. DHIS2 -- As s solution architect
5. DHIS2 -- As a business analyst
6. DHIS2 -- As a 66 Hacker
7. DHIS2 -- As a consultant / trainer / coordinator
8. DHIS2 -- As a program manager

Can you make us little more clear where would you like to put yourself for
finding solution of proposed pretty use case generated in trail email based
on your best findings / suggested option ?

I think you will get even better option / solution when you will put your self
at best place to
look into the scenario. At lest, i think a solution architect can't suggest
to do a work around "hack" which is no way gone a be appreciated in DHIS2
Community.

Hi Martin,

I am totally agreed with you and the painful process of user creation in
DHIS2, specially, if some one need to create thousands of users by
following steeps given in the link below

http://www.dhis2.org/doc/snapshot/en/user/html/ch02s03.html

But still, I would recommend you to follow these standard steeps given in
above link for user creation in DHIS2, this is most trusted and
officially recommended. This is one time job and usually it takes time, if
one need to create users in bulk.

Probably, you might find 6 other different hacking techniques and solutions

in DHIS 2, but don't trust
on any work around hacking technique at all for doing this work. Always
chose to opt the

Re: [Dhis2-users] Periodic/Real time Data

2013-01-18 Thread Brajesh Murari
Dear Rornald,

Long back, on the fly data mart functionality was there in DHIS2
application which
DHIS2 Indian implementers had provided on demand to one state government in
India. But, I am not sure this functionality is still enabled or get
deprecated. The best thing
with this functionality was that it was doing general, on the fly data mart
on live server
every night with scheduled starts at o hour.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Upgrading to Version 2.10

2013-01-18 Thread Brajesh Murari
Dear Rornald,

Unfortunately, you will not find any DHIS2 system up-gradation
steeps anywhere in DHIS2 user or implementation manual on www.dhis2.org

Simply, follow these 5 easy steeps given below,

1. Download fresh dhis.war file from the link given below, if you will find
here
http://www.dhis2.org/downloads

2. Make your server down, eg. in case, if you are using Apache Tomcat
server, than make it down and replace old dhis.war file from
"$TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/" directory with new downloaded dhis.war. Remove old
extracted dhis directory from the same ie. "$TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/" . Here
make sure the downloaded war file's name should be exactly "dhis.war", not
like "dhis2.war" or "dhis2_10.war" or anything else in
"$TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/" directory, if it is so than rename it to "dhis.war"

3. Download mysql-dhis-upgrade-2.3.sql script from the link given below

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~dhis2-devs-core/dhis2/2.10/view/head:/resources/sql/mysql-dhis-upgrade-2.3.sql

If it will not getting downloaded from above link than copy all the script
contents from above link and save it as
mysql-dhis-upgrade-2.3.sql
on
your local system and then logged in your mysql database which is
configured with your DHIS2.10 application setup and finally execute
"mysql-dhis-upgrade-2.3.sql" script file in selected and configured "dhis"
database instance. This will upgrade your configured database instance from
old version to new version 2.10.

4. Restart both your MySQL Database Server and then Apache Tomcat
Application Server so that your system should adopt new changes.

5. Finally, call your localhost on your browser with DHIS2 log in page and
observe
the successfully application up-gradation.

These above are the lest or minimal steeps for DHIS2 up-gradation on your
local system. But if you want to upgrade on big black box live servers,
than you will have to follow a big lengthy process with large embedded
check list which is quite complicated and boring and it takes almost whole
day or two in making successful system integration upgrade with new version
updates and making server up. But, I am sure, currently you will not find
DHIS2 server up-gradation with new version update system integration
process manual and many more such useful manuals on www.dhis2.org

Regards,
