Re: [slim] Pandora now in 192kbps!

2020-06-04 Thread freelsjd

So, I reinstalled the pandora plugin (that is required), and also made
sure that the current pandora password for my pandora account is entered
in the pandora my apps on mysqueezebox, and it works and runs pandora at
192 kbps. Probably one of the main reasons I dropped it before was the
limit of 128 kbps before, although nowadays the norm is probably 320
kbps. Guess Pandora will always be one step behind ? Anyway, my
question: with respect to LMS, there appears to be no difference
between the basic free account and the non-free accounts plus and
premium. I realize, I can do all these things on the Pandora web
interface, but with respect to the LMS interface, I can just create and
play radio stations whether free or paid, correct ?

Michael, thanks for the heads up and any and all efforts to get Pandora
to 192 kbps. I am debating to try the plus account for a while which is
reasonable at $5/mo. Maybe use to try new albums out.

it does, but not on some of the playlists where this specifically
happens.

but here's one instance:

however, you can see the file names in the playlist, albeit w/o cover
art in some instances. when i load them into the queue, the art work
appears, and the files play fine:

If you rescan playlists does the log say any tracks can't be found?

yeah, not sure if spotify connect supports syncing. however, ropieeeXL
also supports airplay, which does.

but as someone else has noted, two sonos ones is probably the simplest,
cheapest way to do this, and integrate local and online libraries.

Re: [slim] A way to remember track position in streams?

I second this request. I would love it if TuneIn would remember where I
left off in my podcast from session to session (I only listen to partial
podcasts before going to bed).

Re: [slim] Seeking advice on multi-room systems for non-techies

In the original post an interim measure of a bluetooth speaker was
suggested. If budget allows I'd upgrade that to a Bluetooth / AirPlay
speaker - something like a Libratone Zipp - as it could then be used
with Phillipe's AirPlay Bridge plugin in a future LMS. Its also a very
good portable speaker.
