Lifting this thread with a question. The swedish ISP Telia recently had this ad (I've cut out this piece): [image: http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu77/hakanTCM/Faktiskt/Telia_SB_Spotify.png] It says (among other things): Logitech Squeezebox Radio is a wireless internet radio. Soon this product will also support Spotify premium. Re: [slim] Swedish Radio as OPML
I e-mailed SR and asked my old question about metadata and got this response (sorry about all Swedish here, but I guess it's primarily a Swedish issue): Hej Håkan! Good work! I will e-mail them. Another question that I've raised with the same person is song information imbedded in the wma stream. I guess there's something similar to id3-tags for wma streams. Last time I checked the Squeezebox screen showed: Artist: Sveriges Radio Titel: P3 Svea - Sveriges Radio AB The answer was: Det beror antagligen på att Sveriges Radio använder en egen sorts taggning från utsändningen till webbspelaren och inte standard-märking (ex ID3-taggning) i streamingen. So the SqueezeBox price is quite normal in my opinion. But the Transporter price seems strange, if the same percentage was added as on the SqueezeBox this would give a price at about SEK 20060 ($2983) which seems a lot more resonable than the current Logitech price at SEK 25000 ($3635) Either this is an error on national prices on the Logitech site or they have some sort of strategy to only sell Transporter devices to certain countries. Hopefully, someone from Logitech will soon read this thread and give us some sort of answer. Well, that's true, it was primarily the Transporter price I was shocked about. *But* you've got a product (SB3), that's been on the ever changing technology/home entertainment market for 2-3 (?) years. I use it all day long. :) http://www.hamachi.cc Hej bernt! I've been looking to try Hamachi for a while now (to use with slimserver: work - home) and when I read this I decided to try. Unfortunatly I ran into problems. At work I managed to install Hamachi, but when I tried to connect the first time it didn't work. I only get a Failed to connect to the mediation server bibi.hamachi.cc. Would you like to keep trying?-messege. It probably has something to do with the company firewall or something... Do you know any steps to work around this? /Håkan -- TCM http://www.last.fm/user/ThisCharmingMan/ TCM's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=702 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27269 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

If you're running version 6.3.1 I would really like to know if you can play the following streams on SB3. mms://wmscr1.dr.dk/e02ch03m http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/webbradio/createasx.asp?namn=SR-p3-High Regards Claus Hi! I don't know about version 6.3.1 [I'm running 6.3.0, on win xp], but the adress for P3 is as far as I know mms://sr-wm.qbrick.com/02038_SR-P3-High and that is working for me. Check out this page http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/mall/artikel.asp?ProgramID=2321Artikel=787720 There you have the adresses for all the web radio channels of swedish national radio (page in swedish, but since you're danish that won't be a problem...?). I found this guide [ https://www.ripcaster.co.uk/node/18 ] the other day. Have not tried it yet though, but it seems to be a detailed guide. I'm interested to here from others that have gone this way. There are complicated styleguides (especially for classical), but for most stuff it's easy. I read somewhere that Picard were mainly for albums? As I understand this http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/audiohelp.shtml#formats they do stream Five Live Sports Extra in Windows media as well. It's interesting to hear the swedish games commentated by the BBC for instance.
