Re: [slim] Albums with Multiple Covers
Has anybody ever seen a pulgin or mod that would do this or maybe the developer teams would like to consider adding this feature to future LMS releases LMS currently only supports a single image per track. Changing this would be pretty involved, as the database structure can't handle more than one right now. What you could do is store the images individually as independent JPG files in the folder of the album. Then you could use the Music and Artist Information plugin to watch them. ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Webstreaming through galaxywebsolutions.com - timing out?
Just tried to stream a couple of radio stations that use galaxywebsolutions.com and are finding that they time out. What IO::Socket::SSL version are you using (see Settings/Information)? Most reports of some servers timing out recently were due to outdated libraries. [slim] Albums with Multiple Covers
I use MP3tag to add multiple covers to many of my albums. For example I will use the front cover as cover number 1 (in MP3tag) , rear cover as number 2 and perhaps a few key pages from the albums booklet as number 3,4, if there is a booklet. On the LMS GUI only the front cover is ever shown, the other covers are never seen at all. I think it would be a good idea to add multiple cover feature to LMS, whereby it scrolls through each front cover, or allows you to manually scroll through the covers. Auto scroll or manual scroll etc can be a selectable option on the Settings page. Has anybody ever seen a pulgin or mod that would do this or maybe the developer teams would like to consider adding this feature to future LMS releases Marry Christmas Sean SeanMiddleton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65522 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115448 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Light bulb moment! I've deleted my first post today, because of inaccuracies. All my library views are created using "file path contains". E.g. file path contains Wendy's music, Squeezebox music, etc.. 36206 However for my Christmas library view, I only used the term *Christmas* and not "*Christmas music*", so of course the library view contained tracks/albums that contained the word Christmas that weren't in the Christmas music folder that LMS scans. Re: [slim] Multiple libaries?
I've just discovered the reason why Random mix doesn't work as expected, you need to select the library view, and this is global, i.e. cannot be set per player. 36205 +---+ |Filename: randomselection2.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=36205| +---+ *Server - LMS 8.3.0 *Pi4B 4GB/Argon one case/pCP 8.0.0 - 75K library, playlists & LMS cache on SSD (ntfs) *Study -* Pi4/pCP 8.0.0/Topping E30 DAC/Ruark MR1 Mk2 *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 8.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP/Bluetooth/Echo Show 8 *Garage* - DAC32 > Edifier speakers *Spares* - 2xTouch, 1xSB Radio. 1xSB3, 6xRPi kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114396 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Multiple libaries?
I find that assigning different library views to different players doesn't seem to work in all cases. E.g. Using the *default UI* I can assign different library views to different players. If I select player A (assigned "Christmas music" library view) and click on Albums or Album Artists, it displays Albums or Album Artists from "Christmas music". If I select player B (assigned "Squeezebox music" library view) and click on Albums or Album Artists, it displays Albums or Album Artists from "Squeezebox music". For Albums and Album Artists, selecting a particular player from the player dropdown box top right, instantly changes the Albums or Album Artists displayed in the left panel, to match the assigned library view for that player, as expected. However, selecting player A (Christmas Music), clicking on *Random Albums* or *New music* displays only albums from "all library" that contain a track with the word Christmas in the track title. My "*Random mix*" is set to show 100 upcoming tracks, if I press play on the random songs item, scrolling down the playlist queue, there isn't a single track listed from my "Christmas music" library view. All above is true for the Default skin, Squeezebox Touch UI, and Jivelite on a PI/piCore screen. Using the Material skin or Orange Squeeze, UI displays only Albums or Album Artists, etc. from the last library view that I selected using that UI, no matter which player I select. *Server - LMS 8.3.0 *Pi4B 4GB/Argon one case/pCP 8.0.0 - 75K library, playlists & LMS cache on SSD (ntfs) *Study -* Pi4/pCP 8.0.0/Topping E30 DAC/Ruark MR1 Mk2 *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 8.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP/Bluetooth/Echo Show 8 *Garage* - DAC32 > Edifier speakers *Spares* - 2xTouch, 1xSB Radio. 1xSB3, 6xRPi kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114396 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
