Great, thanks Markus - I have reported it in JIRA: DHIS2-5249 <https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-5249> I am always just cautious of reporting anything in JIRA before checking to see if I missed something. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Relationships - relationship link not showing on TE #2
Dear Markus Thanks for the response. I will create any new conversations in the community forum as mentioned. Relating to my current issue, we are creating relationships between two different enrollments in 2 different programs (One program for a suspect animal and the other for an exposed human). I would like to link the "exposed animal" to the "exposed human" (each a relationship type). Therefore, for the "Exposed person" relationship type, I have the "Exposed Animal" linked with the Suspect animal program, followed by the second TE type being the exposed person linked with the Exposed human program. The "From constraint" is "TE instance". I tried to do the same with the "Exposed animal" Relationship type, but this resulted in some other errors which I thought were attributed to redundancy. Therefore, for the moment, I only have the "Exposed person" relationship type set up. Under each of the programs themselves, I have also selected the relevant TE type. Under "Related program" I selected the sister program (i.e. for the Suspect animal program, I selected exposed human and visa versa). I hope I managed to explain this clearly. I have attached a screenshot of how I set up the relationship type for your reference. Re: [Dhis2-users] How to create entity attribute with generated value based on others elements
HI Gerard Yes, this is possible with Text Pattern as mentioned previously. One thing I would like to point out is that you create this all in the TE attribute. Therefore, create an attribute (e.g. Unique ID) and then select "Automatically generate". In the pattern, you can then enter the TextPattern that you require. Please note that to create a string, you separate with - and not with +. This is an example I created: CURRENT_DATE(-MM-ww)-"-"-ORG_UNIT_CODE(.)-"-"-"A"-SEQUENTIAL(###) The "-" creates the dashes between the various variables, while the - separates the variables. The number of dots and hashes in the OU code and Sequential relate to the number of items shown. I hope this helps. [Dhis2-users] Relationships - relationship link not showing on TE #2
Dear Community I have been working on creating relationships between two programs. I have managed to create a relationship from 1 program to the other. However, on the enrollment screen for the 2nd TE (TE#2), no program is selected. I then select the appropriate program, but the relationship to the original TE (TE#1) is lost. I assume that there is something that I am missing here? I have specified the referred and original programs for the Tracked Entity Type, yet this does not work. I also get the following reference error: [image: Relationship - Reference Error.png] I am running v2.30. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Re: [Dhis2-users] Syntax error - Mandatory attributes always required
Dear All It seems that there was some sort of error with the custom form. I changed the program to auto-generate a form and this resolved the issue. I am still not sure what would have caused this problem, as all of the same TEAs were used. Therefore, I suspect that this could possibly be a bug? [Dhis2-users] Syntax error - Mandatory attributes always required
Dear All I am struggling with mandatory attributes in a Tracker program. I have ensured that all of the attributes are not mandatory, and that none of the attributes defined to a tracked entity are defined. However, the registration form continues to show that all of the fields are required fields. I have taken a screenshot of the syntax error that I receive on the console, but I do not have the knowledge to understand what it means. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Generating sequential numbers in program rule
Dear Shurajit Thanks for the advice. This worked fantastically - however, the documentation is a little confusing with regards to the required format. Is there somewhere where I can possibly make suggestions for clarification? The string that eventually worked under the Auto-generate section is as follows: CURRENT_DATE(-MM)-"-"-ORG_UNIT_CODE(...)-"-"-SEQUENTIAL() The '+' did not work for me and gave a parse error - this is what is specified in some parts of the documentation, whereas using the '-' worked (as is shown in one example under "SEQUENTIAL(format)". It seems that currently only CURRENT_DATE is supported and not enrollment date? Is there some way to include Enrollment date instead? I tried to simply include ENROLLMENT_DATE(-MM) and this did not work. Thank you once again for the help! Really appreciate it as I have been struggling with this for a while. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Generating sequential numbers in program rule
