Re: [digitalradio] atv?
I have now. One thing I do note though is that the British TV/VCR systems run PAL, not NTSC, so therefore wonder if their software is compatable with both systems. Will take a closer look at this, when I can keep my eyes open and study without jerking awake every few moments. Thanks Danny - Original Message - From: Andrew J. Re: [digitalradio] atv?
Danny, I have limited experience with ATV. But I don't think the 706 will transmit or receive ATV. The bandwidth of an ATV signal is somewhere around 5MHz. I don't remember the exact frequencies. The distance of the ATV signal is pretty much line of sight. Our radio club has the setup to do ATV but it is one of the units that is for that mode. How well I know how you feel about buying ham gear. We are in the same boat. Re: [digitalradio] Re: RTTYM now !
Paul, since I paid my hard earned cash for MixW some years ago, and Nick and Dennis have worked so hard on the program, I have decided that even though Santa gave me an advanced copy of the next version, It would be wrong of me to post the updated version. I'll let the new version come out via the official channels. I DID give a copy to someone that I could at least test things with, but to someone that was also a registered user. The one downfall that I can see is that we have now MORE possibilities to consider when we hear an Olivia-sounding signal on the air, we now have three "modes" to cycle through. Are there specifics for coding tables publicly available? I would be interested in testing this out with gMFSK. Great lil' software program. One suggestion however: Create a lil' shortcut for each parameter and place them on the desktop. (mine are PSK, Echolnk and normal) Then it just takes a click and the soundcard changes are done in the background... The first time you click on one, it may ask you what program to use to open the file... Just tell it where Quickmix is and your are in business. This way you never have to take the time to actually open QuickMix.. Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups. RE: [digitalradio] software to save digital settings
Hi Mel, For Windows there is the QuickMix program from ... the UK, no less, at: http://www.ptpart.co.uk/quickmix/ I have found it to be immensely helpful as I am often switching between different uses for the computer and have several settings such as: PSK (many sound card modes) Echolink (also works for general play back of soundcard) MIDI (music files) Once you have it, you can hardly believe that you used to live without it. Click on the program, select the mode and everything is instantly changed to those sound card parameters. They also have a record/playback program. I wonder if there is anything like this for Linux? 73, Rick, KV9U -Original Message- From: digitalradio@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mel Sent: Monday, November 14, 2005 14:46 To: digitalradio@yahoogroups.com Subject: [digitalradio] software to save digital settings Hello everyone , During last week I read somewhere, but I can't remember where, about some software which saves the settings on Wave and Volume when a change is made from Digipan to Stream for example.
