Re: [slim] Album Songs Out Of Order

[OT]

Using latest 7.9 nightly.

I added a new album to my Music folder (the folder entered at LMS >
Settings > Basic Settings > Music Folders).
Using BMF I browsed to the album and played a track.

I can now access this new album by:

Home > Album Artists >
Home > Albums >
Home > Genres >
Home Years >
All above complete with cover art.

I concede that this new album *does not* show under Home > New Music,
nor can I search for it.

Maybe something Michael would like to comment on?

Squeezeplay for OSX intel is now also available for download from

Yapp - but i think we should do open a new thread for this - cause its
OT and i even realised in the morning that this thread is already "very"
old.

btw: I "talk" to Michael about this long ago and he didnt answer me
"your wrong" so i already have a workaround for this.

Simple by adding the new files into a playlist and do the
scanner-playlist command - that is fast works and (other than using the
lms webgui to bmf) its scriptable:)

If you'r want to try it and run a *nix system for lms - gimme a
feedback.

No interest in BMF.

When I've ripped a new album with EZ CD Audio Convertor, tagged to my
liking with mp3tag, found on internet or scanned the album cover,
resized, adjusted color ect., embedded the artwork, added replay gain
tags with Foobar 2000, added the music folder/files to my "L" drive,
synched this to my Raspberry Pi attached USB drive, I'm sure I can wait
a couple of minutes while I do a New and Changed scan :)

Re: [slim] if you could voice-enable squeeze boxen...

2016-05-28 Thread pippin

Amy kind of complex stuff, like deep search or directly setting complex
alarms and such.
It's the only thing I'd ever consider to use voice for but it's hard...
The search part would probably only work for the local library on SB

Been there! My main rsync job (the #1 backup) is wrapped in a Perl
script that counts directories on the source drive and doesn't do
anything if nothing is found.

I haven't found this to be an issue since putting everything under
Ubuntu, but it bit me pretty hard once when I was doing file sharing
under Windows. Both Vista and 7 had a nasty habit of deciding they
didn't want to share any more...