Dear Zubair, Nick I have upgraded the instance to 2.30 now and am attempting to once again implement the sequential numbering using the TextPattern option. I am using it on a TEAttribute, but have not had any success. Thus far, my Defined program rule action looks as follows: d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-') This is currently working and generating the UID, but of course, without the sequential numbers. I have attempted the following combinations to try include the sequential numbers to no avail: d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-', SEQUENTIAL(###)) d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-', Sequential(###)) d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-', V{Sequential(###)}) d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-', V{sequential(###)}) d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-', V{sequential###}) d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-', 'SEQUENTIAL(###)') - this one simply added the text in (as suspected). d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', V{orgunit_code}, '-') + SEQUENTIAL(###) None of these combinations have worked thus far. Clearly I am misunderstanding something or missing something and would appreciate any help. Re: [Dhis2-users] Unable to create event layer in maps app in 2.30
Hi Nick We have also just upgraded to 2.30 and are experiencing similar issues. We had various maps using event data that was working in 2.28, but now when I look into the event data itself, it seems that the coordinates have all been lost. The name of the field has changed from "Coordinates" to "Geometry". I am not sure if this may be part of the issue? When I tried to update the event data with some coordinates, I select coordinates, update the event entry and then ran analytics to see if this would rectify the problem. This did not seem to work. I then entered a new event entry and subsequently ran analytics again and it seems that it is still not depicting on the map. When going back to that same event entry, I see that the coordinates once again are not available and the field is blanked. Interestingly, all of the graphs attributed to the event data (e.g. sex distribution etc.) are still working - therefore I suspect that this has to do with the event coordinates only and not the actual event data entry. I have cleared cache and tried to create an entirely new map (using both GIS and the new Maps app) and none of this has helped either. Any help would be appreciated, as we have lost all of our maps. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] SMS/Mobile configuration
Dear Samuel I am on 2.28 and I just set up the SMS configuration and gateway by following the steps that you laid out in your descriptive email. I used Clickatell also and have the + and country code included into the number. I used my Clickatell username (not the email address). The clickatell username for me was all lower case (despite initially entering it into their system as uppercase). I am not sure if that may be an issue, but as mentioned, I have managed to set up the SMS function from scratch using what you supplied. One thing you may check is whether your in your "User settings" in your profile, you are over-riding the system settings for "Enabling message SMS notifications". Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Generating sequential numbers in program rule
Dear Zubair Thank you for your rapid response. I have attempted to do this without success. I think I am misunderstanding. 1) I created the program variable "auto-increment' as suggested 2) In this step - is this a new program rule? I created a program rule as follows: "d2:hasValue #UID", Assign "#auto-increment + 1" to field "auto-increment". I then set this as priority 2. 3) I created my UID program rule as with the following action: "d2:concatenate( V{enrollment_date}, '-', A{Closest Health Center}, #{auto-increment})" assigned to the attribute for UID. This is set as priority 1. Unfortunately, this does not create the sequential number, but the concatenated sequence is showing in the UID Attribute. Do I have my priorities incorrect or have I done something else incorrectly? [Dhis2-users] Generating sequential numbers in program rule
Dear All I am creating a program rule to develop a UID for the patient. I have currently created a program rule using d2:concatenate to bring various attributes and DEs together into the Unique ID (such as date and OrgUnit code). However, I would also like to include sequential numbering after this to ensure that more than 1 case can be registered on a single day. I have looked through all of the documentation and am unable to find anything along these lines. Is it possible? Example: 2018-10-10-OrgUnit code-1; 2018-10-10-OrgUnit code-2; 2018-10-10-OrgUnit code-3; etc. (where 1,2 and 3 are the sequential numbers generated). I have also looked at Program Rule variables and am unsure as to what the "Calculated value" source type is, as in the documentation it is listed as "TBA" with no further information. I would appreciate any help or advise. [Dhis2-users] Specifications within a Data Element (Tracker)
Dear All I am interested in placing criteria/specifications within a specific data element. For instance, I have created a DE for a unique ID number to be entered. However, there are specific codes that I would like to have entered into this DE (text type DE). For example, the UID should be 1 letter (either 'A', 'D' or 'E') followed by 4 numbers. The user would input the letter depending on the outcome of the patient and then the numbers. e.g. I am looking for a code as follows: A0001 Is it possible to put into place a programme rule or any other option (this is for Tracker) that restricts user input to one of the 3 letters followed by 4 numbers? Is this at all possible? I considered creating a DE with Cat options that has the 3 letter code options available for selection and then a separate DE for the 4 numbers, but hoped there was a better and more elegant solution. [Dhis2-users] Unidirectional relationships - tracker
Dear All I was wondering whether anyone could assist me. I am looking to create a unidirectional relationship in tracker capture. For our example, I am looking to have a suspect animal linked to a specific patient that is being treated. Therefore, the health professional treating the patient can determine the necessary treatment based on the outcome of the investigation into the animal. However, we do not want the people working in the veterinary sector (those dealing with the animal) to be able to see the confidential human patient information. Is there a way to link two programmes without having a relationship? Or alternatively, is there a way to have a unidirectional relationship? I understand that automated notifications could be a simple remedy to this, but this would remove the appealing 'automation' of the system, as one would need a data capturer in both the clinic and at the vet offices to capture and record the information from the notifications and match that to the relevant case. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated. Hi Georgi We are experiencing the same issues, as we are also working between multiple countries with data that should not be shared between different countries. As you mentioned, all of the other permissions restrict other countries from seeing country-specific data, but the interpretations (and that associated charts/tables etc.) are shared publicly. Have you managed to find a means to prevent this? I did a quick search on JIRA and could not find anything relevant. Have you opened an issue there that I could possibly vote on? [Dhis2-users] Import of a new event (not from another instance)
Dear All We have collected animal vaccination data (including GPS coordinates, time, date, species etc.) in a custom developed program and have a CSV output for this program. We are looking to try to import the data from the custom-built programme into our DHIS2 instance via Event import. I have gotten the import to work on Event export files that I have edited with new animal data (e.g. by changing the species) and this works, as it simply updates the old event (based on the event ID). However, we would like to import these data as new events as opposed to simply replacing existing events currently on the system. Therefore, I would like to please find out as to whether it is possible to do one of the following: 1) Do an event import without an Event ID (i.e. register a new event on the DHIS2 instance via Event import) - I have looked through the documentation but am unable to find out whetherthis is possible - In the Developer Docs, it seems to mention that import using XML does notrequire an Event ID, but I have not managed to determine whether I am misinterpreting this or whether I simply do not know how to do it. 2) Generate our own Event IDs in our custom-built programme that will be recognised by the DHIS2 instance. - Is there some way by which the Event IDs could be automatically generated outside of the DHIS2 instance (in our programme) so that new events can be imported into the instance? Please let me know if you need any further clarification. I would really appreciate any help that you could provide! Hi Lise We have been using the embed function on the webpage and it has been working great for us. You can see the interactive map that we have made at the following link: https://rabiesalliance.org/networks/paracon/bulletin It is really easy to use and is not cumbersome - it only takes a few seconds per visual once the webpage had been set up on our side. Re: [Dhis2-users] User permissions - view visuals specific Org unit and not children
Dear Prosper Thank you very much for the response. Unfortunately, we cannot create the user roles to view Dashboards alone as the users will still need to be able to make their own visuals for their country. Our solution to this issue will therefore be to have an external webpage where the selected visuals from each of the dashboards are then embedded into the page for public view, and the dashboards within the DHIS2 instance remain confidential to each country with user roles per Org Unit only. [Dhis2-users] User permissions - view visuals specific Org unit and not children
Dear All We have created a dashboard for every country that we are working in. Some of these countries have granted us permission to share their data publicly, but only the aggregated data collected at the national level (i.e. not the children such as provinces/districts as this must remain confidential for the country). We have created users by Org unit and assigned the relevant users to their own org unit. In addition, on the dashboards, we have enabled "Public access" option with a view only status so that all users can see that dashboard. However, the data on the dashboard of other countries is not viewable as permission has not been granted in their user status. The problem comes in when you grant permission under User - if you enable access to the other countries under the "Data output and analysis organisation units" section, then all of the children of those Org units are selected with no option to only select a certain Org Unit level. Is there some sort of way around this so that other countries can only see the visuals on each other's dashboards? (All of the visuals on the country dashboards are aggregated national level data). I hope that this makes sense. Your help would be appreciated. [Dhis2-users] Programme indicator - Days between
Dear All I have been attempting to create a programme indicator for a tracker with registration that calculates the number of days since the incident (i.e. the current date - the incident date). I have tried the following: d2:daysBetween(V{incident_date},V{current_date}) I have also switched around the incident date and the current date as I thought I may have gotten this wrong. The indicator shows up in the programme under the indicators widget but the output is always "0". Clearly I have done something wrong, but I just can't seem to identify what it is. The DE for vaccine administered is a Yes/No DE. I have tried to create the Expression as follows: #{AEFV} == 'No' The actions are "Hide Field" for each of the symptoms (which are each a DE themselves). I have then tested this in the tracker capture and it does not hide those fields when entering data. I am sure that I am missing something, but I can't seem to figure it out. Re: [Dhis2-users] Interoperating 2 DHIS2 instances to pull data from one to other.
Hi Vunda We are also interested in interoperating two instances and would also like to have data mirrored between the two instances automatically. Any advice would be welcome as to how to proceed with this - we are specifically interested in mirroring a tracker programme. Re: [Dhis2-users] Data not displaying in Pivot tables and Data Set reports
Hi Lars Thanks very much for the advice. We checked all of the points that you mentioned and altered them as suggested for future reference also. It seemed to be the problem with forgetting to regenerate the analytics tables after data entry. We have thus set this as a scheduled event now! Thanks again for all of the help and responses. [Dhis2-users] Data not displaying in Pivot tables and Data Set reports
Dear All I found this thread on the LaunchPad ( https://lists.launchpad.net/dhis2-users/msg07859.html) and we are experiencing similar problems with our data. We are able to have various different users entering data into datasets, but as soon as you look to generate a report or use data visualiser/pivot tables etc. then no data is available. If you generate a report, the entire report format comes out clearly and as it should be, but none of the entered data appears. So it is not something to do with the creation of the data sets. Could anyone please provide any assistance? [Dhis2-users] Longer frequency on Data Sets
Dear All I am currently working to develop several datasets that will be used for the reporting of data. We have developed some data sets for 6 monthly reports, but are also looking to have datasets that are only reported every 3 years. On the frequency dropdown menu, there are only options for "Annual" reporting. Is it possible to change this somehow, or to find another means to have a 3-year reporting period? Dear Abyot Thank you for the suggestion. It seemed that there was a minor bug as we upgraded DHIS 2 from 2.22 revision 21785 to revision 21901 and this resolved the issue. [Dhis2-users] Data elements not showing when creating custom form
Dear DHIS2 users. We are currently working on version 2.22 of DHIS2. I am creating a data entry form and have several Yes/No questions that I have built as data elements. When building these data elements, I have stipulated that the "Value Type" should be 'Yes/No' and the "Aggregation Operator" should be 'none'. When I go to design the data entry form (under Data Sets), some of the data elements only appear under the "Totals" tab in the "insert data elements, totals and indicators" box. When testing the data entry by inputting random data on the data entry form, these boxes appear with a '0' in them already and dont have the option of changing to either a 'Yes' or a 'No'. How do I change these data elements to appear under the "data elements" tab in the "insert data elements, totals and indicators" box, and make them into simple 'Yes/No' selection box questions? Any help would be appreciated.
